I'm a repeat customer so read this knowing I have given this post a lot of thought. It started with a yelp project where multiple businesses reached out and provided pricing and availability. I originally selected another company (who will remain un-named) and they FLAKED. I was panicked. I saved up and had people coming to help. I called Clean Up Cali and they came through in a huge way! I ordered a bin for the trash created during a remodel. As it turned out the bin we had was not enough, so I called in the morning as soon as the business opened to ask if it was possible to get another bin by noon. The workers were leaving at 2 PM. I explained the situation and was told that a bin would arrive between 12 and 1 PM. I I think the person on the phone and when about my day. By 2 PM the bin had not arrived despite the text letting me know it would arrive between 12 and 1 PM I canceled the delivery because there was no point in having the bin after the workers had gone. They tried to deliver the bin at 4 PM despite my cancellation. And then I was charged $75 for canceling, even though they are the ones who failed to deliver when they said they would. To make matters worse, when I called to ask for the full refund, the person on the phone. (same guy who had processed the order) was super rude, sarcastically asking if I know that he doesn't control traffic. Completely unnecessary. Worst company ever! They are always late or don't even show up with the containers, then call you with the worst excuses offering you big discounts to keep your business. I think the issue is that they don't understand what they are doing and that the owner a lady named Jenn and her son, I think, a guy named mike don't even speak English. Absolutely wonderful experience with this company. I never needed to rent a dumpster before so I didn't know exactly what I needed or where to start. I initially called a couple of companies a few months ago, but none of them made me feel comfortable. That made me put my project off for months until I decided to give it another go. I called Clean Up Cali and Mike was great. He asked me a few questions and then got me set up for the dumpster rental the very next day. I knew it was a reach since the delivery would be the next day, but I asked for a morning drop off if it was at all possible. He said he would put in a request for me. The driver showed up first thing in the morning. Super friendly. He set things up exactly where I wanted. And since it was a morning drop off I was able to knock out my project that day. I called them late that afternoon to let them know the bin was ready for pickup. Sure enough the driver showed up first thing this morning and picked up the dumpster. My only regret is that I didn't call this company sooner. I can't believe I was able to get the dumpster, do my project, and have it picked up all within 24 hours AND better pricing than the initial companies I spoke to. This company has gone downhill. I've used their services before, but this time they didn't deliver on time. When it was ready for pick-up, it took them over a week, even though the dumpster was sitting on the street, and neighbors were using it. I am actually a repeat customer. The first time I used this company was through a referral from my neighbor. The communication and service was OK then however in contacting for repeat service, it's sizing up to be a nightmare. I'm receiving horrible service and absolutely poor communication! I expected an ETA of when they were going to deliver my dumpster as I was planning my schedule. No call or text or follow up from the company. They showed up unannounced, provided the wrong Dumpster, the lids are so bent you can't completely close them. FYI- The picture of dumpsters on their website look nothing like what I received. Then there's the excuse of their trucks breaking down and not being able to pickup the dumpsters in a timely manner. They do this on purpose to charge you more for keeping their dumpster. Would love to give 0 stars if I could. The driver came to pick up the trash can and ended up pushing it into the side of our house. The trash can is still sitting there yet to be moved because "they don't have crew to come move it. Only drivers". Spoke to Felicia who was not listening very much and kept saying that she has to go with what her driver is telling her he's been doing it for 3 years. At the end of the day, your driver is the one who used his machine to push this into our home. We didn't get behind the wheel and do it ourselves. Take responsibility for that and make it better for your customers. Jennifer Dhillon, if you're reading this, please get back to me. Felicia told me I could speak to you but also has no way of me reaching you, doesn't know when you'll get back to me, and also has no email contact for you. But apparently you're her supervisor. I've used this company a few times with no issues. My husband and I wanted to clean out our garage. So I ordered a bigger dumpster so I can throw away more trash. We got it done, and felt accomplished. When they came to pickup the dumpster, it was too heavy for their truck. They never told me what I could and couldn't throw away before ordering. Supervisor Karina was rude, and had no sympathy. She told me she was charging me another $300 to send another dumpster. I said NO WAY! So me and my husband had to go outside and dig in the trash to make the dumpster lighter. Our neighbors had a front row seat. We had to put a lot of stuff back in our garage after all of the time we spent cleaning it out. They took forever to pick the dumpster back up. I didn't use the service but my neighbor did. The neighbor's alarm had been going off for about two days and I saw the dumpster with the number and decided to try and call them to notify the property owner. Sophia (Sofia?) picked up and was able to coordinate with the other offices to notify the owner and she even called me back to let me know that they would be notified. The alarm is now off! I'm used to living in much smaller areas, and thus used to being able to find a landfill where I could drop things off. After many google searched and phone calls, I realized that was not a cheap and easy endeavor here in southern