Grimsby Central Library

Grimsby Central Library

(3 reviews)

Grimsby Central Library in the centre of Grimsby is huge and stands out to anyone looking for…read moresomething to read or to get information on anything, it also has internet connection for the public, a cafe , and as libraries go its usually quiet and busy at the same time.

Not as good as it used to be the cafe and loos have gone no drink machine now. Some staff are…read morefriendly and helpful but others can be rude and quite abrupt I had letter stating that i took some books out of the library and that i didnt bring them back i certainly did bring books back i put them on top of the staff shelves near the till and i was told that they the staff will put the books back on my behalf. I then got a letter stating that i will have to pay a fine for the missing books. I went in to say that these books was took back to the library and that the staff then had put the books back they was 3 staff saw me with those books and they took them off me that day. Ive not been back to the library since i dont like going in there. The last time i went in the loos was shut and i saw kids as young as 13 14 play fighting and throwing loo roll every where all over the stairs and near to the automatic door. I asked if there was loos nearby as i no longer live in Grimsby rarely go there and was told no you have to go to the freshney place for to use the public toilets. The woman staff shouted something at me when i went on to use the computer she told me about my phone was on to loud and to turn it down in front of her. I thought it was kind of rude to speak to me in that way.
