My friends love color, and the designers worked with them to take out a couple of walls, merge the dining area, and turn a closed L-shaped kitchen into an open festive space with yards of counter space, walls of cabinets, and easy seating for twelve! Did my friends love working with Seriously Happy Homes? Totally! Do they love the result? Absolutely!

Rebecca is an incredible designer, and you will be forever grateful to have hired her. She…read morebeautifully balances careful attention to detail with gorgeous vision and creativity. She is patient and kind as she walks you through the design process and answers your (inevitable) many questions each step of the way. We worked with her to redesign three spaces in our home: our kitchen, and two bathrooms. With each space, she found ways to approach them in new and practical ways when we felt otherwise overwhelmed. She guided us through choosing stunning finishes, and we received so many compliments from contractors and friends alike along the way. We had never done a remodel - and now, being on the other end of the process, we don't know where we would have been had we not had her detailed designs to guide us all along the way. Whenever questions arose, it was invaluable to have something so concrete to refer to, and we can't recommend this approach enough for anyone considering a remodel.

About a year ago it became apparent that my father, in his 80s, needed to transition into assisted…read moreliving. He had to say goodbye to living in the only home he and my mother (who has passed), owned. Purchased in the early 1970s. Also the only physical location I knew as "home" growing up. Fast forward to present, a year later. The house still has not gone on the market due to life happening. With the birth of our first child, I found myself overwhelmed as I walked through my parents house. It was aging, and cluttered with 40+ years of memories and, well, clutter. Why all the backstory? Because anyone can come into a strangers home and throw things out, or donate them. But Linda came recommended for a reason. She walked into our home with a felt sense of honoring the memories that existed there. Everything she touched and inquired about was intentional, with purpose and respect. She engaged the memories with us and lent a firmly gentle hand on some items that were best to let go of, knowing it was hard to do so. The topper for me was how she engaged my father who wrestles with memory loss. She never responded to him with anything other that complete respect. As I drove dad from the house his response was: "She really is an outstanding woman, so professional, organized, and nice." I can not recommended Uncluttered and Linda enough. She made the overwhelming manageable.

I sent a follow up text the next week and still not response. I find this very unprofessional since I had a deadline of one room being cleaned out. So now after waiting and losing 2 weeks I am searching for a new organizer

I had used this service before and had a good experience. This time was different. After 1.5 hours,…read moreI had trouble understanding where the organizer was going with her plan, so I tried to express my needs and what I was looking for. After discussing for a while, she just left, having made more of a mess than was there before. I am including the "after" photo. Update: I got an email from the CEO threatening me for this review. It's unfortunate that her employee was upset with our appointment too. I stopped her to understand what her plan was and explain my needs, so that we weren't wasting our time. I'm sorry that my feedback hurt her feelings. My harshest feedback to her was, "I understand your piles, but I don't see how they are helpful," and "there are a lot of piles here - at some point they become superfluous." I have nothing against her employee. She seemed like a nice person. But I didn't see that her method was meaningful, and her explanation was only "this is my training" so I continued to not understand her plan, and I pressed to find out more, because I genuinely wanted her help. I tried to explain that all I wanted was someone to sit with me and say "do you need to keep this?" But she told me that her way was to make a bunch of piles, leave for 30 min so I could decide what to get rid of by myself, and then come back and put the leftovers away. I told her that if she did that, I would just feel overwhelmed and probably not do anything. So she told me she couldn't help. As she got up to leave, I even said, "ok we can do it your way. I'll try to trust you. Please don't leave me with this mess." But she left anyway. I wasn't going to even write a review until I realized she had scattered my sentimental box in an unfixable way. When I realized that, I cried. I had told her I wanted to work together, but she had refused, and if we had worked together in the first place, she wouldn't have destroyed the one thing that really mattered to me. It was a bad day for all involved. The CEO says I am a "bully" for articulating my needs, but I don't think my expectations were unreasonable. I wanted to go thru things together, and have the organizer be gently present as I made decisions about letting go. The organizer wanted to sort things herself and have me make decisions alone. Those ideologies are fundamentally at odds, so maybe it's good she left early.
