There are hundreds of headstones on this property. This is still an active cemetery with quite a number of recent interments with space for more. Directly next-door to this cemetery is the Independent Order of Oddfellows cemetery. Many of the gravesites are still visited by surviving family members and there are lots of flags for the veterans. Almost all of these gravesites are surrounded by concrete borders denoting family plots. This cemetery was started around 1938 which explains the absence of any earlier headstones. I was surprised that I did not spot any Texas historical sign on the property. It is definitely the resting place of many former residents of the city of Burnet.

There are literally thousands of headstones neatly arranged on the gently sloping hill. There is a gated entrance to the property which is open to the public and there is a single paved road that takes you through it. This is still an active cemetery with plenty of space for more interments. Most of the headstones are from the 20th century and many are recent. I did see a couple of infant graves from the late 1800s. One thing I was not able to find was a registry or a scan code that would let you know who is buried where. It is well maintained and many of the graves are still visited and adorned by their loved ones. Many of these graves are divided into family plots and surrounded by concrete borders. Many of the past residents of Marble Falls have made this space their forever home.
