I had gone in after months of research and saving up and wanted multi highlights with obvious highlights showing and keeping more red undertone. The picture on left is the coloring I wanted and the one on right is what I got. Everyone who has seen my hair says it's nothing like the picture. Nor is the cut anything of quality. I could have cut my hair probably better. Again picture on left is the layers I asked for (mind you I had very long hair and a lot to work with) and the cut (in right). This cost almost 500 dollars and it's heartbreaking that I wasted my money.

I paid $60 for a full haircut, shampoo and blow dry. I was paying $40 at my last place and have often times paid $60 -$70 for a haircut. I thought the price very reasonable and I'll admit - there is something in you get what you pay for. Even though I liked my last stylist in Oregon that only charged me $40, I always felt it was never quite what I wanted. I left Salon East super happy and look forward to going back.

Back to the salon...I was assigned to Tito who is phenomenal because he is wicked patient, listens and understands what I am looking for. My hair has been through all the things...bleached, chopped, dyed etc and honestly this salon saved my hair. They also have Oribe products. The color was much lighter than expected, only in some sections of my hair, and looked really unnatural. My friends and family had nothing positive to say about it and it wasn't really a great look for work. I dyed the blonde highlights dark brown two days later myself. Ange was also nice enough to take before and after pictures and send them to me. I'll be going in a month or two to get it even lighter! This only took about two hours, too. The hair color and cut was not what I wanted. Not only was it outrageously expensive but she thought I was going to give her the "normal tip of 20%". Sure I told the envelope and sealed it empty.
