ONE STAR BECAUSE 0 ISN'T AN OPTION.! PARENTS AND POTENTIAL CLIENTS BEWARE.!!!! I should have known it was a bad idea when I read the previous reviews on here but a friend of mine was vouching for this place so I figured it can't be that bad... boy was I wrong.! I have been through treatment multiple times unfortunately but I have never had such a horrible experience as I did at Clear Life Recovery. The photos you see online is not the home that you will be residing in, there is very little therapeutic activity if any at all, many clients complained to me about this being their first time and how they were lied to on the phone just to get them there. One of the staff members was in the doorway of the girls bedroom and he was discussing how he just lost his virginity, and explaining in details how he "ejaculated", how long he lasted etc; VERY INAPPROPRIATE FOR THIS TYPE OF ENVIRONMENT.! What if one of them had a hx of trauma from sexual abuse. Definitely not okay.!!!! They boast about a "chef", which is just a cook who whips together meals like pigs in a blanket with cottage cheese for dinner, while detoxing I don't think so... Not to mention there was rarely anything to drink besides water and no other options for food besides peanut butter and jelly or cereal, while insurance companies are being billed thousands of dollars a day to this facility. The "nurse" on staff during the day, who is not a registered nurse, maybe an LVN at most, so she does not have the right to prescribe or dispense medication, (which she always did) but she is the liaison between Dr and client and the one that inputs the med orders into the system, refused to let me speak to the doctor despite that being in the top 10 on the list of client rights posted at the front door. This uptight miserable woman withheld my meds from me on multiple occasions leaving me to suffer, I requested a transfer to a different facility and was told there were no beds available anywhere else which was also a Lie probably because they would lose that insurance money... & GOD forbid you request an ibuprofen or any OTC med that there is no order for, guess what your just shit out of luck. You or your child will see the doctor once a week via telehealth, for a very brief and very expensive check in. Everyone gets prescribed the same detox protocol regardless of usage history, height, weight etc which is how doctors usually determine dosages, it's not a case by case basis, everyone gets the same detox taper. They also try to keep you or your child hostage for as long as the insurance is willing to give authorization and continue to pay but as soon as the buck stops guess what, your being discharged and 9/10 if you don't want to continue with their PHP program your on your own to come up with one yourself.! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE FROM OUT OF STATE, there are plenty of legitimate facilities in CA as well as other states, This is just not one of them and Places like this are the reason that addicts die and become homeless in a place they are not familiar with. Not only this facility, but this doctor is the "Medical Director" at so many facilities that he has using his license in order to operate, can't keep up with his client load.! Its such a shame . My heart breaks for these kids. During my very brief stay there I met a few different young men, one that I'm not sure his age but he definitely needed a higher level of care, an 18 and 23 year old both from Out of state that we basically being held captive. One kid had family buy his plane ticket discreetly so that they had NO CHOICE but to discharge him. Upon leaving I had to physically grab my personal belongings and they withheld my medication that I brought in which are non-narcotic. It was so bad that the police had to get involved, the situation is still on going because I have not received my medication back and the owner is threatening to call the police on me saying that I'm under the influence of meds because I am driving after they gave me some medication almost 6 hours ago. I will find a place that actually genuinely cares about the person and not just their money from the insurance policy. Best of luck to anyone seeking help. Don't believe what you see online. Make sure you do your research, read reviews, requests tours online or in person. Do not get sucked into the fraudulent bs. Best of luck in you or your loved ones recovery.! read more
