I am here right now and there's no attendant in sight. I came here because it's convenient to my families hotel downtown and I needed to wash our clothes before returning home. Upon arriving I put my clothes into washer number 25 and it would not begin the wash cycle. I then moved my laundry to machine number 28 and it wouldn't work. All this to find out that a power shortage is to blame and there's no one here to tell someone which machines are working and which are not. After over 15 calls to the posted number, no answer and I'm out of at least $17. The washers are now reading a charge of $52.25 for a single wash and no one's here to address this!!! read more

This is my third time visiting this facility. The first time was fine the second time I thought it was because I used a dead washer than before, however today I used the machines that I used on my first visit and there's literally no almost water in the machine, which means all of that soap will be in my clothing. Which means I have to DOUBLE WASH without soap the second tome around to avoid having skin irritations. The washer was not overfilled and I used 3 cups of soap. You dont wash clothes by getting them wet and pouring soap on them. They obviously need water to spin in. ****Edited to add a new video. read more

I used 4 washes. Out of the 4, 3 did not wash my clothes--they were still stained and dirty. I've tried reaching out to the owner and I haven't heard back. The machines were small, no one was there to help, and it cost more than the one I normally go to--it was closed due to the holiday. I thought this place would get the job done--it's just washing clothes--but it didn't and I had to go somewhere else to wash my clothes. I'm very displeased and would recommend you go ANYWHERE ELSE Update: coincidentally, a couple of hrs after posting this, the owner returned my 3 calls/voicemails. He said that if he doesn't find any mechanical issues, then "clearly, i overloaded the machine." The machine that tipped me off that my clothes weren't clean had one queen sheet set, 7-10 pairs of underwear, and a thin blanket. (I'll provide a picture). There is no way that the machine was overloaded. And "clearly" is wrong since he, not an attendant, were there to see any of this. It was $11 but I won't be going back. I'd advise no one else go back either. The OWNER was rude and refused to make good on the fact that I had to go somewhere else to wash my clothes. read more

Desperately running out of clothes, I finally could not wait to do laundry any longer. My friend recommended this laundromat to me saying that it was one of the better if not best one she had been to in the campus area. I decided to do my laundry here around 2pm on a Friday afternoon, and I easily found parking close to the door. It was relatively empty with about 7 other customers so there were plenty of machines available. The room was well lit with florescent lighting and large windows, but it slightly warm because of the dryers, and I'm pretty sure there isn't AC. There were also a significant number of flies swarming around the trash cans. The facilities feature some arcade games, plenty of tables and chairs, a change machine for quarters, a soda vending machine, and laundry detergent vending machine. There is also a gas station across the parking lot if you needed something else. I'll admit I didn't try out the game machine because I brought a book to read, but I'm pretty sure it was a Pac-man game. It was easy for me to find open machines to use. The washers available that I saw were high energy efficient front loading washers, and apparently, detergents designed for those machines work best. I simply used whatever I had, and my clothes were clean. It was $2.00 to wash, and $2.25 for the super wash, which offered a few extra minutes of washing time. For a normal wash, it took about 36 minutes. The dryers were mostly free, although one girl overstuffed her dryers so much they would pop open, and her clothes would tumble out the dryer. I think quarters bought 12 minutes drying time, and dimes bought 4 minutes. I don't have a lot of clothes so I easily dried 5 pairs of jeans in one dryer for 28 minutes, and half a load of shirts and underwear for 20 minutes. There are folding tables conveniently located close to the dryers. Some people felt safe enough turning on the dryers and leaving their clothes including the girl who's laundry kept tumbling out of the dryers. My clothes aren't particularly valuable, but I like having clothes to wear. To each to their own. I would definitely come back here again to do laundry. read more

I use laundromats all over town because I travel around central Columbus for work so I go wherever my day ends. I have used this laundromat a handful of times. It's usually pretty clean, free WiFi, I've never had any damage to my clothing, and there usually isn't much traffic in and out. However, it is the end of August today and it's 90 degrees outside and they have no air conditioning running, the doors are propped open and it is hot as heck inside. Not cool. read more

The washers and dryers are the most filthy washers and dryers I have ever seen. With the closing up the uber-clean Campus Laundry on High and King, I was forced to relive my Campus days and come back to Clean As A Whistle, which is more disgusting than ever. The reason this matters? When I pull my "clean" clothes out they are covered in powdered detergent from previous patrons' washes. Which is pretty gnarly. Especially since I personally haven't used powdered detergent since I was 18. The other reason this matters? Because you are now one of the only laundromats around. Step up your game. Ok so I have been a regular customer here for a good six months and have always loved it. Free wifi, reasonably priced washers and dryers. Can't ask much more of a laundromat. That being said, I had to do my laundry late one night because I got off work late and had to work early in the morning. They have a sign posted that says "last load in by 10pm" and my last load was in by 9:30, but their change machines weren't working and by the time I got change for the washer it was 10:01. That's when a washer that costs $2.25 normally shot up to $9.75. I didn't have a choice because I had already added the detergent and all of my work clothes were in there. Needless to say I was infuriated and if I had a choice I would not give them any more business. read more

When I lived in the university area quite a while ago, I remember always having a pleasant experience at these laundromats. I also remember how friendly and personable the owner was. I am in a situation now when my house dryer is broken and I have to return to my "old stomping grounds" at OSU and dry my laundry at his laundromat. Even ten years later, he is still friendly and remembers the times when we used to converse. If anyone has a problem with his machines, his contact information is posted and he is very eager to make things right. I have seen some harsh reviews on here and I wonder if people first went to the source before blasting him on the internet. He is top-notch in customer service and very interested in helping meet your needs. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went here to use a large washer to wash my comforter, but the washer did not spin it out therefore I was left with a comforter that was so water logged I could not put it in the dryer. I have tried to contact management SEVERAL times with no response. I will have to take my comforter elsewhere to ensure it is not ruined, but I will be filing complaints with the BBB. read more
