A pair of pants was stitched at just 4 points, which caused my feet to hang up on the cuff every time I put the pants on, and causing the stitches to fail soon after. The cut was also uneven and not straight. On my second run, I had the sleeves of a sport jacket done and the stitching was just butchered. First, they tell me it'll be ready in 3 days. I go back in 3 days and I see it hanging on the rack, never being touched. So they tell me it'll be ready in a few hours. It's obvious they rushed the job because the sleeves come out completely sewn up, no time put in to re-do the button holes. When I bring it back to get fixed, it takes 3 days of stopping in and arguing with them before I ever get the jacket back. They cut so much material off the sleeves I can't even take it to an actual tailor to fix it.

I've used Nu Trend for the past year or so for my dry cleaning needs, but for some reason never…read morewrote them a review (it must have slipped through the cracks). That's all changing right now though... Last week I attended a concert at MSG and the person sitting behind me spilled barbecue sauce all over my winter coat...I mean, it was everywhere. I understand accidents happen, but this one stung. I love my winter coat; I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it, and it wasn't cheap. I checked the label and saw it was dry-clean only, so I decided not to mess with any of the stains myself and bought it straight to Nu Trend the next morning. I kept my expectations low, and was mentally preparing to say goodbye to my coat - but lo and behold when I picked it up today it looked as good as new. They missed a small spot on the inner lining that I was able to get out with water, but besides that the stains were completely gone. I was shook, in a good way. That being said, I would definitely trust Nu Trend with not only my dry cleaning, but any sort of stain or specialty cleaning I need in the future. Thank you for saving my coat! =D

This time, it was just weird, and fraught. None of the familiar people were there. After the problems occurred I asked if it is now under new ownership or management and was told it isn't, but.... Various mistakes were made, including that one jacket that was to be cleaned apparently was not, they didn't follow through on sending back to me some buttons I had brought that were to be used (but weren't), and, topping it off, their phone number was out of service for at least several days, which prevented interim communication and actually made me wonder if they had closed down. With regret, I'm going elsewhere in the future. I loved the old Chatsworth Cleaners.
