Liked the hotel, liked the location; hated the service.
I got a nice room with a bath and shower, and it was a good sized room, within 3 hours of checkin, when I went to get a shower on my first day, first I noticed that the mirror light did not work, then I turned the shower water on and started to shave at the sink, within a minute, I hopped in the shower, and look down and the water is high, and as I notice this, it hits the tipping point and starts spilling over into the room. I quickly with soap all over me try to figure out what to do, I check the drain, pull the lid off, doesn't look like anything is in there...eventually shutting off the water with soap still on me, then scrambled to dry up the room full of water. I put all the towels down and have to call for more towels, and luckily have a tub too that I can wash off with. Finding that my laundry bag was one of the items that got drenched with all my dirty laundry. :/ I proceed to call the manager to let them know. It seems he doesn't believe me and says he will come up personally to look. I let him look and he too determines that it is NOT draining. Seeing water all over the room and all the drenched towels in a pile in the room, he then suggests that he will get a plunger and fix it!!!!!
I said, no...I want a new room. He sort of huffs out like he was not happy about this. 15 min later he calls and tells me I can bring my stuff down and he'll give me a new key to my next room.
What kind of hotel doesn't offer to move your stuff for you when something like this happens??? So I pack up all my stuff and carry my wet laundry bag and head to the front desk. Get my new key and head to my new room, which I find is half the size of my original room, smaller bed, half as small bathroom, and no where near as nice. Very frustrating that it seems I got "punished" with a less quality room after dealing with this fiasco.
The only good part is the bathroom mirror light worked in the new room.
Aside from that it would have been a nice hotel, but I can't overlook bad service...from the manager none the less. read more
