I've been blessed to meet a doctor with such great competence and love for her patients. She has delivered my two children and made both experiences worthwhile and memorable. From my prenatal visits, enjoying her staff- Loretta, Kathy, Pat, Saffie, Tiffany and the list goes on... until my actual delivery. My last pregnancy was rough in comparison to my first which was very easy. Throughout this Dr.Jacob paid close attention and administered the appropriate treatment. I value her expertise and admire her knowledge. If you are looking for an OB GYN that has a low rate for c-section and is on top of the latest research- She is that person! She is fantastic!

We chose her as our ob since she's known as being less interventionalist than others in the area, but she at times was also not willing to consider some options that we wanted to explore. Appointments with her were very short, though if I had questions, she was willing to chat a little more. She let me go to 42 weeks even though I was "geriatric," which, from what I hear from others in the area, is incredibly unusual. We had wanted to explore some labor inducing methods, like stripping the membranes, which we had done with our first child. However, she said she wouldn't do it since it doesn't work. Of course, this is where a doctor's experience comes into play, but it was disappointing since we had had this option with our previous doctor. Actual labor induction was an experience - as it often is - but she certainly stepped in when the timing was right. I felt like I was in good hands even when things got very tough.

Haven't had any kids, so I can't comment on that part of what he does, but his 6 month exams are as delightful as any can be when you're pants-less in a sterile chair trying not to throw your cookie out there on display.

He has delivered both of my children and has operated on my endometriosis. I have another operation with him next month and I'm completely confident that this will be successful. In addition to Dr Plancher, I have had the wonderful opportunity to meet his new associate Dr. G. I was with her yesterday and she spent 30 minutes with me going over my medical history, asking questions and explaining the surgical procedure that I will be having next month with both Dr. G and Dr. Plancher. She is a smart and caring doctor who truly wants the best outcome possible for her patients. She is extremely compassionate , and undeniably a highly educated doctor. Any patient would be lucky to be seen by either one of these doctors.

Maybe I've just been lucky with those that I've dealt with, but they're always friendly and patient. They're very accomodating, for example if you completely mix up appointment days, they squeeze you in when they can. All the doctors are great, but Dr. McNally is my favorite. She is unbelievably easy to talk to and has a fantastic sense of humor. She even made my husband feel comfortable. She answered all of our ridiculous questions, that I'm sure she's answered a thousand times before, but never made us feel that way. I felt like I had known her for years the way I felt so comfortable with her. Sadly though, I just saw a note in the office today that she is leaving the practice to go to North Shore (I think). But, if you can see her, she is absolutely amazing and you'll love her!

Park in the back of the building, and then they are the first door on the left when you go in. Let me start off by saying that I saw four other OBGYNs that were so-so before I found these doctors. I absolutely love them. I am extremely picky about my doctors. Dr. Dilena is with Dr. Robert Nadell and Dr. Salvatore Lopresti. Their practice is called 'Complete Womens Health Care.' They are a very popular OBGYN practice. I originally saw Dr. Nadell for a few years. Loved him. I was very happy with him. Very straight-forward doctor. On the laid back side. He has a good sense of humor. Very smart. He was highly recommended by my other doctors. Then around February 2011, he got sick. I do not know any details, but he was on a medical leave for a few months. I then started to see Dr. Dilena. LOVE HIM. I cannot say enough good things about this man. He is really caring and patient. I did not have an easy pregnancy. I was in their office almost every single week. He always did a sonogram for peace of mind. He was very careful with me and checked me very thoroughly. I had to go to the hospital about five time before I actually had the baby. He didn't want to take any chances and sent me there to be evaluated further. Dr. Dilena was great the times I called him in the middle of the night. I felt so embarrassed and nervous calling him, but he really didn't seem to mind. He is very sweet. Dr. Nadell did come back in the summer of 2011. He seems to be doing well. My cousin and another friend of mine are exclusively seeing him now. I stuck with Dr. Dilena since he saw me throughout my entire pregnancy. But they are both awesome! I always got fit in if I needed an appointment. I like their office staff. A few years back, I used to wait a long time in their waiting room. Something must have changed because I never wait anymore. Dr. Dilena delivered my baby in Winthrop. My son was a very large, long baby, and most doctors would have just went the easy route with a c-section. But Dr. Dilena stayed with me and helped me to deliver my baby naturally. I liked that a lot about him. I heard great things about Dr. Lopresti, but never dealt with him. I seriously know of 12 women I know who go to this practice. All of their babies were delivered by them. I have had conversations with random people and they talk about how much they love their OBGYN, and then I brag about mine. Then we ask each other who the OBGYN is, and it turns out to be Dr. Nadell or Dr. Dilena! It is hilarious. They deliver at Winthrop- which I was very happy with! I am pretty certain their hours are 8am- 8pm. They are not open on Saturdays or Sundays.

He knows I'm an Antepartum/Postpartum nurse and he still takes the time to explain things to me and he also takes the time to explain things to my husband who is not in the medical field in a way he could understand. When I thought I had a problem with the pregnancy, he fit me in even though they were busy. When my daughter was in the NICU, he came to check on her. That doesn't happen with the OBs at my hospital unless they are going to do a circumcision in the NICU. I was surprised and touched he would do that. When I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter, I would bring my 4/5 year old with me and they would have these cute conversations. Now my daughter always ask me if I'm going to see Dr. Matthew. Dr. Dilena is friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I always recommend him to others.
