Madison Avenue Cleaning to the rescue!! I called Madison, late on a Saturday afternoon, desperate to have help the following day, cleaning the apartment I was subletting. The apartment was in serious need of a deep cleaning, and I wouldn't be able to unpack or sleep until the cleaning was done. Madison generously made room in their schedule, and came Sunday afternoon. Ok. Was so impressed with them. First of all we were moving our house while they were cleaning. Didn't even know they were there. They were so quiet that I had to ask them were they cleaning. Let me just say that I will be using them again. This is a five star company. The fee was more than acceptable. I would strongly reccomend them to ANYONE THAT DOES NOT HAVE TIME TO CLEAN. Please use them everytime you make a mess. What was funny was that the real estate agent that sold our said the house was not clean after they left. She was lying. Spotless and perfection. I contacted Madison Avenue Cleaning to perform a clean out of one property and they did a fabulous job. They were responsive and the rates were reasonable for the amount of work I asked them to perform. Because my first experience was so good I asked them to clean the baseboards, 2 bathrooms, wipe down the doors and inside / outside of the kitchen cabinets of another property. After they were done I was given a price which I felt was a little high but I shrugged it off and paid just knowing I would return to town to a clean condo. Instead I returned to two uncleared bathrooms, baseboards that hadn't been cleaned and doors that hadn't been wiped down. To add insult to injury, I got no response when I contacted Madison about the lack of work completed. Since the condo was pretty clean to begin with I think they felt they could tell me they had completed the job and I wasn't going to be aware of the dust still on the baseboards, the scum on the shower glass, the streaks on the mirrors and the spot of two of dirt on the un-mopped bathroom floor. Just beware if you use this service. Apparently they are not consistent and will attempt to scam you into thinking they've cleaned when they haven't if your place isn't filthy. 5 stars first job but 1 star for the second and the lack of response from the owner gives them 1 star overall. read more
