I've worked with HennaMe numerous times in the past for events, but until a recent party I hadn't been lucky enough to actually get some done on myself. And now... I'm addicted! I may not know a ton about henna, but I do know art and Kristina is an amazing artist. Her designs seem to integrate authentic design with a modern twist--which I love. She makes her own paste from scratch using only authentic, natural ingredients, including lemon juice, sugar and essential oils. I sat down and within mere minutes she'd created something gorgeous and phenomenal on my hand (see the pics) Coming from a very pale gal who tends to be OCD about her skin (no tattoos for me) I was worried this was going to be a shock for me--it lasts 1-3 weeks! But I've been obsessed--in a good way--since I got it. And now I want her to do my entire back! Furthermore, she gives you a card with all the info you need to know about caring for your new henna piece, including day-of care and long-lasting maintenance tips. Kristina was the henna artist at my friend's henna party last month. While her work is good, her attitude was terrible. In addition to myself, several others at the party noted her poor demeanor. She was hasty in her language and condescending at times. At a part full of Indian people, where we are celebrating happiness because of a couple who is about to get married, she was pretty poor in her interactions with others. In addition to being short and rude, she didn't like the questions we asked related to the henna or the application of it. I would certainly never work with her and I am certain that others wouldn't either as we discussed this together. The bride was aware of Kristina's poor behavior and agreed that she was chosen because there weren't other better choices in the area. I first found Kristina on my 30th birthday and wanted to give myself a little treat. I am currently in the next decade of my life and still see her yearly. I am crazy for all things henna and it doesn't get better than her. Kristina is a true artist and what comes out of her head onto your body is amazing. It also helps that she easy-going and enjoyable to talk with while she is working. Her website is clear and booking an appointment is a speedy process. I met Kristina about 7 or 8 years ago for a Nepalis bridal shower in Erie PA, it was so cool to watch as she quickly did so many different designs and all the places the girls at the shower got them done hands, feet, legs, arms, shoulders, necks and backs. I should mention we have never gotten henna done by anybody else since then. My sisters and I drive all the way to Cleveland OH from PA (2 plus hours) and it is so worth it! she is an amazing person and artist, any more we just tell her where we want the henna done and let her go. Four of us went last time and watched as she came up with four different designs 2 shoulders and 2 hand/arm all awesome! Looking at them we can't pick a favorite :) I would highly recommend if you have ever wanted to try henna for the first time or want to get it done by a TRUE PROFESSIONAL this is it!!!! During a recent trip I got to meet Kristina of Henna Me and have henna done by her. I had such a wonderful experience. I loved that she was so focused on the quality of the design which she just pulled up out of her imagination. She told me all about how she imports her henna from India and mixed it up fresh just for me. I loved watching her work and create as she went, all while having a wonderful chat. Kristina with Henna Me was amazing! She worked for my daughter's bat mitzvah party and did about 40 tattoos that were beautiful and elaborate. Each one was unique to the person. Kristina is excellent. I have been getting my henna exclusively from her for several years. Her 15 years of experience definitely shows in her work! Disappointed. My sister is getting married next Saturday and had booked Kristina to do bridal henna for her and her bridesmaids next Thursday. Upon my sister checking in with her yesterday, Kristina informed her she had a family emergency and was no longer available Thursday. This left us wondering, had my sister not checked in with her, would she have even notified her?! We are less than a week away and my sister is absolutely devastated and left with little to no options. My sister had to ASK Kristina to help her find another artist. Kristina didn't even offer to rectify the tough spot she put her in. Kristina's response was one sentence long saying "you could try this person" Well, guess what, that person is not available this last minute. I understand things happen and I hope everything turns out okay for Kristina, but please also have more sensitivity and professionalism when they do.
