while I do think its a little weird to yelp an OBGYN, this caught my attention and I have to give props to my boy Dr Plancher. His check ups literally take like 10 minutes, tops, and he remembers small details about you (like, I dig tattoos and the mets) to chat about while he's handling business so you're not uncomfortable. They're prompt, helpful, and clean. I found him by chance after my last doctor gave me the heebie jeebies and I literally tell any of my friends that might be looking for a doc to hit this dude up. Haven't had any kids, so I can't comment on that part of what he does, but his 6 month exams are as delightful as any can be when you're pants-less in a sterile chair trying not to throw your cookie out there on display. read more

I was very impressed with my visit to Dr. Planchers office. He made me feel like a valued patient and really listened to what was bothering me and made me feel like a person rather than just a number. Which is very hard to find in a Dr. these days. The most wonderful man on the planet!!! He's extremely sweet and understanding. I've been seeing him for 10 years. It's always nice to go somewhere that knows you and understands your needs as a patient. The whole visit is about a half hour. I love that you sign in and the minute you sit, they call you. Dr. Plancher has been my obgyn since 2013 when I got pregnant with my first daughter. He knew how scared I was just with pregnancy in general and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Lucky for me he was on call the night I went into labor. He stayed until 9 am to deliver my little girl when his shift was over at 7am. When a resident asked him why, his response was "I'm all she knows". Needless to say he was also there for my 2 nd little one in 2015. In 2017, he performed a diagnostic laparoscopic surgery because I had endometriosis. Not only is Dr. Plancher an amazing obstetrician, but a wonderful and caring surgeon as well. My mother in law, my aunt and my cousin all now go to him because of my praises. read more

Hands down the best doctor I have ever had. The entire staff there take the time to know you personally and so does the Dr. He truly cares about his patients... yes he is very busy but he always has time for you if you need him. He personally returns all calls no matter how silly or serious they are.. and even on his busiest days will make time to see you even if it's just to clear your mind of worry. I absolutely love him. He dealt with 2 of my pregnancies, the first one I lost at 12 weeks due to the baby have Acrania... he noticed something wrong and said I needed to be seen by a specialist immediately.. I didn't have the cab money to cover the ride so he personally reached into his own pockets and provided me with the money. When we found out we were losing the baby and had to schedule a DNC.. he made himself personally available that whole weekend before surgery in case I had any questions or just needed someone to talk to.. and he stood right by me the entire preparation(the iv, pre-op and walked with me to the room), talked me through everything and held my hand until I fell asleep. He was the first person I saw when I woke up. He took amazing care of me. Also.. when I got pregnant for my son he was absolutely delighted. He saw me constantly to rest my mind about going through the same thing and God knows I called him on a regular basis wondering what each bump and movement and cramp was. After my son was born my husband ended up losing his job.. we banked my sons chord blood.. we made the payments on it but Dr Plancher completely dismissed the payment that was suppose to be made to his office for banking it. Also on several occasions dismissed my copayments and even saw me when I didn't have insurance and didn't bill me. He's by far the most amazing doctor/man I have ever met and I highly recommend him to every person. I wish I could give this man the world but all I can afford is a simple Thank you... trust me though, he deserves so much more then that. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Plancher's for the past 6 years. Never, has a doctor made me feel so comfortable, and so important. There honestly needs to be more doctors like him. I'm honored that Dr. Plancher was the one who delivered or assisted with the delivery of all 3 of my children. He is a kind, gentle mannered person, that cares about his patients and their families. His calming, laid back personality should not be misjudged as someone who is not sympathetic. I can't understand any of the negative reviews he has received. This doctor takes the time to personally talk to you either on the phone or in person with little notice if any at all, to ease your fears and concerns. He makes time for you and values your time as well...wait time over the past 6yrs has never been longer than 5min. When I was pregnant with my son, his midwife delivered, but he was present for the birth at our request. When I was pregnant with my twins, I was made to feel like a priority patient when I had to see the high risk doctors, and how he arranged to ensure that I was able to breastfeed my twins asap once they were evaluated in the OR. He was available for me 24 hrs a day during and just after my pregnancy with the twins, literally an email away, whenever I had questions or concerns or even if he was just checking in on me. There are very few doctors who still do that today and he is one of those great doctors. His office staff must've learned from him how to treat others, they are all sweet, accommodating, patient and friendly. Nope. I had pain on the left side at the end of my period. He saw a "little cyst" and said it would go away, which is why I had pain. I asked if he was sure, and said "absolutely" with no further tests done. A month later Dr. Sherwin in his office whom my mother USED to go to, yelled at her on the phone when she was patiently waiting over 2 weeks (should have been 3 days, but he was "busy") for test results on a breast lump biopsy. The exact words Dr. Sherwin used were "Oh, so I GUESS you want me to tell you if you have CANCER or not, huh?!" Needless to say, once my mom had that experience we both left the practice as a whole. I went to someone new for my next yearly, and was told my "little cyst" was actually a big deal once I had more tests done (something Dr. Plancher saw no reason for). I needed a laparoscopy of my uterus and it was discovered I actually have endometriosis. I agree with the other review. MOVE ALONG and don't bother with this entire practice! read more

