The agent Brad Flory was very responsive and seemed to genuinely value our business. I highly recommend this agent and agency.

At the meeting we discussed some changes to my policies for house, auto, and personal liability. I agreed to some changes. Alex said the changes would take place on my renewal dates. That would be 21 OCT 24 for my house. It was supposed to be a small increase which she did not specify. In late September I saw the premium for the first time. It had increased from $1100 to over $2000. I called her up to complain and she said that she would set up a meeting in November to discuss reducing the premium I told her that would be too late as the policy premium was due on 21 OCT 24. She told me that SF would refund the difference.so she set up date to discuss it 2 weeks after the premium was due. I said nothing but after ending the call I searched for and found a new insurance provider. After determining Allstate offered what I needed at a significantly lower cost to me, I accepted their offer. I called Alex that day at the end of September to cancel our meeting. She demanded to know what their premium was and I refused to tell her and hung up when she wouldn't stop badgering about how they could get better rates. A few days later on 06 OCT 24 I received a new offer of $1400 but I had already accepted Allstate's offer. On Oct 18 I contacted my bank to stop the automatic debit to my account from SF. The bank said that was controlled by SF. I called Alex Rabb to tell her to rescind the debit. She told me I had to show proof of insurance before they would do that. I copied a page that showed my new policy and brought it to the office immediately as the debit would o. As I gave it to her she started chastising me. I turned back and told her that if she hadn't raised my rate by a over $1000, She might have retained my Business, I walked out but as I walked out the office door, she threatened to cancel my auto insurance. I turned back to the door and they locked it. I then stood outside of her window and said "Yelp, yelp, yelp" went home meaning I would post a bad review on YELP. I went home and received a phone call from a policeman Officer Moody telling me that he was contact by Rabb. I told him my side. I want to sue them for misrepresentation and harassment. I have documentation to prove my claims.

They honestly seem to be focused on the best interest of the customer, as all insurance agents would be in an ideal world. I never felt pushed to buy more coverage than I needed. On top of that, once I moved states, they helped me find someone who met their standards in New Orleans, which I greatly appreciated. The referral they gave me was to a group of similarly honest and concerned agents. Having sold insurance and quit because of how exploitative it can be, I cannot recommend Patrick's office highly enough. This might seem like hyperbole, but they restored my faith in insurance.

Granted I'm a light driver with a great track record, still State Farm offers me a rate that can't quite be beat with excellent service. Patrick and his staff have always been friendly, personable, and so very easy to talk to. They always seem to have time to answer my questions and I come up with a lot of them. Just recently they helped me get me set up with the Drive Safe and Save program and I'm loving that it saves me money and offers me bluetooth for taking phone calls in the car. And their location is convenient - right on the capitol square. Highly recommended!

DO - get a copy of your policy asap upon binding coverage - not online later - but a printed hard copy - you will need to ask them as they dont send you a copy of it w/o asking. To expensive I was told - "can you imagine the cost of that sir" no problem I get it im cool with trees n can roll with conservation. DO - get a copy and read all the fine print.. all 8 pages of little text and understand it. (Cmon not everyone reads every last paragraph on an encyclopedia of a policy) yes my fault n responsibility- I get it. But at no point was this and the other lengthy exemption clauses ever explained. DO - understand that if you have an accident and damage anything "you own" they wont pay to have it fixed - only the original insured vehicle. Unfortunately we had a not so rare incident (after speaking with other families) while backing out of our garage one vehicle brushed another one (not insured by geico) on our property. Due to actually OWNING BOTH VEHICLES Geico will not pay to fix both not even with a seperate deductible. Yes buyer beware and it was my responsibility to read every last tiny fine print paragraph but in 30+ years of driving and utilizing multiple insurance carriers for personal and biz lines over the years and s#%{ happens - never had a problem ever lije this even confirmed it with the body shop. Buyer beware Geico coverage is not "full robust coverage like they talk it up" if you damage anything legally owned by you including property, vehicles etc. - they will not pay the claim. Marine policy n car policy goonnnnnnnnee.. switched faster than the channel when a geico commercial comes on now. Just a heads up to others considering geico when comparing to other reputable carriers in the midwest. The stuffed animal maybe cutee but the coverage isn't! - Beware of multiple escape clauses in their auto policy coverages.

After the adjuster initially denied the claim, I was eventually able to get them to send an engineer out by completing a survey outlining my concerns. They denied the claim again, this time stating there was no hail damage at all. After pushing further, I was able to get a second engineer to inspect the property. That engineer acknowledged hail damage on the fascia and gutters, but claimed the marks on the roof were not hail-related, writing: "These are the result of aggressive evaluation by others, not hail." They then invoked the appraisal clause. After consulting with a public adjuster, it became clear that pursuing the appraisal process would likely cost more than it was worth financially. In effect, the process left me with little practical choice but to walk away. I do not recommend Rural Mutual for any services.
