This was my first visit to Clipper King, Professional Family Barbershop, and unbeknown to me until I received a business card from my female barber, Freda is a Master Barber and Owner of the Shop. The appearance of the Shop was clean and neat, and Freda is an excellent Master Barber .... and also an excellent giver of shaves. I posed somewhat of a problem for Ms Freda by showing up with an overgrown head of hair, along with an overgrown beard .... which she handled superbly and professionally ... while dealing simultaneously with my comments, my wife's directions, and barbering tools to make me look much, much better. In addition to this Yelp Review, I intend to tell others about the Clipper King and Ms Freda and recommend this Barbershop. By the way, I also reviewed their Website and found it accurate, interesting and informative. However, I did notice the Phone Number for Clipper King within their Website was different from that listed on their Business Card - yet that didn't detract from the quality of their service. Drop by and - - Enjoy read more

My dad is recovering in a rehab facility and was in horrible need of a shave after 1 1/2 weeks. I came here at 3 on Saturday, and she was finishing up with a customer and no one else was waiting. She told me that she would not help him and I had to take him to another place. I am standing in front of the door at 345 and they are closed. Don't put that you are open till 4, if you are going to close early. read more

My 3rd visit with Freda and she does excellent work, never disappoints! Book your appointment at least a day in advance. Its worth it!

I must agree with the bad reviews what kind of business is this got turn down to get my son a hair cut cause it's 4:15 PM and they don't have time when they close at 6:00 Like ok don't want business close doors. read more

This Barshop is a great shop, where it's always clean. They run there business on a appointment basis. It is not a great clips where they can accommodate walk ins. They do take new customers upon appointment! I have referred so many people to them and they are happy to take them! Ricky does a great job! Cleanest fade and is patient with kids! Prices are reasonable for true barbering skills. read more

Went in for my first time today, and it's definitely worth the five stars. I came in without an appointment but they gladly took me in. There was a bit of a wait time, so I'll be making an appointment next time around. The place is clean, organized and has plenty of seating available. I got my haircut from Freda. She is patient, detailed, gives a good taper and is friendly. I definitely plan to come here more often. read more

Freedah is not bad, only disappointment is that they are always bussy. Appointments are not always withheld, happened twice to me already.

Man this place saved my day. Went to another shop after making an appt and long story short bad customer service. Freda hooked me up. She is a good barber and the price aint expensive either. I paid half of what i normally pay. If you are looking for a barber and in the area check her out or hit up the other barbers in this shop. Thnx Freda hookin me up with a fresh cut read more

I don't know what everyone else below are talking about. This is the best and only really good barbershop in town if you want tapers or fades. The two gentlemen on the end are great! Ricky is the best. I have tried other places and no one is as good as him. They joke around and have fun and the ball games are always on the screen. Love this place.. read more

This is the second time my husband gets turned down for a cut because the girl doesn't feel like working. We came in today and she closed in 20 minutes and said no and she also did it to my son one time. Will not come back.. Seems like they don't need new business read more

Clipper King is a great barber shop! I have been going there for a year and a half. They always do great job, especially if you want a fade! I primarily go to Freda, but Ricky has also helped me a few times. They are both very meticulous! The prices and customer service are Great! read more

My son is 22 months old and it's hard to find someone that can cut his hair good, I tried out a few barbers but was always unsatisfied until I came across this place. Ricky is the BEST!! 100% recommend him. read more

I have been coming to clipper king since 2013 and have never been disappointed. Ricky is my barber and does an amazing job on my hair every time. The cuts are very reasonably priced, the staff is friendly (big time jokers) which creates a relaxing environment. shout out to Freda, Ricky and Miguel. read more

I've been going here for years now because I can't stand when someone messes up my haircut. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about that anymore. Price is comparable to the big chains, but MUCH higher quality. Would recommend calling and scheduling an appointment because they are always busy. read more

Best cuts in Manteca. So I recommend making an appointment. Ricky is the one that cuts my son's and my Hair but I've gotten great cut from all three barbers read more

Man, if I could give this barber shop less than a star I would. I walk in on Monday morning, and there was one lady named Frida cutting hair. She was in the middle of a haircut so, me as a walk in goes and sits down to wait, and I was the only other customer in there looking to get a haircut. So about 10 minutes later another gentleman walks in, he came in said hi and sat down. He didn't state if he had an appointment or not. Frida finishes the haircut and she looks to me, so I stand up and she ask if I could let the other gentleman go first. I wasn't in a rush or anything so I obliged. Whether he had an appointment or not, i'll give them the benefit of the doubt that he did have an appointment. Anyways I am sitting down waiting patiently and she finishes the haircut so now I am next. I go and sit in the chair and I tell her everything I want, with detail. A 2 on the top, a 1 on the sides into a fade, a lineup and a lineup on my beard. Throughout the haircut I felt hard scratches that came from the clippers, that i've never felt at any barber shop in my life. I had to remind her that I wanted my beard to be lined up, and she lined it up. But here's the thing, she was rough, had no care or anything. She pressed the clippers into my neck and just shaved my skin off so quickly. Then after that she grabbed the automatic shaved and pressed that into my neck as well. By the time I was done, my entire neck was red and beyond scratched up. Having to go to work with all these scratches and redness on my neck is not fun, constantly being asked what happened. I'm taking the steps to heal the skin, and if this happens to you, go to your local Walmart or Target to get some Aloe Vera gel, it will help cool down that burning sensation, and it will heal your skin. Anywho, this is the worst experience i've had with a barber. I'm never stepping in that shop again. Good luck to all who go and try this place out, just stating my opinion and my experience. Have a great day everyone! read more

Nobody has time for haircuts here . I don't think they do that here. Always the same question and I get the same answer every time . They barely talk when they say no too . Just go some other place read more

This place sucks. Favors regulars and they do not like new customers. I came in sat down and waited while the barber there just sat around and watched tv. Eventually after he got his fill of tv he said what do you want. I should've walked out but needed to get my haircut and didn't know where else to go. All other barbers were closed at the time. I understand the conversation inside barber shops are supposed to be fun and the conversations held in this place is harassment. Will never recommend anyone to go there. Nothing more to say about this dump of a place. read more

They suck.... No communication!! Always saying they are booked when in reality, they are just sitting around.

This place is the best Miguel is my barber but I've been cut buy Freda &Ricky too, BUT people don't realize, YOU NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT don't come in and just sit down expecting to be next, simply ask.
