They communicate every step of the way. Tim must have a PHd in trees, (whatever that is called), because he can tell a person more about trees than we normal humans need for a lifetime. Smart dude. I had friended him on social media, as we had friends in common and he had just patronized the shop I work at. On a Sunday, I messaged him since I didn't have his number, when he could come by and provide some estimates. He showed up at my door within minutes. My wife and I were immediately impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He wasn't pushy at all, and the estimate was beyond competitive and reasonable. We had to push back the day a couple of times, and they were very understanding. Susan left me a VM a week out to confirm, (nice touch). The work was great and my yard looks amazing without the unsightly stump, and 3 huge trees they removed. I could tell that he really needed the work, so I agreed and we shook hands. He then asked me for a 25% deposit. I told him that I didn't pay upfront and that was a deal breaker for me. As I turned to walk away, he said; "I need to get some gas and a new chainsaw blade to do the job, could you at least give me $50?" I knew better, but I felt sorry for the guy. They were very meticulous in spreading the mulch, taking the time to remove numerous stepping stones and reinstalling them once the mulch was down.