California. I started looking for a dumpster instead, but was finding outrageous prices or dumpsters that weren't big enough. I wound up finding Clean Up Cali, gave them a call, and Karina was incredibly helpful. I had a bunch of questions, and she answered all of them. Horrible customer service, lies to tell you what you want to hear, fraud charges, guarantee they delete comments. I had a bin dropped off on a Wednesday and they called the night before saying I needed to add a 10yard. I agree with them but they both need to be picked up on Monday due to residential street and my not being able to control neighbors putting trash in the either dumpster. They agreed so I agreed. They came on Monday and only picked up the 10yr. I told them I still have more stuff to toss so can I get another bin. They convince me that I can put all the grass in the 10 yard when previously they said I couldn't put grass in my first 10 yard which is why I had ordered the bin in the first place. Well they drop off a second 10 yard and request a pickup the following day. THEY AGREE. The day comes and goes, they don't pick up either the bin or the 10yard. Tuesday comes and I call and text they continue to tell me they will get back to me. Finally Tuesday night comes and they tell me that the truck broke down and that why they can't pick up the bin. I tell them that the bin is in the way of construction plus regular trash delivery and that's why I requested for it to be moved by Monday. Karina starts threatening me (most of what she said is not legal) and then promised to have the 10 yard removed and the bin moved out of the way on Wednesday. Wednesday comes and they pick up the 10 yard but the bin is still sitting in the of construction and they are threatening me with additional charges if random trash is in the bin from the neighborhood. They will lie and promise you what you want to hear to get your business. Then to keep your business, they will threaten you. All of this on top of the damage that has been done to the property from the dragging of the bin when it was originally delivered and the driver was unable to get the bin off the forks. Karina needs to be fired. Everything has been documented and proof has been saved for potential lawsuit. read more

I own and operate a small business and needed a bin for some work at home. I got a referral to Clean up Cali, called them and asked for a price and availability on a 20 yard. Price was fair and I scheduled the delivery. When the bin arrived it was a 40 yard! I told the driver this was a mistake, but he told me that they had run out of the smaller bins and I would only get charged or the 20 yard and any extra weight. Cant complain about that arrangement. Delivery was on time, bin was better than I needed, service was professional and friendly (first time I have ever gotten a contract form to sign on-line from a dumpster company!), price was fair. ZERO STARS IS WHAT IS DESERVED. My husband is a contractor and i have used this company on numerous job sites without issue. TILL NOW. I called for a bin (I specifically asked for a "lowboy") on Monday & was quoted $218 by Adriana. I order it for delivery the following day and that afternoon I was charged $399. When I called today to ask why I was charged a different price than what I was quoted, I was first told by Adriana that I wasn't quoted $218. That I ordered a 10 yard lowboy and that's $399. The 3 yard cowboy is $218 but "she didn't quote me that". I disputed that as I had my notes from the call and I knew what she had said. I asked for a supervisor to call me back which she had no problem with since "all their calls are recorded". AWESOME! I have NO issue with this because I 100% know what I was quoted. Felecia calls me back - first she tells me that the calls weren't recorded that day. Hmmm, ironic no? I also own a business that the calls are recorded and I have NO CLUE if the recording can even be turned off but ‍ I digress, she then tells me that her employee never quoted me $218 and that I must have ordered the wrong bin. There are TWO lowboy bin sizes but I had made the error. FIRST, I don't work for the disposal company - THEY DO. I have NO FREAKING CLUE that there are multiple cowboy sizes. How would I? If your customer calls and only asks for a LOWBOY, wouldn't you ask them to clarify?!? How is that my job? She then goes on to say that I should call other companies to see where I got that price. Not necessary - I got it from them. She insists that I ordered wrong. I ask her the price of the smaller lowboy (not what I was delivered); she looks it up...$218. Hmmmm, there are no coincidences. I didn't pull that number out of thin air. I was quoted it. By THEM. She still insists that the error is mine Long story short, I ask for them to refund the difference. I should only have to pay for what I was quoted. PERIOD. They refuse. They offer an additional week. No thanks, I don't need it another week. They offer to now bring out the bin I was quoted for. Nope, I'm done with my project. She tried to say that I signed a contract. I said send it to me (I signed nothing) She sent me a contract from a previous project. I am fully disputing the charge. I had no issue paying for what I was quoted. But now I hope they get nothing. That's some shady business practices right there. I don't appreciate that, as a business owner or a consumer. I used Clean Up Cali in Porter Ranch/Northridge and I had the worst experience with them towards the end of Oct 2022. First their charge was so expensive for 5 short days, then they don't follow their contract; they were supposed to pick up their dumpster on a Friday noon, but did not pick up till the following Saturday late in the afternoon, not only it cost me more money to pay the movers, but the dumpster left skid marks and scratches on my driveway. This company was greedy with money as they charged you right away before the week of service. Their manager/supervisor Sophia was a total LIAR, she said she was going to give me back a credit of $100 for their late pickup of their dumpster and for costing me more money to pay my movers BUT she NEVER did, she pretended that she relayed the credit back information to their billing dept but never did.
