I have taken a few of my shoes to get stretched by CLD so it was a no brainer for me to take a pair of sneakers to get stretched as well. Vans sometimes can be a little snug when you first buy them and I just didn't want to go through the hassle of stretching them while wearing them. When I went back to pick them up, there was a tear in one of the shoes from the stretch. Not only did he refund my money from the tear but he went out of his way to find material to match the side of the shoe to sew on to cover the tear and of course sewed the strip to the other shoe as well. I can't say enough just how happy I am with the repair on my motorcycle boots. The Icon street boots/shoes that I've had for a long time but didn't wear much used plastic straps to secure the buckles and after a few years of not being used the plastic straps started to rot away and broke apart when I put them on. Jorge is such a great craftsman he rebuilt my boots with leather straps and they work and look great!! They look as if the leather straps were the way they came from the factory. WARNING: Obnoxious Attitude & Absurd Service. The owner, short male in his 50's with glasses is rude and needs to check his language. He suffers from a "Napoleon Complex" and is a chauvinist. Came in today to qualify the shop by getting pricing for a few repairs and also wanted to purchase some leather shoe cleaning and aftercare supplies. His exact response was "I cannot keep quoting prices all day, I have got better things to do." The prices quoted were inflated and not based on reason or logic even though shoe projects are generally evaluated on a case-by-case basis. This guy is a piece of work. Feel free to patron this place if you want to be treated like a Section 8 client with a government voucher. There are too many other Mom & Pop cobbler in the area for this unnecessary and pompous attitude. Horrible experience/ craftsmanship was poor Jordan's shoes vastly and he made them worthless don't even want to ware can go in trash expressed my disappointment but owner responded too bad that's what glue will do. Once glue was applied and he noticed it wasn't applicable he should've stopped and reached out to me and said we have an issue here give me the OK if you want to continue are I'm sorry I can't repair the shoes that would've been the preferable thing for him to do and the prettiest though very rude other item was a purse he didn't have the tag attached to my purse I have to give him a description of what the person is like therefore he could've gave me anybody's purse very irresponsible service I can't say enough I'm just extremely disappointed if you go to the shop you're taking a chance I really don't recommend craftsmanship a quality of work read more

One of my wife's heel tips came loose, went by about half and our before closing and he was able to fix it while we waited and he did it for free! The heel tip was still good so he didn't have to replace any parts but he still could have charged for the labor and we would have gladly paid. This guy is great! I am a ballroom dancer and my dance shoes need special soles. He knew exactly what I wanted when I first took the shoes in, I didn't have to explain. Then he recommended a particular way to deal with the heel. I was amazed with that heel treatment. (If you are not a ballroom dancer it would be hard to explain). It added a softer landing and extended the suede up the heel. Amazing! I trust him with all my shoes. He has always been friendly and willing to chat when I go in. I just picked up a pair of golf shoes that we took in to be cleaned, and a leather purse that needed an inside seam fixed, and cleaned. The guy working their was nice, but what a crappy job! Yeah, he fixed the rip, but now there's brown glue under the seam. It doesn't even zip correctly. And, he didn't clean it at all, inside or out. My husbands golf shoes were clean on the outside, but the bottom was still grassy, and the shoelaces, which needed cleaning also, we're stuck inside the shoes dirty. It was supposed to be done yesterday, so you'd think the extra day would've given them the opportunity to do a quality job. What a waste of 45 dollars read more

Needing to replace a worn heel on a favorite pair of shoes, a simple task. I stopped by CLD Shoe Clinic to told them that I just wanted the heels fixed, and he responded 'no problem and I'll shine them up also'. Paid the guy $20, and he told me to come back in a couple of days. I thought, that's fast, it usually takes 4-7 days at another place I used to go to. I gave the guy the ticket stub, he took them off a shelf, showed them to me and I was happy they looked good. Twenty bucks for repaired heels, a shine in two days, not bad. George is your shoes best friend!! He can fix, repair, resuscitate and generally spiff up any pair of shoes your bring him. Boots too. This is how good he is: I brought in a pair of 15 year old cowboy boots... not lame, but cool, black, boots that go great with jeans and that I wear about 2-3 times a week all winter (every winter for 15 years). I was wearing them and he whipped right into the back and rejuvenated them in a few minutes while I waited. They came back gorgeous. I said, "These look fantastic".. "guess how old they are". I've been going to him for years now, and everything he has worked on from shoes to purses, he makes them like new-and most importantly, unnoticeable that they had been worked on and altered. I always went to him for my shoes, but last time I had a marc jacobs clutch that didn't come with a strap. I wanted to use it as a shoulder bag and had him put a tab on it. It turns out this purse is an off purple (not an easy to find color), and i was willing to settle with a black tab to make it functional. Instead he found a purple, and you can't tell I didn't buy the purse this way. With his work, I know it's gonna be stronger than the manufacturer's. read more

He made them turn into Cinderella ready for the ball! The leather was nice and shiny, brand new heels and sole and he rebuilt the woodwork of the heel as well and varnished it! Incredible!! (Fresh off my lunch break): George at CLD Shoe Clinic just repaired my 3 year old shoes and made them look practically brand new. There's one or two permanent scuffs, but no worry, I feel and see new shoes. Walked in here after grabbing some food not knowing what to expect. I showed George that the heels of my dress shoes were in serious need of some repair (let's just say my knees and back were tingly) and he offered to fix them on the spot for $20, so took them off, plopped down on a chair, and let him work his magic. About 20-30 minutes later, on go the new shoes (with new laces as well - additional $2) and they feel like magic. If you have shoes you love that are repairable, I would come here for an economical way to get new shoes (at least make them look that way). read more

This person should get GOLD MEDAL in providing the s*******t customer experience ever possible. For the way he deals with customer it is a surprise how he is still getting business. I went to the shop to drop of shoes for repair. He mentioned advance payment (his demeanor was not pleasant to begin with). Advance payment is not unusual, and I have paid in advance many times before. While handing my card I asked "what if I am not satisfied with the end product"? "why would you not be satisfied"? (His stance became very aggressive) "It is a repair not a new product, why would you not be satisfied?" He started looking for what turns out to be the square dongle and repeated this line 3-4 times. And then he uttered his best line "This is life". That was too much for me, he had my card in square, about to swipe, and I yelled in his face "STOP". I drop off my shoe for a repair. He tells me he can re-sew it & have it done by 5pm. Makes me pay for it ahead of time. I come back at 5, it's not done, he tells me to come back in half an hour, or I can also take my shoe and leave. I say I'll wait. It doesn't look like he sewed it, looks like he just glued it.
