I had been up there to clean them in the past and pounded in the nails ... but they still came out by the action of the sun on warm days. I was afraid to do much more as the roof was very high and hanging over the edge is worrisome. When Paul's people came to clean the gutters, they noticed the nails coming out also ... and replaced the nails with bolts (much more effective). When I reached out to Luis the owner, he became defensive and said he had proof that my roof was already damaged...if so, why would they continue to wash on a damaged roof?! We had pictures of our roof from when we purchased the house and even the roofing company that came out after the wash said it was due to the power wash. We found broken tiles on the ground and when my husband showed it to the worker that was sent, he just shrugged. I asked for the company insurance name to submit a claim but he refused to give me the information (lesson learned), I should have asked for the insurance information before they started in the job. We have had to pay $1600 in roof repairs and the rugs are left damaged.

WHEN A GIANT TREE HAS FALLEN ON YOUR HOME, AND YOU ARE FEELING OVERWHELMED, CALL MONTEREY BAY…read moreSOLUTIONS! Fortunately, our Carpet Cleaner alerted me to the fact that my dealing directly with our Insurance on a Claim meant that I better make sure that I was able to identify all of the damage to be included in the Claim. He recommended that I call MONTEREY BAY SOLUTIONS (MBS) in before I went much further. The BEST recommendation I've had in a long time. Monterey Bay Solutions came in, and efficiently used their state-of-the-art Infrared equipment to identify HIDDEN WATER BETWEEN THE WALLS. We knew that the giant PINE TREE branch had fallen through the roof & attic, and was sticking into the Master Bedroom. But, the CAL FIRE firemen were there in minutes,, securing the roof, pulling out the branch sticking through the roof, and otherwise minimizing and capturing the rain water as it came into the bedroom. WHAT WE DID NOT KNOW was that the rain had gone between the walls. So, our timely call to MONTEREY BAY SOLUTIONS saved the day. We would have thought that we were clear of any water issues when the Cal Fire put a 30 gal tub down to catch that water, but Monterey Bay professionally documented all of the hidden water we would not have known was there, growing mold and other problems. MBS provided an exceptional Damage Remediation Plan for our Insurance, complete with INFRARED PHOTOS to document the damage by providing irrefutable proof by the vivid colors which indicated how bad it was. Then, they neatly and professionally cut the drywall open, placed their dryers and their Dehumidifiers near the areas needing to be dried out ! The Tenant told me that they were so effective that his bath towel that had been left in the bathroom shrank into a tiny ball once the moisture was all pulled out. But, the point was that, it is only with those machines that the areas between the walls would ever have dried as quickly as they did. I HATE TO THINK WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I HAD NOT CALLED MONTEREY BAY SOLUTIONS TO THE RESCUE! Ismael came out the very next morning, ready to prepare a professional plan for our Insurance. If I had signed off on the house being "good as new," I would have regretted it. MBS both dried the damp areas, but they also applied an anti-bacterial product on the wood to make sure our sensitive family members were safe. I whole heartedly recommend MONTEREY BAY SOLUTIONS if you find your self with water damage. Or, if you simply want to use that expertise to clean your carpets!
