I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience with Clear Eyes in North Platte, I feel it's important to share what happened. I spent over $700 on a pair of prescription glasses using a prescription I brought with me from another eye doctor. When the glasses came in, the bifocal was positioned incorrectly, and they also had a yellow reflective coating that I never requested. I returned to have them corrected, but instead of listening to my concerns, the optician who manages the optical department immediately became argumentative. She repeatedly told me she had 10 years of experience and insisted the glasses weren't wrong. To the doctor's credit, he came out personally and tried to help by ordering replacement lenses. I truly appreciated his effort. Unfortunately, after wearing the replacement glasses, it became clear that the prescription I had brought in was not the correct prescription for my eyes. Now, I was now left with a pair of glasses that I couldn't wear. Because I was leaving town to care for a sick family member, I didn't have the time to start the entire process over again. I returned to the office simply asking for a refund. Instead, I was told that refunds are not given on prescription glasses and that I just needed to keep wearing them. If you can't see through your glasses, continuing to wear them isn't a solution. As a single mom, losing over $700 is a significant financial hit. What should have been a simple, compassionate conversation became another stressful situation during an already difficult time. The lack of professionalism from the optician and the unwillingness to work with me left me feeling completely dismissed. I understand businesses have policies, but good customer service is about how you treat people when things don't go as planned. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. If you're considering purchasing glasses from Clear Eyes, I encourage you to reconsider. read more

I tried…read morecalling a couple of dental offices - and was happy to reach the friendly, professional receptionist at States Dental Clinic. I explained what had happened, and she was able to work me into their schedule the next day. The dentist, Trent States, reviewed the x-ray and explained my options clearly and concisely. Since I live outside the country I didn't want to start a dental process there and then complete it somewhere else, so he worked up an overall patch filling for the space, something that would keep me comfortable until I could go to a dentist at home. He explained that it was temporary, and that I needed to follow up, and informed me of the best ways to increase my chances of it lasting until I could have the tooth dealt with elsewhere. His work-around performed beautifully. He also gave advice on how he would approach a permanent solution for this particular tooth - which I greatly appreciated, and passed along to my regular dentist. Each of the staff members at States Dental was professional, personable, and ready to help. I'd definitely recommend them and their services!

You have to pay half upfront before they will confirm an appointment. I guess it makes sense. They want to make sure you are serious and can afford it because insurance doesn't cover any of it. Please see Blue Shield letter attached to this review where it shows that Alan Brewer MD denied my doctors treatment request for cervical injections on December 2018. I live in California. Dr Brewer is in Nebraska. I have never seen him, he has never seen my patient files, never seen the images yet he denied my doctors treatment plan. I had to file appeals and grievances with insurance which slowed my treatment by a few months (my treatment was approved because it is medically necessary). Dr Brewer is accepting money by Blue Shield to deny proper healthcare of people for whom he has never spoke to nor seen nor has any relationship to.
