Spent the afternoon with such a great crew, exploring the beautiful ocean! It was our first visit to key west and 100% be back to go on another voyage! We kayaked through mangroves, saw sea turtles, nurse sharks, tarpon, and horseshoe crabs! Then went snorkeling, I am new at it but the crew put me at ease and I had such an amazing time! We got swindled! Do NOT recommend! Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this company for sure. Of all the companies we could have booked with, we had the misfortune of booking with this one. We left their boat feeling cheated and scammed. We made it as far as the parking lot before my husband decided to turn around and walk back to talk to the captain and first mate about our dissatisfaction, but they were both nowhere to be found. Unfortunately strong winds made for unfavorable conditions the day of our snorkel/sandbar excursion. Rather than cancelling this excursion and refunding all passengers the full amount of this booking, this company chose to pack us in like cattle and take a full boat of people out knowing that the experience that they would be providing would be extremely limited at best. The snorkel part of the excursion was skipped entirely due to poor visibility (for which only a 25% refund was issued) and the sandbar/kayak portion of the excursion was a bust too (for which no refund was issued). The strong winds and choppy waters made it too hard to paddle around and the kayaks and paddle boards went largely unused as result. The excursion should have been cancelled due to the above mentioned conditions, but this company chose to put making money ahead of their passenger's comfort and experience satisfaction. They charged an above par price for a well below par service. They over promised and under delivered. We were bamboozled. The experience given was not the experience advertised. The crew assured us that we would have calm waters at the sandbar and when that wasn't the case, they chose to ignore the fact that a majority of their passengers were frustrated and unhappy. Everyone on board was bundled together with their parties trying to stay warm. We were all cold. Kids were crying. It was bad. The crew made no effort to acknowledge or take ownership of the situation and aside from reimbursing 25% for not going snorkeling , no service recovery steps were taken. Only reimbursing 25% of the cost of the excursion when 50% of the excursion didn't happen isn't appropriate compensation. They charged everyone onboard for a service that wasn't provided after we were no longer within the cancellation window so we had no option to cancel on our own. At the point that a passenger says to the crew, hey you really should have cancelled this and they reply that they know, seems like they should have reimbursed everyone the full amount. To keep everyone's money shows greed and that they don't care about their guest's experience. We thought we had booked a family friendly snorkeling tour. Had we known this was just going to be an overpriced booze cruise to nowhere (with cheap "rum punch" and off brand cola), we never would have booked it. Won't make that mistake again and hopefully our review will save others the trouble. Terrible customer service. Deceptive advertising. Do not be fooled! Do NOT recommend! read more

i have done this snorkeling excursion 4x! the rum punch is dangerously good. the crew provides snorkel gear, water, soda and beers. the crew provides paddle boards and a blue mat that you can pay out on at the sandbar. highly recommend read more

had an amazing time! i truly recommend it! i had such a great time with my boyfriend here, we went snorkeling and saw fishes, a turtle and a stingray! then they took us to a sand bar and provided us with paddle boards and kayak activities and even gave us complimentary drinks! everyone was so nice, would def to back soon! read more

Our credit card was charged. On the morning of the excursion I went to check their website to see what we needed to bring and what time we had to be at the dock. Website showed that they had canceled our reservation. I received no phone call or email notification that the trip had been canceled, so I called them. Their story was 'we receive reservations from lots of different outlets, and a 'glitch' resulted in us being overbooked. Sorry we don't have room for you.' We were a party of three, so it isn't hard to figure out what happened here. If they honored our reservation there likely would've been an empty seat on the boat. Doing the honorable thing by taking a group that booked directly with them clearly takes a back seat to the cash grab of filling the boat with third party vendor reservations at Clearly Unique. Would rate zero stars if that was possible. Booked through their website and it sent a confirmation for the 1pm tour, asked to arrive at 12:30pm at the end of dock D in key west. Parking was unavailable but battled through it for 20 mins finally finding a spot then sprinted to dock D. No signage, absolutely no marking for their charter, spent 20 more mins frantically running around asking and finally found a group of 20 people also signed up for the tour. It was 1:10 by then. No one from the company was there, no catamaran, no signage, no correspondence, no notification on website or voicemail. Some had booked through Expedia, some another website that asked them to arrive at 2pm, so most waited till after 2, in scorching heat, nothing changed. Clearly uniquely abysmal! read more

