Sent in signed contract and required 1/2 down deposit on 5/30/25. They gave us estimate of installation 4-5 weeks...still waiting and it's 8/16/25. Calls and emails don't get us any closer to installatio. Would not recommend. read more

We would not use them again. They were difficult to communicate with and unfriendly. They asked me to bring a check to their office and that would get us on the schedule sooner- 2-3 week wait. It was more than a month and they only moved forward with starting the work after I reached out to them multiple times. I called after they weren't responding to email and was told someone would need to call me back. I told the person on the phone I was concerned that they cashed my check and now they weren't responding, suddenly someone was available to talk. They were irritated and told me they were too busy to be answering emails or reaching out to customers to give updates. But the work did get scheduled after that. read more

We had them install a 30'x50' enclosure (chain link) for our small dogs several years ago. They were very responsive and the work was awesome. Highly recommend. read more

Highly recommended. We wanted a stick-built fence since our back yard is a little less than level and the prebuilt fence panels would have looked just awful. Clery did as professional a job as I've ever seen - came and set the posts one day and built the fence another day. They do amazing work and were still several hundred bucks less than what Lowe's wanted to come out and install fence panels. I couldn't be happier. read more

Clery put in my pool fence at a cost of over $6,000. They also put in two of my neighbors as well. Within two years the posts are popping out of the ground. They look like shit and the gates will not close. Then they charged $450 for less than an hours worth of work to fix them. The very next year the posts were popping out again. They hire flunkies that have no clue on how to properly install a fence and they do half ass work. Buyer beware read more

Neighbors BEWARE! They installed a fence in my neighbors yard and left huge mounds of dirt from digging posts in my yard. Tried contacting the company to come clean it up and plant grass seed and got no response. After a week I just shoveled what I could but there is obvious damage due to their neglect. Have the decency to clean up after your work and I wouldn't of had an issue. I will follow up with my city in regards to this companies poor business practices. read more

It has been a few years since we dealt with this company. A friend recently told us that they were thinking of getting a fence installed and wondered who did ours. It was that encounter that prompted me to write this review. While the fence they installed is ok(not great but ok), they managed to damage my sprinkler system in the process. They refused to take responsibility for this claiming it wasn't them. The damaged part was buried underground, so I'm not sure who else they think could have damaged it. Their business practices are on the edge of criminal. They charged my credit card, without permission I might add, for a balance that they were not owed. When confronted about it, they admitted the mistake in their bookkeeping. They then told me they would return the money but it would take several days. Their mistake emptied our account and when told that we would be without money until the money was returned they couldn't have cared less. read more

Clery Fence literally gave me my sanity back after dealing with an irrational neighbor. They erected a beautiful six foot privacy fence for me. They were the lowest quote (compared to Dewitt Fence and Spartan Fence) and also available the quickest (2 weeks time). I couldn't be happier with the workmanship, the level of communication (from both the office manager and the crew assigned to this particular project). They made sure to always call and ask specifics before taking action. The crew was respectful and easy to work with, left no mess, and even made sure not to trample any of my newly planted hydrangeas (which was a feat, believe me). If I could give negative stars, I would. Clery Fence lied to me from the first interaction I had with them. I was moving to a new home and needed a fence put up for my dog. I planned to move within a few weeks so time lines were the most Important to me. I chose clery because the company promised me that the job would be started within three weeks of signing the contract, with potential short weather delays. Other companies told me 6-8 weeks which is why I chose clery. Misty Allard, the office manager, lied to me several times, telling me the company would be starting my job "the end of next week," with no one ever showing up. I finally had to email to say I felt like I would never see them and considered taking action against the company. Misty again lied by saying she had emailed back, when she did not, and then called late the next week to see if I had my permit because they were ready to start. That was the first time I'd heard about having to pull my own permit, which I then attempted to do, only to find that the company didn't know the codes in my township and had written an estimate that the township would not approve. Then one of the owners argued with me by phone about the codes as if I was making it up. This caused further delays, only to discover that we had to do another different estimate in compliance with the codes as I had already explained. The job was not started for over three months and took four to complete. Once it was done, I found out their crew broke a service line in my yard and my yard was dug complete up by the utility company so they could repair it. I told clery about this and all the other problems, including delays and lies their office manager told on their behalf, and asked them to reduce the bill by any amount so I could repair the damage to my yard. I know they did not have to reduce it at all, because the broken line was technically not their fault, but thought perhaps they would acquiesce to help make thing right and avoid bad word of mouth. Instead, I got a threatening certified letter from them that said they were taking me to fort for nonpayment of contract. I did not even sign a second contract after the first estimate and plan were not approved by my township, so I am not even certain they could have collected even if they had sued me. Rather than ever have to deal with them again, I wrote them a check and asked them to send me a receipt by mail or email. I still have not received it. Please do not do business with this company as they will say anything to you and lie to get your business. Since they insist you pay 50% when the contract is signed, you will be stuck with them. These people are dishonest and care nothing for their customers. read more

No chance to see any of this companie's work, but only poor business practices in our instance. Representative came out to look at repairing our fence early in spring an said he'd have an estimate. My husband called after three weeks and was told it would be sent right out. It wasn't so he called twice more and was told it was "on top of the stack". At this point, we were comparing bids and/or deciding whether to do it ourselves, so I called and was finally told after over six weeks, their company "would respectfully decline" the work. In retrospect, we wish we wouldn't have wasted ANY time consulting with this company or chasing after them for a bid!! Poor business practices in our opinions. read more

Initially, we were happy with the fencing that Clery installed. However, the company has failed to fulfill the 5 year warranty on workmanship in the first year. We have called several times to have the gate repaired due to faulty construction. After 3 attempts to correct the problem, one still cannot open the gate without assistance. The company is not responding to phone calls or making any attempts to correct the gate to date. They keep saying they will call us back "later this afternoon", but this has not happened after numerous weekly calls. read more

Installers changed fence plans without consulting owner. After waiting on list for install and delays without communciation they proceeded half way through project to stop my install to accommodate a neighbors request for cash to use my wood and supplies to do a job for them. Wood was poor quality and after the owner came out to inspect and promised to make it right he took the money and ran, I have never received call backs to company. Very dishonest and disrespectful. Allowed workers to build off my fence without permission to fill neighbors request which now obstructs access to my property and has led to neighbor dispute. I never received a single phone call as I reminded them my cell phone is always on to approve of the changes and request to build for neighbor on my property what they wanted done. They should have treated the neighbor as any other quote and allowed them to wait on list and bid the job separately. I will never recommend this company to anyone. I don't know who they think they are but they clearly feel they can make decisions the homeowner should be making and the owner is not a man who keeps his "word as a man". There are many other great fence companies in the area, shop around and by all means avoid this company. They are no longer interested in residential projects, if you are MSU or a corporate account they will put you to the top of the list. read more