All I have to say ladies is if you want a doctor that is not sympathetic, kind and understanding to the postpartum sadness issues a women experiences after delivering a baby via C-section, then Doctor Plancher is the perfect non compassionate person for you. I always felt as a number, extremely rushed during office visit. Every concern or issue, I had was always brushed off as, that's normal. Nothing big. My experience with him has pushed me to look for a female obgyn. So sad. At least I would have a shot to find someone that could work with me and not against me, when the going gets tough. In addition, I never was told directly that I would be denied natural birth - when throughout the visits, I was assured natural birth would be an option, that I could choose. Instead, an easy way out mandatory C-section was pushed on me last minute and I was in so much pain, I just decided to do it. I was scared. Horrible experience. read more

Ill also spare the details but due to his neglegence I almost lost my daughter & my life due to him not diagnosing a severe blood clotting disorder & pre eclampsia. An absolutely fabulous OBGYN!!! I had a great experience with him for my first pregnancy, and now again with my second. I never have to wait more than 5-10 minutes, and it's usually less than that. He's very personable and actually remembers who I am. After having some complications towards the end of my first pregnancy, he was great at explaining everything and our options. In the hospital, he took time to actually speak with me and my husband to make sure that we made the right decision for our family. His office also does the 4D sonograms, which is a really nice touch. ALL testing is done at his office. Some friends of mine have to go to the hospital or Quest for certain tests, but not here. I get to go to his office for everything. It's great! He's a great doctor, and I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone! read more

My gyn for 8 years! I will NEVER EVER SEE ANYONE ELSE UNLESS FOR A SPECIALTY...which I have had to do...I have had several procedures with him and everyone has been pleasant. Even when I had a complicated scar pregnancy, Dr. Plancher sent me to the right high risk specialist and something that was rare and dangerous was taken care of safely. I find him to be open minded and letting me go with my own plan and make my own decisions....I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming in.....doesn't sound like him...If I have questions I email him, if I need to come in STAT, I call and I come in..if I know I have something that requires a quick script I call or email and it gets called into my pharmacy. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Plancher. I went to him for my first pregnancy and he was wonderful-he took the time to answer each and every question that I had no matter what it was-he is incredibly patient and kind and you never feel rushed with him. His office staff is terrific too and I love the fact that they always run on time...literally I was never seen more than 5 minutes past my scheduled appointments. From the moment I met him up until my son was born this past June-he was everything I could've asked for in an OB. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question-he would always have time and explain everything to me no matter how crazy busy his day must be. Unprofessional and unethical. After answering my question about whether it was necessary for my 18-year-old daughter to start having annual exams if she is not sexually active, he then proceeded to tell me about an adolescent patient of his who is very sexually active and how it's too bad his teenage son doesn't know her because of how badly he "wants to be sexually active". I could not believe he spoke about one of his other patients in that way at all, let alone to another patient. I transferred to his partner Dr. Sherwin after that, and although he was never unprofessional himself, he was always in a rush and literally had one foot out the door when I was still asking him questions after an exam. After visiting some other obgyn practices and being discouraged by their lack of compassion and personal attention I was recommended to see dr plancher by two different woman who have beautiful healthy children today. I had a MC last year so coming to the dr is a sensitive topic for me. Dr. Plancher knew the two ladies who recommend me which felt reassuring that he takes the time to know his patients. I knew I wasn't going to be just another number to him. He said even if he was backed up with appointments I could come in to see him at any time if I had any concerns at all. When I call the office for test results he answers the phone quickly and professionally. I'm happy to have chosen dr Plancher and I am blessed to have him as my dr. Especially after some of my nightmare experiences with some other so called top drs in the area. read more

Said yes yes yes to everything on my mostly natural birth plan, but when it came down to it, did every unneccessary procedure in the book..including threatening C Section. He did epidural, tore my perinium with his hands (the baby's head was not down yet!) fetal head monitor puncture even though the heart beat was loud and clear,episiotomy, and catheter to my totally normal and smooth going birth! He has been my doctor through 2 children and right now for the third. My deliveries have been amazing with him! My sister in law, cousin and friends all go to him now and had great experiences with delivery as well! You also never wait in the office and visits are super quick which I love! Terrible experience. Please don't let him fool you,he really doesn't care about you, your concerns or birth plans. Overlooks your general health and chalks everything up to......it's because your pregnant. Cocky,condescending and passive aggressive! Be careful he likes to just cut you and call it a day,he has very little time to waste on you and truly doesn't care about your wants and needs during labor or sceduled appointments. Don't dare ask question about YOU or YOUR baby because once again he doesnt really care, or have the time or patience to answer them. Every question you ask you get a sarcastic unconfortable answer and by the time you know it you will not be asking any questions and leaving his office upset and confused.  Just wants to get the job done! I will not go into details of all the bad experinces this dr. Put me through. However I do think it's important to put this review out there. Women should embrace their  pregnancy and labor not be in fear of their dr. Being pregnant should be exciting. Dr. Plancher will rob you of that. I was stressed and upset after every visit with him. I went by someone elses review on here and went to see him and the people are pretty nice and he ws ncei but he didnt listen to what I told him. He repeated the test I told him was negative, he told me he didnt haev teh results, when someone at his office already gave them to me and he said I guess I cannto help you. He blew me off. I am VERY disapointed in him and noone was in his office waiting, not a good sign I guess, since he says it is never busier than that. read more