We had a great time with this crew. They were so friendly and really enjoyed there jobs! The clear bottom kayaks were great! We saw 2 sea turtles and a baby shark! First of al, the kayaks are not 'clear' anymore.. They are super outdated.. Our kayak didn't have back rest.. It seems it was broken and never fixed.. So we got back pain while kayaking.. Snorkeling was pretty decent experience.. The plus is it is a guided tour with small group (six).. read more

Captain Eddie was great, entertaining and obviously caring about the environment. The front office seemed to be somewhat disorganized, though. I was told I'd get a text with instructions on where to meet. It never came, despite having left a follow up message. I had to call again 30 minutes before departure. In addition, Eddie hadn't been told he had a tour, even though there were ultimately 6 people signed up. It was fun kayaking through the mangrove islands, but snorkeling was average. There were very few fish - it wasn't like snorkeling a coral reef. It was mostly sea sponges, sea grass and some isolated coral. We did see a bull shark while kayaking, which was cool. We also saw a few sea slugs, which were pretty interesting. One released a jet of red ink when Eddie handled it. read more

Well worth it, a nice easy but very fun and entertaining trip kayaking and snorkeling. Much better than the gigantic charters that go out with Fury, they have WAY too many people. I was a little worried at first, we couldn't find the dock and no one on the pier had heard of Clearly Unique...but once I spoke with the captain the morning of our trip he led me right to the boat. This was a perfect excursion for us. Only 6 people in the boat. We kayaked around and through a secluded island. Our captain (I wish I remembered his name) was all about the water! He took us snorkeling..I completely wussed out, only my own fault! My husband and all the others loved it! Capt. was very knowledgeable and friendly. This is not your typical Commercial tour. No frills, only straight up nature and scenery which I enjoy. We saw the other boats pull up to the kayaking spot as we were leaving there. It was packed...20-30 people. I preferred our more hands on experience. Only thing, I would not recommend for kids. read more

I had a great time kayaking and snorkling! We saw jellyfish, crabs, lobster and stingrays. I expected to see more but it was a nice trip.

We had a great time on our adventure with Matt and Angie this morning. We spotted dolphins on our way out of the harbor. We saw three sharks within five feet of us while kayaking and had a lot of laughs in the mangrove tunnels. Our group also saw rays, sea birds, lobsters, and lots of fish. After kayaking, we snorkeled over a shipwreck before returning to port. Captain Matt and Angie were very knowledgable about the area and animal life on the island. They were personable and had a great sense of humor which we appreciated. This adventure was the highlight of our week and we will definitely be doing it again in the future. Captain Eddie was a terrific guide and showed us around the mangroves, where we saw lots of birds. He's very knowledgable and caught a snake and horseshoe crab for us to see. On the way out we were lucky enough to spot a dolphin playing around. Eddie's kayaks were clear and his attitude positive. It was my first time snorkeling and he made me feel at ease. My wife and I had a great time and I would highly recommend you take a trip with Eddie. read more

wished the owner/tour guide would not have indulged in such poor conversation with other folks on the boat throughout the trip. the trip became a pissing match between the guests and the owner after one of the guests brought up family, and it became clear that the owner has some kind of daddy issues. also, kind of annoying was being told about how much they live on tip when we pulled back into to the harbor; especially after I had to listen for three hours how much money and property this guy owns. clearly unique? Your kayaks are anything but clear! Why don't you spend some of your highly talked about income on what you advertise. The kayaks are so patched up and scratched you cant see through them.
