They are open on lunch times and evenings but not on Sundays. If you take your own fish, they will also fry it in batter for you. I live away and every time I come home this is the first place I visit for food. If you are in the area then definitely try it because the fish is fresh, the chips are fresh every 5 minutes because its so busy and the girls behind the counter are always cheerful :)

It has a nice selection of childrens books, in good condition and easy to select. Unlike some of the larger libraries, the area feels cared for and is very family friendly. Obviously not as much choice for adults as at Central library, but the books appear to be rotated regularly enough to keep up with the most voracious readers.
