my favorite local spot. if I could give this place 10 stars, I would. delicious and authentic Argentinian food, owned by the sweetest Argentinian couple. call 40+ min ahead for take out because the two of them run the whole place by themselves so give them ample time to make your dish

This place is AMAZING!! The portions are huge and everything is homemade and delicious. It feels very authentic and I was so surprised to find an Argentine restaurant in central Texas but this place can't be missed. I had the Milanese Clerico Bomb and it was the bomb. It was bigger than my head and I wish I could have eaten more. The service is also top notch. This family deserves your business and I know you will love the food. I will definitely come back and have already told friends and coworkers to come and eat here. Can't wait to go back and try something new.

My boyfriend had the bacon, egg, and cheese empanada and said it was tasty, though he wished there was a bit more bacon. IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO DELIGHTFULLY…read more Empanadas! Disclaimer: This is a blog I wrote last September. I still feel the same way! Argentine empanadas are famous all over the world, but if you have been to Argentina or have Argentine friends, they're impossible to miss! I was born and raised in Argentina and as a foodie, I don't go easy on my reviews--especially not on food that I love. Just a few months ago a friend of mine started a catering business, and empanadas are her specialty item. She offers ten different kinds of these savory pastry turnovers, so customers are treated to a varied and very flavorful experience. Last week, she brought a sampler platter to my office that included beef, chicken, and vegetarian options, and my colleagues and I got to taste some unique flavors. A traditional empanada's main ingredient is beef and my friend calls hers "Carne de las Pampas," or "Meat from the Plains"--coincidentally, my mom and dad greBeef empanadas.w up in La Pampa, a province known for its extensive ranches and superior-quality beef. These empanadas are filled with ground beef, onions, bell pepper, tomatoes, and a combination of spices. I really wanted to try them, but they were gone in the blink of an eye. My colleagues were licking their fingers and grinning. The "Tex-Mex" is already a favorite among Tango Delights' current clients since Austinites are used to Tex-Mex restaurants and spicy food. These empanadas are a twist of the traditional and come with jalapeños plus some secret "awesome!" spices. Spinach and Butternut Squash empanadas. My personal favorite ended up being the "Paisana," which is one of the vegetarian empanadas. The ingredients include spinach, onions, bell peppers, Parmesan cheese, more "awesome!" seasoning, and butternut squash. Just one bite had me smiling! The butternut squash in particular made this different from any other empanada I've tried, and it was marvelous. I'll definitely be ordering some of these for my next party! The other vegetarian empanada was the "Humita," and this one has corn mixed with a creamy white sauce, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and, once again, the secret-recipe seasoning. It was flavorful, rich and left me wanting more. Additional options include traditional chicken, Cajun chicken, cheese and onion, ham and cheese, hand-chopped flank steak, and a breakfast empanada with bacon. A side salad can be ordered as well and it will come with your dressing of choice. Tango Delights is looking to expand in the near future to a brick and mortar location, and I will definitely provide an update for when this happens. In the meantime, order some to enjoy with your family or bring them to your next potluck party--you're sure to be the sensation of the evening if you do!

My husband had eaten here before, but just tried the empanadas so we decided to come in and have lunch and try some of the other items on the menu. We both had one of the original beef empanadas, and he also ordered the chicken. They are served with a homemade chimichurri sauce, which is absolutely amazing! The empanadas are delicious, they are so fresh, so flavorful, definitely worth the drive. They do serve them individually for $6.50 each which I find a bit high, I wish they had a three pack or a six pack you could get at a bit of a reduced price because it feels crazy spending $13 on two empanadas with nothing else. We also ordered some of the sandwiches that they are known for and have won awards for. My husband went with the beef milanesa which is lightly breaded and served on their toasted bread, which again is the most amazing bread ever! I got the Lomito which is a slow cooked beef steak, simply served with chimichurri sauce on the toasted bread. I can't lie, I could see why it won an award. It was so good, tender, juicy, all of it! I got the half sandwich which came with fries and was $18. I wish I would've just spent a few extra dollars for the whole sandwich. The staff is really friendly and the restaurant is set up with some big green TVs by the bar as well as an outdoor dining area. Definitely massive flavor packed food you must try!

I came back and waited about a minutes before I was acknowledged, I was sat and the waitress was attentive. I wanted to try the arepita appetizer which is normally served with shredded beef/pork or chicken on the side- to get a side of plantains instead of meat, it was going to add 3$ to the 14$ appetizer so I just opted to omit the meat all together and still had to pay the $14 ...which I don't feel is appropriate- people always wanna add money to sub a veggie for meat but never reduce the price when just removing the meat all together. Anyways, Ordered my food which was out promptly, the veggie bowl was delicious as always and the arepita appetizer (no meat) was good- reminded me of a fried potatoe cake, I used the arepitas as a vessel for my veggie bowl ! I brought the remainder of my bowl home where I bit into something very hard , once pulling it out of my mouth I discovered some beef snuck it's way into my dish- disappointing forsure but it is the first time out of about 10 times this has happened here. Prices have gone up over the last few years my veggie bowl was 18$.

Grandsons were out of the country for Christmas and we wanted to give them their gift and take them to lunch. I gave them several options based on yelp recommendations and they decided they wanted to try Venezuelan food. Great choice boys!!! This property is smallish but quaint with adequate seating for lucky diners who have experienced the food and have come back or for first timers like our party. Wilson who took care of us provided exceptional service, and made excellent suggestion as to what we should try. All of us had had empanadas before, but that was the extent of our knowledge of their delicious menu. We did indeed get the Empanada Sampler which had four different mini empanadas. Combo of fried corn dough stuffed with ground beef, shredded beef, chicken, and cheese with cilantro, and garlic aioli. We cut them up so that everybody could experience them. Best ever! Cooked perfectly, golden brown, and delicious! We also tried a beef & cheese stuffed Arepa. It was huge and also stellar! Based on Wilson's advice two of us tried the Pabello Criolla :Shredded beef accompanied with rice, black beans, fried sweet plantains, avocado, fried cheese and a fried egg on top. It was so tasty!!! My grandson that's a pasta lover tried the Fosforera Linguini -Seafood linguini Venezuelan style. He enjoyed it. The serving size is more than adequate so we all took part of our meal home to enjoy for dinner that night. The one diner that was not open to trying non-familiar food really enjoyed his Bacon Cheeseburger with all the toppings and properly salted home-made fries. He rarely if ever compliments food but said it was the best burger he's had in quite some time and he really liked the fries too so there is SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE at FOGONERO. I also have to add that every one of our dishes was seasoned to perfection and I'm sure that added to our enjoyment of them. I would highly recommend that you travel to Cedar Park (from near and far) and give this delightful restaurant a try!!

They offered a special of eggs Benedict with shaved prime rib and horseradish cream sauce. The poached eggs were well cooked and the prime rib/horseradish sauce were very good! Would have been so much better with home style potatoes or a side salad. I prefer a restaurant doesn't add something to the plate just to make it seem more worth the price. Service was good; efficient without being intrusive. Water was refilled often. My friend and I sat longer than the restaurant might have liked, but they didn't make us feel uncomfortable. That was very good customer service. Overall- it's a good restaurant. I might go back for brunch, but based on my experience today, I would not pay the dinner prices.
