It was very deep razor burn! The young woman who groomed him seemed rough as well as inexperienced. She said he already had a sore on his face. I know for sure he didn't. When I got home I removed his bandana and found a huge burn on the other side of his face that had been deliberately covered up! It was way deeper and worse than the one that was shown to me. I contacted the owner of the 'Dazzling Dog for an explanation. No compassion or understanding from her and no acknowledgement of their negligence. Just kept saying these sores were already there!! It's really not about the money, although after 150 for grooming and another $130 for the vet, it's pretty pricey for a hack job. No offer for a discount or refund either What I do I care about is how much my dog is suffering due to their incompetence. He is in agony right now. I took him to his vet. He needs a topical cream plus he probably needs to be on an antibiotic. The sores look terrible, they are deep and bleed often. His haircut was a nightmare too, I've never seen anything quite like it - poofy on the top like a dome and a square nose!! Had to fix it myself when I got home. I love dogs and spend 24 hours a day with mine, they are close companions and I know if every nook and cranny! I know 100% that before he went to the groomers he was fine. I am devastated by this. As a result I will be following up on this situation with further action and will be sharing more info to keep dog owners informed of their rights. I know this is a long review but I really believe that pet owners need to be aware of the character of the people that own and work at the 'Dazzling Dog' You just never know if and when this could happen to your beloved pet.

When she understandably tried to nip at his hand and run, he proceeded to pull her off the table by the tail and hung her above his head for several seconds. Didn't even bother to grab her by her harness. Also saw 2 other dogs kept in kennels (which were way too small for their size) that were visibly shaking and in a state of fear. Do NOT take your dog here. Frank works alone and without supervision, and other dog owners leave them in his care while they carry our their daily duties which is frightening, because I assume they've never truly seen how he operates. His workspace was also very unkempt and untidy, which is most likely a factor in some of the other dogs contracting kennel cough after their stays here. SPCA has been notified and conducting an investigation.

I was told that the groom was going to be about 3 hours. When I arrive back to pick up my dog, nothing I asked for was done. I had to send him back to have his bum done. I paid $81.90 plus a tip for the groom. When I got home and really had a chance to look at my dog, it was worse than I thought. I emailed the owner and received a call back the next day. I took my dog back in to have him redone. I was advised by the owner that the person who accepted my dog was only the dog bather and not a groomer. I'm not sure how the groomer is supposed to know what I want when the groomer hasn't spoken to me or seen the picture I showed. For every question I asked, there was an excuse. When I inquired whether the $81.90 was the price for a full groom or a tidy, she told me that that's what they had charged me because they charged by the hour. My regular groomer takes an hour and a half and does an amazing job. Unfortunately, she's away right now.I'm not sure why it takes 3 hours. Is this so they can charge more? I've never heard of a place charging by the hour. I'm finding that groomers are charging more ($80+ for a small to medium dog) but most grooms are mediocre. It's very hard to find a good groomer now. Kelowna Paw Spa's website shows nothing but positive 5 star reviews. I honestly don't think that every customer they have gives them a five 5 review. I'm only giving them a one star review because I can't give them a zero.
