In general I don't like the way they operate. You receive notification that "after extensive negotiations a settlement amount is being offered.". That usually translates for you to expect them to tell you you have to put x amount of dollars into your account. In my case, they resolved to pay off the amount owed, that they negotiated down after months of you not making payments to some creditor, your credit score damaged and them fudging the numbers to reflect how much they saved you, which isn't much because they took so much in fees. That could have been better articulated but it sums it up pretty well. Also in my case, a second debt was quickly resolved. "Oh my! Look how good your doing!!! They basically proclaim. But now things are beginning to gel and in my case, most people would be heading for serious trouble. Most people would have a lot to worry about. They're going for your throat now, but more specifically trying to get you into having to file for bankruptcy WHICH they just so happen to have the connections to"help" you with. More like help their selves take everything you own, as well as get you into debt with them by, for example, taking out a loan, essentially from them or a partner. In my opinion, these people are filthy. I monitor everything closely. Fortunately, I only signed up to have four debts settled. I answered a summons from the court personally from a creditor who was suing me. Good thing I did too. It was at that time I learned I had been assigned an attorney to represent me. Why they assigned an out of state tax attorney is unfolding now. Whatever you do, DON'T let them persuade you to add another credit card or loan to your account should you take on the daunting task in the first place of debt settlement. Chances are you WILL - be - sorry. I have one outstanding account to be negotiated. I learned a lot about how they negotiate by having answered the summons that I was being sued. ClearOne settles by getting the debt repaid QUICKLY. NOT to your advantage or as is the case in my own experience. Believe me. Most people will find their way in a tremendous amount of trouble in a situation similar to mine. After they let you see how well you're doing so-far, they will encourage you to add more accounts to be negotiated. DO NOT DO THAT. YOU WILL BE SORRY. I am feeling very smart and wise right now but still I am not going to get too comfortable here basking in glory or something. Those people out of the blue wanted me to put $6,000 into my account, pay just $350 or so for x amount of months OR, take out a loan through one of their partners (who also specialize I Bankruptcy, among other things.) You don't want this! Again, I have one outstanding debt to be negotiated. That account has been written off as a bad debt, but it still has to be paid long story short. The $6,000 fiasco is under control but only because I got it under control personally by having answered that summons. It got them scrambling and still they're Legal Club is trailing behind having sent me notification it would be a good idea to put money in the account. It's taken care of now. $180 a month for x months then $200 for x months then $180 until July 2027. Still with their fees, it came out to pretty much what I owed the creditor in the first place except ClearOne and Global Holdings received what the creditor didn't get. As for that last account to be negotiated, the one that was written off as a bad debt (but still has to be paid). I still have to pay Global Holdings LLC through or in tandem with ClearOne Advantage until the end of 2029. This was not dumb luck that I am in the position now I am in rather than the one they were aiming for. If you must seek financial assistance, try an organization sponsored by local organizations designed to help you locally. If you must however, stay on top of these people. Take nothing for granted as they are out for their interests, not yours. That's my opinion based on my personal experience. Two stars because I feel generous right now and the company isn't completely void of good employees. I do not recommend signing up for a Debt Settlement but if you insist, I am not certain other companies will be much different. Would I do this again? Though it's been an adventure and learning experience in the world of personal debt management, if you read through this you know my answer is not a positive one. What could improve though you might wonder. Transparency from their people who call you to let you know a settlement has been reached requiring your authorization. You need to find out what the terms are. They won't tell you, I am pretty sure. I easily recall a lot of beating around the bush regarding many things. I enrolled 6 creditors with ClearOne Advantage in March 2024. For at least 4 of them, they only made 3 payments to my creditors. Then they stopped paying my creditors and started keeping the majority of my payment for themselves. I currently pay $500/month and they keep $335 for fees. They are only paying two creditors instead of all six. One creditor filed suit against me and won despite me calling ClearOne to ask that they restart sending payments and call the lawyers to create an update settlement if necessary. The creditor won the suit and now is requesting a wage garnishment from me. I was told by two ClearOne Advantage employees that the couldn't help me unless I paid them an additional $3600. They have already taken $3000 in fees related to this settlement and only paid about $750 to the creditor. From what I've been reading on Reddit, their MO is to make a couple of payments, then they the stop making payments and keep the money for their fees. Many people have had the same experience. I will be pursuing legal action this week, if they do not release the creditor from the program so that I can work with them directly. If the creditor is taking money from my paycheck, I'm not paying ClearOne Advantage for doing absolutely nothing. Ok if you are looking for a debt consolidation company please do your researc. I started with clear one in December until recently when I had to cancel do to lose of wages and they started deducing the funds every 2 weeks right away, close to $500 monthly. they negotiated down about 4-5 debts not for a large amount 200-1000 off for the higher ones but also when they negotiate if you accept they do say that additional funds have to be deducted ok so I can't do that so had to decline a few. so long story short come down to canceling they tell me any settlement's I approved get canceled ok understandable then I ask if I get refunded anything they say no bc I have fees of 900 ok so the money I have been giving to settle the debt that hasn't even been paid where is that oh no they inform me that it's the fee they charge. sooooo let's get this straight you settle to take off $400 from the debt to charge me $300 in fees, now where's the savings there, for that I