Cowgirl provisions is new In Flatonia and donated a gift basket to a local fundraiser which we…read morepurchased. The basket had a voucher for some entrees and appetizers. We decided to use it for a family gathering and ordered the chicken spinach lasagna, flat bread, a tossed salad and cranberry and eggnog bread pudding. All our guest raves about the food. It was very good and flavorful. If you are in the need to feed a large group of people, please keep her in mind and give her a call. We would definitely use her again and we are eager to try some of her other recipes.

I have taken 3 cooking classes at Cowgirl Provisions and will be back again and again. By watching…read moreand listening to Annie I have learned many new and delicious recipes - which we also got to taste during the class. Her cooking techniques are unique, easy and great for my home kitchen and family needs. Annie's creative blends of flavors really ramp up the recipe - but the recipes are not so detailed that I would not try them. Her seasonings are primarily things I already have in my kitchen. We also enjoy shopping from the Cowgirl Provision's freezer. So many heat it up and enjoy items are available and make dinner different and yummy! It's also a shopping experience. Annie stocks kitchen tools and gadgets along with "provisions" to add to her menus. Delicious brownies, yogurts, dressings, cheeses, oils, beef......all locally sourced. Annie is fantastic about promoting other businesses in the community. She is fun and enthusiastic about her craft and makes learning in the kitchen a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend anyone in the Flatonia area stop in and visit Annie AND definitely take a class.

My husband and I initially wanted another well-known BBQ Asian fusion restaurant to cater our…read morewedding and were pretty set on it. But after our guest list grew, we had to move locations and our venue was no longer within their catering vicinity. I searched high and low for different vendors that fit the fusion that we wanted, but couldn't find anything that fit just right (or that didn't break the bank). Then I somehow stumbled across Rebel Catering on Google. They had a wide variety of packages for food varying from Asian, to bbq, to Mexican. They didn't have a ton of reviews, and it seemed like they mostly did corporate events, but I gave them a call. I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive of how incredibly chill Rahul is at first (because I was already stressed out), but when I told him about our vision, he immediately checked with his chefs and created an incredible menu for us. My mom and mother in law's primary request was copycats of the other restaurant's corn fritters, and he even delivered on that. I'll attach a picture of the menu, but our minds were blown at the quality and freshness of the food. Buffet style brisket is HARD and he and his team crushed it. I even had friends with allergies and he accommodated them without question. The most popular part of the night though was the shaved ice. Part of Rebel Catering is their shaved ice package with alcoholic shaved ice (TABC bartender included). They had custom flavors to match our Asian fusion theme, and even brought their truck in to serve our guests! They also created a custom flavor named after our cat and created a sign with a cute cartoon of him. They also had tons of other drinks including sodas, jelly drinks, boba drinks, and energy drinks. TLDR: HIRE REBEL CATERING. Your guests will love you forever.

I just catered breakfast for a family event with 20 people and spend $442 (including tip/delivery)…read more The food was mediocre and the portions were so small. I ordered "The Convention" breakfast which was "Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes and Buttermilk Biscuits" - it came with literally 20 tiny sausage patties and biscuits total. So one tiny sausage and biscuit per person. I didn't count the bacon but it was a similarly stingy portion. No one had more than two pieces. The eggs were bland. The potatoes were actually good. But overall, it was so embarrassing to have the food show up and it be these tiny trays of hardly any food for over $400. I would have been better off ordering individual dishes for each person from a local restaurant. I thought with the high Yelp and Google reviews I saw, this would be a safe bet! I also ordered a 20 mini pastries for $3.25 each which were like pastries you get at a 7/11. At least if you are overcharging, let the food be good and not like you unwrapped pastries from a Costco haul. Worst of all was the coffee which was watered down and disgusting. Everyone threw theirs out so I just dumped it. What an utter waste of money. Also they only sent 8 cups with the coffee even though the breakfast was for 20. Stingy and bland all around. If you are catering for a small group, please save yourself the trouble and embarrassment and just order takeout from a local restaurant. I wish I took pictures of the spread but I was just too upset. All I took was the coffee which you can tell even from the picture was watery. ***The menu listed the items but didn't say only 1, 1oz piece of bacon per person - that's absolutely absurd for a normal breakfast portion. Who would cater one piece of bacon per person?
