We were very nervous about the trees, and called a couple of tree services out to give us their opinion as to what trees needed to be removed. Both services recommended removing all of the trees as they were too close to the house and all had branches hanging over or endangering the home. We chose Orleans Co Tree Service because they are not landscapers that also do trees, they are a liscensed, insured, dedicated tree service with certified arborists. Their pricing was excellent, and the bid was total, any taxes, fees,etc, were included in the price. Additionally, they took away all the wood, cleaned up any limbs and leaves, and ground all of the stumps. They had 10 trees down, including 125' pine, a 59+ foot rotting maple, and the 4 dangerous to cut dead trees, stumps ground, and detritus cleaned up, in 5 hours. Amazing!

His quote was lower than the other companies who said they'd be there... significantly lower. He gave me a schedule, and after a storm when many trees are down, that's difficult to do. They were two days late on their schedule, and they called me a week in advance to let me know that there would be a delay. When the wind blows, sometimes you have to wait in line... nice to know how long that line is. The job... flat out professional. I met the manager on site early in the morning and his crew showed up shortly afterward. 5 hours later, the damaged tree was removed without any damage to the surrounding fence and buildings. A side note, the manager was a wealth of information about trees in general and how I should proceed filling the space that the red maple took up. I highly recommend these guys!

They require half down and the other half when the job is done. The crew was very courteous and left the property clean and ready to go.
