*Great Furniture, Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Experience*…read more My experience with Bob's Discount Furniture was beyond frustrating. When you're spending your hard-earned money on furniture, you expect a company to be upfront and honest about when you can expect to receive it. Apparently, that's asking too much. The biggest issue was the delivery scheduling. Their website advertised delivery dates that didn't match what I was being told by their employees. How can you advertise one thing online and then tell customers something completely different after they've placed an order? To make matters worse, trying to get the situation resolved was another headache. Instead of making things right, the entire experience felt like one inconvenience after another. I understand that delivery schedules can change. What I don't understand is the lack of clear communication and the misleading expectations. Customers shouldn't have to chase down answers or waste their time trying to figure out when their furniture will actually arrive. *Bob's needs to understand that customer service doesn't end once they have your money.* A good price means very little when the buying experience is this frustrating. I would seriously think twice before purchasing from Bob's again. The furniture might be discounted, but apparently, so is the customer service.

The…read moredowntown Troy location seems like such a great fit for the vibes of this small business specializing in the metaphysical and unique curiosities. There is a lot to look at in this space, with a nice collection of original artworks as well as items on display (and available for purchase!) from variety of Horror Movies and other productions. There are items for sale from multiple local artists/vendors you may be familiar with (Deanna Campagnola & Opal Hexen, I'm looking at you!) as well as ritual supplies, tarot decks, and crystals. Self proclaimed as "supplying tools to assist you in being your authentic self" and encouraging their community to "Let the weird in," I highly recommend you visit Nerdy by Nature during your next Troy adventure. This is a safe space for all humans and a great spot for gifts and oddities for yourself and your loved ones. I love that Nerdy by Nature also has their own collection of vegan hand & body soaps available in the shop; I left with a beautiful bar featuring sage, lavender & lemongrass that smells divine.

The staff at the store was very helpful helping me putting the furniture in my SIL's truck. I have also purchased several lamps that I like very much. Artcentric is fun to browse; it's chock-full of vintage furniture, decor and accessories that have been bought at estate sales, etc and lovingly restored by Debra, the store's enthusiastic owner. I never expect to find anything in these sorts of businesses, since vintage isn't my style. However, in a few months my boyfriend and I are moving into an apartment and we've been on the hunt for beautiful, practical furniture. As it happened, she'd recently purchased a solid mahogany dining table big enough for six, with additional leaves, and had priced it for a STEAL. We were very interested in the piece, and Debra was incredibly forthcoming about its condition and her passion for her work. She explained that she loves finding the next gem so prices her stock to move. She answered all our questions, then gave us time to ponder. In the end, we decided to purchase the table, and she happily offered to hold it for us until we were able to transport it home. I would highly recommend Artcentric.

I'm so glad we caught this behind the booths on River St during the Farmer's Market. I really wanted to walk out with like 4 of their pieces but exercised some self- restraint and only purchased one. All of the pieces in the store have been hand picked and reclaimed or custom built by Sarah and her husband and she noted that all the cushions they sell were made by her mom- and they are super cute! The decor in the store itself is very appealing and all of the pieces are uniquely updated. We inquired about shipping and they're not doing that at this time but it would be a huge bonus if they did. Their prices for small decorative pieces are pretty reasonable. I can't really comment on the larger pieces since that wasn't my focus. According to their website they even won FleaMarket Flip on HGTV and it's not hard to see why! Congratulations!
