A Mat, not needed, put pressure on the Bride to just agree! The Bricks had a Monitor Woman cruising our Wedding all nite, included herself in our reception. Felt businesslike instead of OUR PARTY. Honestly, we picked up inside & outside, cigarette butts, papers, anything to prevent not getting our deposit back. It was as nice as when we arrived. The monitor helped pick up, so we did NOT Receive our $1500 deposit. Ms. Monitor made sure! Beautiful Venue, but signer beware! The $1500 was our Wedding gift to our Bride & Groom for their Honeymoon. Very very Disappointing. Nothing we could do.

So I have been to several of their events they host, either music and food outdoors in the summer…read moreand indoors in cooler weather. Yesterday I went to a music and fish fry indoors. The indoor food first: we got the fried cod and a couple of drinks. I wish I'd taken pictures but the place was crowded and loud so it was a little much to try to relax and hear the music much less have a conversation so when the food came, we ate! The cod was thickly battered but cooked nicely with plenty of tender fish inside so the batter didn't take over. Almost, but not. We got a generously sized baked potato and a little coleslaw. I avoided the coleslaw, but the potato was good and the hot food was delivered hot, which was a refreshing change from some places. Although crowded the service was good. It was a little slow getting our checks but everyone was leaving around the same time so that's understandable. My friend had a nice chat getting to know the waitress at the end. My friend is definitely a get to know you kinda person, but that's beside the point, except I'm sure the waitress will remember us next time we go so that's nice. The music. It was supposed to be an acoustic night but definitely was hard to hear over the conversations which were loud. He did do a few riffs on an electric guitar and I think some kind of keyboard, no doubt so we could hear something, but the room and crowd was not made to be able to hear much. In the better weather these events are louder outside and crowded with 3 food truck choices usually. I look forward to going to those again. I wish I could review the golf course but I've yet to play it. I look forward to trying 9 holes soon. It has three 9 hole courses, regulation length. love to try it out. When I first called Mary's Market and asked to speak with the person in charge of catering, Laurena took my call and we had the most pleasant conversation, really hit it off from the get-go. She was super attentive to all our needs and went the extra mile every step of the way to ensure we had the best menu for each breakfast and lunch she and her staff were creating for us. We were on a big production for a photoshoot and needed our crew to be well-fed and happy with each meal, which is no small feat. Laurena truly knocked it out of the park! We needed a bit of "hand-holding" and she was happy to chime in and help us along the way with any questions we had, and the food was AMAZING!! From what I recall, my favorites were, Market Strata (sausage), taco bar (order extra guacamole, it's incredible), stuffed mushrooms, seedy bagel sticks (make sure you toast them right before eating), and OMG the gourmet cookies!!! These might be the best cookies ever. They're impossible not to eat, no matter what diet you're trying to stay on. SO many great options and really, all the food was great.. and the service matched the greatness. We even had some days up in Whitewater, and they were so wonderful to accommodate us up there. They've got brand new vans that can hold all their carts and trays, and everything arrived warm and stayed warm for the shoots thanks to their chafing dish racks and sternos.
