They used high pressure tactics on my husband and I. We were made to feel like we didn't have much of an option other than to purchase a new AC unit that was twice the price that Air Repair HVAC provided us with. It turns out that their competitor was also charging us more than double for the biannual maintenance check than Air Repair HVAC charges. To myself, it was considered an emergency because I had to shut my water off from the main water line outside and couldn't use it because of the leak. I called all over the High Desert looking for a plumber to come out to asset the matter and kept coming up dry, until I reached out to Oak Hills Plumbing. They immediately sent out two of their guy's who came and checked out the situation. Inspected the leak and thoroughly explained what the problem was from there I given a quote (which I accepted) and my leak was fixed shortly after. We noticed ac is not working on august 23, called oak hills and texted eduardo on the 24th. Carlos, introduced as owner, Check the ac and attempted to repair on 25th but unfortunately it's unrepairable. They informed us the installment of new AC is on saturday aug 29. However, on short notice, they texted us that equipment delivery on friday august 28, thinking its only the loaner portable ac. To our surprise, they did install on friday on short notice. However, the ac is not blowing cold air. So they informed us that it will be continued on monday -aug 31 since there's missing parts. So they finish the job monday but it has a tar smell and was instructed it should go away. So we left our windows open and fan to blow the air out just for us not to inhale the tar seal installed. Sept 5 was the schedule of our vent cleaning, thinking it will be them to be here since eduardo said, one of the guys will come. To our surprise, stanley steemer showed up and informed us that our "landlord" scheduled the cleaning. I was so surprise that he mentioned landlord but in fact i own the house. The stanley steemer guy almost didnt finish the job halfway because he a got a call that the card used was declined. We kept calling Eduardo to help us for the issue but he's not answering however carlos suddenly called. Sunday comes, sept 6, carlos(who talk to us for the quote and check out everything) suddenly text us that he needs to check the ac since its raining and will add more tar. After he added the tar, the smell is so strong that we again need to leave the door and window open. Monday comes, the smell didnt fade away. Tuesday comes and we almost brought our parents to hospital due to strong smell that they can't breathe well,.We asked him to check himself inside the house about the smell. carlos check again and informed us that there's a hole that was not covered that causes it to smell really bad. We ask multiple times about their license number but refused to give us. After the incident, Carlos offered free maintenance for few times.
