I then received another email on June 2nd saying they were going to send me to collections for my $4.00 co-pay. The thing that upset me was that I have been a client of theirs for a number of years, and to send me a nasty gram via email for $4.00 has caused me to seek eye care somewhere else. It was the principle behind it. I could have paid when I came to see them in August I have never not paid them. The other thing that was upsetting was they had told me was that I would be refunded for the contact fitting that my daughter had, but because she was so young was having problems getting the contact in. When I said I didn't want the money back just the ability to get it done this coming year she said they couldn't do it. I do not like being told one thing, and then another months later. The doctor is great, but the fact his staff is allowed to treat long standing paying clients this way speaks volumes.