call the creditor directly and try to get it down and just pay them. The best part about this company is that it appears to work: they have negotiated on my behalf and achieved lower repayments to my creditors. The worst part about this company... as I'm sure any current client can attest to... is that their customer service folks are AWFUL at interpreting what is happening in the process and explaining things to the end user. Don't fall for it. This company, and any other credit settlement company, is part of a parasitic system that preys on consumer fear and ignorance. If you find yourself in debt, stop making payments, tear up scary notice letters (which is, by the way, the same thing that COA will ask you to do once you enroll) and start saving as much money as you can. Their process is to wait until accounts are charged off, so they can "negotiate" with collections agencies. It behooves COA to get a high amount settlement so their 25% fee is higher for each account. The negotiation process that they charge THOUSANDS for is the same process you would do for yourself, by sending a registered Debt Validation letter to your creditors. The forms for these letters can be found on the internet, and advice for this process can be found on reddit.com. Search for "Debt Validation Letter" and go from there. The process will cost you the consumer $5 for registered mail plus the cost of paper and ink. Often these days, credit collections agencies that have bought your debt for pennies on the dollar will contact YOU offering settlements, because they want even just a slight return on their investment. The original creditor has already written off the loss for their taxes. Long story short,STAY FAR FAR AWAY, save your money, and do this yourself. Lets start with the 100% money back guarantee. THIS IS A TRAP! No debt can be settled in 30 days if you're not ALREADY 90 days behind on the debt. Even then it's borderline impossible, so a 30 day guarantee is a way to provide a false sense of security while they pocket the change. After speaking to an attorney, it was made clear that I was avoiding the laws of common sense. They also say if you don't see a savings on your first account... well it's easy to do it right the first time. It was the SECOND one that made me question (explained below). With 8 accounts being submitted in July of 2021, they were very excited to call us daily to confirm our interest in their program. Since July we've just received our 3rd settlement payoff (it's March so 7 months later) and they're having "trouble" processing that. Between the 2 that have been settled we've saved roughly a couple hundred dollars with one of the accounts netting a savings of $7 after they took out their FEE for the "negotiation". I'll let you determine if it was the first or second... On my enrollment package they show an estimation of over $15k in savings, but at this rate, they are going to have to work MIRACLES to settle the remaining accounts and meet that goal. They have you pay a large payment monthly to build the account where they'll take their fees and the money to pay off the other bills. I will send you the recording if you don't believe me. If you're gonna take on the debt, be prepared to have the conversations with the creditors. It'll ACTUALLY save you time and money. ClearOne Advantage gives you a false sense of security when you're stressing to pay bills; with incredibly drawn out results (lingering on the time your credit is being destroyed), and then take the majority of the settlement difference to pay themselves. Ultimately, you could just settle yourself and pay them directly as I did in the past. I wish I had done that this time, but now I know. If you've ever settled a collection/debt in the past then you already know you can. Do it again when you need but don't pay someone else to do it for you. You don't win. read more

This was the dumbest decision I have ever made. Enrolling in this program. I haven't been able to get an apartment or a car, it's been over a year since I enrolled. Nothing was as expected. This is one of my biggest regrets of my life, top 2. After you enroll, it is very difficult to get someone to talk to, last time I tried, it took 4 hours. Also, they settled one of my debts without my consent or knowledge. Still don't know what is being done about this, it's so hard to communicate with them. Also, their proposed settlement comes out to about even from when I first started the program bc of the debt, interest, and penalties I incurred from the required nonpayments. I spoke to other people in similar situations and they dealt directly with their creditors to work out a minimum payment that they could afford. This is for those not sure of using Clear One to help with your debt. First you all have to know Clear One is not a debt consolidation company. The money you provide monthly is what they use to make the payments to the settlement offers they work hard to provide you. So, if debt consolidation is what you're looking for you're in the wrong website. Clear One is a perfect solution, if you want to take care of all your credit card debt without having to negotiate with the credit companies you owe. And here is an FYI even if your successful getting a settlement yourself with the credit companies, they are going to want a lump sum for a settlement deal. While with Clear One they are able to get a settlement that will be broken up into monthly settlement payments. There will be times when some settlement's will require you to make extra payments on the payments you are already paying monthly in order to pay for other settlements they were able to negotiate, but that will be up to you to accept the settlement offers they provide you that will require the extra monetary expense Clear One will need to complete the settlements. I have been with Clear One for 1 year already and out of 13 accounts that I gave to them to help me with, as of today they have settled 9. All the settlements I approved I was happy with. You have to have an open mind and really think about the settlement offers they offer you. As of yet I have not declined any they have given. Now one big thing you will have to understand that you credit will go down in the beginning because you will have to stop making payments on your credit accounts while Clear One is negotiating with them. Negotiations can take 3 months, but you have to have patience it could take longer. I have been one of lucky ones that Clear One has been able to get settlements faster than expected. My credit in the beginning had gone as low as 330 which is scary, but one year later it is now at 550. Yes, that still is low but as far as I am concerned it has not gone down, but it has been going up and I do not have to worry about making those monthly minimum payments to all those credit cards I had which equaled over two times what I wound up paying Clear One monthly.
