There are always a ton of people here, and it's the kind of place where you'll probably run into five friends you didn't even know were going to be there. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a smoking section, and dogs are allowed. The whole place is pretty open, so it can definitely get a little hot when the weather is hot, but that's just part of the setup. The staff has always been friendly, quick, and attentive, even when the place is packed. Drinks are good and the bar is very well maintained and professionally run. They do have a food truck, but I can't really recommend it based on my experience. When I walked up to order, another customer stopped me and told me not to because they had already been waiting almost two hours for their food. Luckily, Kirby Ice House allows you to bring in outside food, so you can order a pizza, have someone bring food over, or grab something nearby instead. Parking can get a little tight during the bigger games, but most of the time it's manageable. They also check IDs at the entrance, so be prepared for that when you walk in. Overall, it's just a really fun, social place to watch a game, grab some drinks, bring your dog, and hang out with a big group. It gets crowded, but that's also part of what makes it fun.

There's no bad seat in the house. If you're coming here for any kind of championship sports event, come early and get your seat cause it gets packed. You also avoid waiting in line for ID check. We got there 2-3 hours early, ordered drinks and ordered food from the food trucks. The taco truck's street tacos were so good, but it was a 40-45 minute wait that day...and it was SO HOT out. You get a buzzer, so there's no point in waiting by the truck. Might be quicker on other regular days, though. The burger food truck was quicker, but I wasn't in the mood for it. There's a variety of seating for whatever you prefer - picnic table, iron table, bar table, and cushioned patio lounge chairs. The servers checked in often and brought the drinks out. There's a free water station with cups. Restrooms are down one end. Ironically, on the game day, the women's restroom line moved quicker than the men's! Lol. Great place to hang out and catch a game!

The next day seen that the unauthorized charge went from $71 to $91. had to drive all the way back to Headliners to speak with manager. I called back again to make sure there wasn't a minimum or anything, and they confirmed my reservation. When I showed up on game day, I walked into the full bar that clearly had no tables and went up to a man with a Decoy shirt on who said they don't do reservations. I told him I had just spoken to someone yesterday, and he "you have wrong information, there's no way we can do reservations with this many people - you probably called the corporate office (it's the number listed on their website so that made no sense)" and was very dismissive of me and not apologetic whatsoever. It's totally understandable that reservations wouldn't be possible on a World Cup day. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). Had to take my three nieces elsewhere at the last minute and don't imagine I'll be returning after that experience.

I've been an avid Netherlands' futbol supporter over the last 30+ years and never knew a place existed in Houston.. but was pleasantly surprised to have seen this packed house with a very lively atmosphere inside.. They got a DJ, people were singing and dancing along to Dutch songs, definitely felt like a proper watch party. Most of the crowd there tho, like myself, weren't actually Dutch, but everyone was just there for the vibes. That said, we ended up standing outside because it was probably over capacity. Took me a good 30 minutes just to order a bucket of Heinekens. From what I can tell, this place's giving more of a neighborhood dive bar. It was hot and crowded as one can get (probably over capacity if you ask me.. the parking was hard to find in the neighborhoods nearby and we had to walk a good 5-10min), and $35 for a bucket of 6 small Heinekens isn't really the best deal.. but can't blame them. I did enjoy seeing the Dutch orange bus as it was out on display right outside the bar. Great photo op Overall I'm glad to have come and experienced it, would like to check this place out again under normal circumstances to get a better feel for it.

I came here for a…read moregroup happy hour - had to drive through a few neighborhoods to get here and was surprised to find this place randomly situated on an industrial-like road. When I said no-frills, I meant it. The drink selection is quite slim and for someone who go out of their way for beer, there weren't really many other options. Our large party had a buffet of food - all of it was basic but tasty - panko-breaded chicken tenders, chips and queso, and quesadillas. Service was actually stellar throughout our time here. Bartenders and servers came around to our group frequently to ask if they could get us anything. I did not expect that from a divey bar like this. While I wasn't blown away by this place and probably don't have much reason to come back, I can see why folks would come out here for a drink or to watch a game, especially if living in the Spring Branch area.

They have plenty of tables inside and seating at the bar. The patio area has a nice covered area with some TVs, typically with a local sports game on. Typically at least a couple of families are around, either playing a game or just enjoying the patio with a cold pint. Food & Drink - 4.75* Great local craft beer selection! Definitely give the wall a close look as there's probably something you haven't tried unless you frequent the place already. For food, they have plenty to choose from. Starter and shareables such as chips & queso, pretzels, flautas, or spinach & artichoke dip. For mains you can grab a salad or a guilty pleasure like burgers, wings, and chicken sandwiches. I've had plenty of the items and have never been disappointed. I definitely recommend the onion rings if you go with a sandwich meal. That's not to say the tots or fries are bad, it's just their onion rings are really on point. On Thursday they do ribeye night, so give it a go if you're looking for something a bit more substantial. Service - 4* I've found generally speaking the service is pretty good when ordering at the bar. They can get a little busy at times and slow, but never egregious. Everyone is quite friendly when you ask questions and looking for some recommendations. Cost - 4.25* Always subjective, for me, I find their pricing pretty good for an above average pint and burger. If I were to knock it a little, I think some of the larger brewers "easy drinking" lighter beers could carry a slightly less cost, or maybe run more "specials" to sell at volume with thinner margin. Just a suggestion. Overall, I've never been turned off by any of the pricing. It's definitely refreshing to support local brewers and a local bar more than going to some of the more corporate establishments that sit nearby. Overall - 4.5* Whether you live nearby or need a good meetup location for family and friends around the city, this is a spot I'd recommend to anyone seeking a laid back family atmosphere.
