My only experience with oral surgery was my wisdom teeth removal 20 years ago and the recovery was SO BAD that I was fearful for my daughter. I was BEYOND impressed with the entire office. The front desk ladies are so helpful and friendly! The nurse who helped us was also amazing and helped put my daughter at ease. And of course, I can't sing enough praises for Dr. Q. My daughter felt almost no pain post surgery! Her recovery was seamless and I know it's because of the amazing work done by the doctor! I will absolutely be back when it comes time for my kids to get their wisdom teeth removed. I will be recommending this office to everyone! Also I believe they contracted the anesthesiologist... but I want him to be recognized for his kindness and patience! My dentist was concerned about it, so she referred me to Dr. Mahdi Matin and his team at West Coast Oral Surgery. They discovered that not only did I have two bumps that were papillomas (which gave me a bit of concern as the first thing that popped into my head was HPV... which they quickly reassured me it wasn't), but they also wanted to remove them for a biopsy to make sure they weren't cancerous or anything like that. I went in last week to get the papillomas removed, and just yesterday got the official word... BENIGN! (Actually, I had known since this past Friday, as my dentist had also gotten the pathology results and were the first to tell me, but I still wanted to hear it from Dr. Matin.) What impressed me about West Coast Oral Surgery is that not only was the procedure quick and relatively painless once the anesthesia kicked in, but how professional the staff was in describing what the procedure would entail, treatment, and payment plans. While they don't take Tricare/Triwest (for those of you who have it), they do take CareCredit as a payment. Also, when the dental assistant asked what I wanted to listen to while they did my procedure, I said 80's tunes... but somehow the Pandora station started playing Motown and 70's music. No biggie, plus the assistant said she liked my musical taste! Definitely recommend Dr. Matin and the folks at West Coast Oral Surgery!

The office seemed clean and comfortable. Dr. Matin was very nice and informative, and helped me feel calm through the whole process (though some of the staff seemed a bit short with me during the initial consultation). I'm glad he pointed out that I needed a sinus cover once my tooth was gone, as my tooth was located so far up it was connected to the sinus. On the day of the surgery, the process went smoothly and efficiently, and the staff helped calm my nerves. Although I had somewhat of a lengthy recovery at first, everything has healed nicely now without any complications. The price for the procedure also seemed reasonable (after insurance). I would definitely recommend West Coast Oral Surgery!

Today I went in for a broken crown that was covering an implant I had done 10 years ago. Unfortunately the crown broke and he was able to offer me a great consultation and referral to the best Implant Dentist in the county to have the post removed so he can make a new crown with his great in house technology. By doing this it saves extra cost and time having an outside service do the crown that can often take many weeks. I would recommend Dr Joe Nguyen to anyone looking for professional honest Dentist!! I've lived out of the area before (Santa Barbara, Alaska...and my parents lived in Atlanta for several years, too...) and we've always made the pilgrimage back to Dr. Hopper's for our cleanings and dental needs. In fact, my grandparents used to come visit from Massachusetts in the summers and they'd always get a dental cleaning while here...and they even had some bigger dental work done with Dr. Hopper, too, while visiting. Dr. Hopper is the only dentist I've ever been to, so I can't make a judgment based on comparison, however, when you experience quality, expert care...it needs no comparison. He has remained cutting edge with respect to his knowledge, while retaining a solid foundation in sound dental practice. Dr. Hopper's staff do go to professional development training and are all pleasant and professional, while also being personable. I must say that I have referred several people over the years and all have been quite pleased. One of my teeth started hurting recently and I needed help. Dr. Hopper was out of town on vacation and I was a bit nervous to be treated by someone new. It was a non issue... Dr. Hopper chose well. Dr. Britton is great. He has the same care and appreciation for his patients that drew me to Dr. Hopper's office. I had to have a root canal (bummer), but they were professional, careful and gentle. They kept me informed through the process and I appreciated understanding what was happening at each step and why. We worked out a plan, it didn't hurt at all, and I'm thankfully all done.
