Xfinity stolen phone #…read more Our community provides tv service through Xfinity. We have that service and added internet & our family's mobile plan - 4 phones. On August 3, 2025 at approximately 5 am we were hacked. Our modem was taken over so we had no access to internet. All of our cellphones were deactivated. So we had no ability to contact anyone as we gave up our landline some time ago. The hacker added two names to our account and changed the managing phone and email to a number and email that are not ours. We had to leave our house and find another location with a phone and internet access so that we could call Xfinity. We waited for about 30 minutes before an agent picked up our call. He was able to see that our WiFi modem name and password had been changed and 3 phones had been deactivated. The agent restored service to the modem and the 3 phones, then researched my phone number. It was no longer in our account at all. It had been transferred to another Xfinity customer, MT, on a Samsung phone but a different model than mine. I have had my phone number for more than 20 years and I want it back. We were told that it was possible to pull the number back by shutting off service to that other account but a Fraud investigation had to happen first. It was opened and we were told we would hear from Xfinity Fraud department in the next 24 hours. We have a case number that has been open since 8/3/2025 at 6:30pm. The Fraud Dept has never contacted us once. We've called multiple times & they tell us the same story. My phone number is a second verification for many of our accounts. While waiting for Xfinity to get my number back, the hacker changed access our bank account, moved our savings to our checking account and attempted to wire transfer our money out. Being at the bank first thing, I stopped that. Xfinity has left us exposed, when they could have fixed it the day the hack occurred. Xfinity Mobile Fraud Dept, if you exist & are seeing this, contact me.

please don't waste your time or money!! this company is awful!! a literal nightmare! i am of the…read morevery strong opinion that all of the positive reviews are written by the friends, family and employees of the company! a month or so after getting their service we began experiencing short outages that have now escalated to near constant outages! not a single day goes by without some type of an outage...wire 3 lies to their customers to make it seem as if the service being spotty isn't a common occurrence...newsflash....it is! after 4 days of having only an hour or two of internet the entire day but wire 3 denying any outages, i decided to offer the question up to my ring cam community and asked my neighbors if any of them were experiencing any wire 3 outages and, not shockingly, a large majority were having severe outage issues and had been for days! however, whenever i would call in to wire 3, they would deny it. every time i would call wire 3 i was given some excuse and told they would be right out, only for them to no show because of this pattern i would be forced to call back multiple times per day on a daily basis. and yes, i tried to speak to a manager but was advised that; "wire 3 only has a single supervisor on for the entire weekend" and let me tell you from experience, she is quite a gem to have to deal with! she refused, for over 30 minutes, to take my phone call by claiming that she was in a "meeting" but by this time, i was so enraged that i just kept telling the customer service representative that i will be happy to continue to hold for a supervisor which left her no choice but to have to take my call. therefore, reluctantly, the supervisor finally gets on the call with me and by then i was growing really irritated and so i just tried to blurt out this explanation of everything that had been happening and what we had been through, to which she cuts me off mid-sentence and starts asking me about which phone number i was dialing to reach wire 3? when i provided her with the phone number i had been dialing, she tried to tell me that; "it wasn't the correct number to reach wire 3." even though it was the number listed as theirs on their google page and it was the very number i had called when i reached her! she had no answer or explanation for this. she then proceeded to weaponize access to our account, (because the account is in my husband's name), refused to transfer the call to a manager above her, (i later found out that this was because there is no manager above her), she then falsely accused me of "live-streaming" our phone call, (i am still unsure why she did this), and after being on the phone with me for over five minutes she tried to claim that; "she can only take a phone call from the account holder on file," to which i then advise her that my husband was standing right there and he would be happy to give her permission to speak with me, to which she falsely replies that; "he would have to call in because; she can only accept a call from the actual phone number on record." (which i know is a complete lie because.... uh....hello...people change their phone numbers for various reasons everyday but okay go off girl!) i then proceed to call her out for her grandiose lie to which she starts, (because none of her other games worked), giving the impression that, get this, she was a "victim! " yep, she thinks that she is the victim in all this because i was so irritated and upset while on the phone with her! not the customer who has been paying for a service that they are not receiving, not the customer who has no internet so they can't work, watch television, or play games! nope! she is the "victim," her!!! throughout the entire conversation she would consistently speak over me, then claim that i was speaking over her! she then tried to gaslight me a few more times before eventually trying to twist everything around to make it seem as if it was all my fault and not wire 3's? when she eventually realized that i wasn't falling for her excuses and antics she then hung up on me. ahhh.... such class! as it turns out, wire 3 is actually owned by oak hill capital... meaning investors. and i am not about to just let this go..... class action lawsuit anyone? update#1- i am almost sure that this supervisor deactivated our internet service entirely as prior to speaking to her it was spotty and since speaking to her it has not worked at all!
