When I called the office back, I got a story about one of their guys who takes orders had been off work due to an illness and that they must have lost the order. I asked them to come back out and was told it would be another week before anyone could come out. After this, I called another Heat/AC place to see if they could get there sooner, and they were able to get there in 2 days and fix the issue. Now Russell and Lemay has charged me more to do nothing than the company that actually fixed the problem. I explained all the issues that I had with the way they treated me and they still want me to pay this bill, so I told them that I would pay it, had no problem paying it, as long as they didn't mind losing me as a customer. Greg came out on short notice on a Saturday to take a look, and it didn't take long to see that he really knows what he's doing. On top of that, he's a really nice guy who clearly cares about his customers. We have an older unit that has seen better days, so Greg will have to order some parts, which is pretty much impossible on weekends. However, he was still able to tweak some things to get the heat back on until he's able to come back to replace the parts; that takes a deep understanding of HVAC repair. The house is now toasty warm, and I can't say for sure, but I think it's heating better than it did before -- and this is just a temporary fix. That's outstanding! I called AIRCO specifically due to a commercial they ran stating if your A/C is running all day and…read morenot cooling, we can diagnose it for $99.00. My A/C was doing this, running all day & not cooling so I called for service. (it is very hot this month, so I kind of expected the unit to run all day, but it was not cooling good) Since this was not an emergency, I scheduled service for the following week. The company texted me to confirm the day before. They then texted to say the tech was on their way. The tech also texted me that he was on his way. (What service!!) Once he arrived, I explained the situation. The tech checked several things inside then proceeded to check my unit outside. I assumed it needed Freon but it did not. My unit had not been cleaned in many, many years so, it was pretty dirty. The tech explained he could clean it and named the price. The price was reasonable so I agreed for him to clean it. It took about 20-25 minutes. I also had a $25 coupon I got off of the AIRCO site, which the tech honored. It has been a few weeks now and my A/C seems to be running much better and cooling much better. I feel the tech was honest and did not try to persuade me to purchase anything I did not need or scam me. AIRCO seems like a very reputable company with honest workers and great service. I will certainly use them again and if affordable, I will get on their maintenance plan.

Earlier this summer we began to notice a slight musty smell in the house, especially upstairs. After we got back from summer vacation, when we walked in we knew we had a problem. Being gone for more than a week allowed us to REALLY NOTICE how things smelled. The upstairs zone seemed to be the culprit as the AC seemed to be spreading it through the vents. Nothing like some good Oregon Coast Air to clear your senses! After, a quick inspection in the attic space i noticed water dripping from the unit into the over flow catch pan. After seeing the water in the attic above our living space, I knew we needed to act fast as I could tell the pan was for emergency only and was not suppose to have water at all, much less full to the brim! In the middle of July it's hard to get a quick response from Heat and Air companies so when you get immediate results you know you're dealing with a credible and well managed business. Chenal Heating and Air was just that. I talked with one of the owners on the phone and was promised an inspection late that afternoon! In fact, they called me back just after lunch and asked if it was convenient for them to come out earlier than promised. Wow! Chad and Tony showed up and began their inspection. They were very professional and found the problem right away. Within minutes the air in the upstairs zone was noticeably cleaner and after they were finished with their service, they offered to inspect all the equipment for us for free as we have only been in this home for a year. Thanks to Chenal Heating and Air, I now know the manufacture dates of each piece of equipment (I never knew they were that old and inefficient). They also explained areas where "proper installation practices" were not used in the original install. The whole upstairs unit is so off level, it contributes to the leak problem that has been going on for some time. There are definitely some changes that need to be made on both zones of my home, and when I'm ready I know who to call. As of today, my old and not so energy efficient equipment is working as good as possible because of their prompt and excellent service...and now the upstairs smells like a Febreze Commercial!
