Life without constipation-My almost five year old daughter has had severe constipation issues for over a year. The situation began to get worse when she started to complain of stomach pain, and refusal to eat meals at times. As a mother you always have sympathy for your child's pain, and I wanted to help without giving her a prescribed medication. Since I'm an Exercise Science Major, I wanted to seek a naturalistic route to help elevate her pain. I have finally found something that relieves my migraines - I had always heard about chiropractic, but never actually participated or truly learned about it until my internship with Clear Connections. Functioning at 100% Thanks to Clear Connections Chiropractic-I discovered Chiropractic care at the Health and Wellness Expo, where I received a chair massage from the staff of Clear Connections Chiropractic. I had a history of headaches, neck, and back pain for years. The pain has been so severe in the past that I was unable to function. At times I would go for two or more days without leaving my bed. I have been on prescribed medication, as well as physical therapy to treat the pain I have endured. The medication along with the physical therapy would not treat the pain; therefore I wanted to try an alternative treatment plan. After my second adjustment I noticed significant changes including but not limited to: ability to have restful sleep, and capability to walk more efficiently for a longer amount of time. Chiropractic care has changed my life by giving me the ability to function at 100%, whereas before treatment I was only at 80-90%. My first encounter with chiropractic was when I met the doctors of Clear Connections, who work in the same building as me. I scheduled an appointment one day, and shared my most pressing health issues with them: long time knee problems, limping, and a lot of pain. My knee was very painful when I was standing or walking for any length of time, making the stairs and house work at my home extremely difficult. I have had surgery and cortisone injections in the past, but neither compared to the relief I found after only 2 weeks at Clear Connections! Before, I couldn't even cross my legs due to the pain, and now I am able to not only cross my legs, but also my walk is improving. This is written as a Public Service Announcement - the Doctors at Clear Connections are NOT vaccinated, nor do they wear a mask. Given the number of children who are patients at this practice, their approach is beyond irresponsible. They do not follow the covid vaccine protocols recommended by the ACA, CDC or NEJM but rather their own individual subject matter experts. I appreciated the quality of chiropractic care extended and I am greatly saddened that they do not recognize a public-spirited, altruistic reason for getting vaccinated: There's now bountiful evidence that vaccinated people are much less likely to transmit the virus to others.
