That is where membership has its privileges, and I highly encourage joining this club. The services provided (from classes, gunsmithing, and ammo discounts to free FFL services) will probably pay for your annual membership. During member only hours, the range is not over run and the facilities are fantastic (world class). The staff is helpful and friendly, as are the other members. The events that the club holds are pretty awesome. So if you have had a bad experience there, I encourage you to go with a member as a guest and you'll find that this range is the best in the area.

We tried out a couple of different handguns and they both were able to speak to the specifics of each and made recommendations based on what we were looking for. We also spent time at the gun counter speaking with two other employees, one about guns and one about sites, and they too were extremely friendly, patient, knowledgeable and helpful. I called Jim's about pickup and was told I couldn't pickup the rifle because I had to wait 24-48 hours for them to process the it. That's absolutely ridiculous. since every other FFL dealer calls within a couple of hours for pickup. The best FFL dealer is Jerys pawn which calls you within an hour. Unfortunately Jim's was the only dealer the gun manufacturer had on file based on where I live.

They have a pistol range, a rifle range, and trap and skeet shooting as well. The office area is clean and so are the bathrooms. All ranges are at least 75yds, over 3 separate ranges with multiple lanes, target stands for paper targets and steel to shoot at also. Range officers are multi-year military and law enforcement personnel, very conscientious of what is going on on the ranges and people attending the ranges. Not to mention they have great experience in multiple firearms and willing to help in improving your shooting if you ask. A Real-Life Lesson in Racism at Harrison Creek Gun Club…read more Our visit to Harrison Creek Gun Club was supposed to be a joyful celebration of new life--a family gathering to honor my brother. Instead, we were met with hostility, disrespect, and a disturbing reminder that racism is alive and well in some corners of this country. From the moment we arrived, we were not given any forms to complete--just told to hand over $20 in cash per adult. No rules. No guidelines. Just money exchanged and a dismissive welcome. Within 30 minutes, one of the owners--who, along with his partner, carried a heavy "good ol' boy" energy--approached our group multiple times, each time delivering information he should've shared at the very beginning. When I calmly asked why we weren't told this upfront and if there was anything else we needed to know before he interrupted us again, he completely lost his composure. His response? In front of my 9yr old nephew and 12yr old son, he screamed, "If you mess up again, get the F@#k out!" My 12-year-old turned to me and asked, "Dad, is this what racism feels like?" With pain in my heart and fire in my chest, I had to tell him, "Yes, son. Unfortunately, it is." We left shaken but not silenced. If there's one thing Harrison Creek Gun Club did well, it was give our sons a real-life lesson in how to recognize racism--and rise above it. To any families considering a visit: be warned. This place may call itself a gun club, but what it truly fires off is ignorance and intolerance.

Bring your own paper, Target stands, benches and shooting tables are provided. My first thought was to keep this gem to myself. But as this is a public facility and headcount and usage should matter to my thinking more is better. More people learning, and practicing, and enjoying... I was there mid day of a beautiful Saturday 5/7/2016. No one was shooting clays so I tried skeet and learned to drawl for the self activator. There 6 of 8 lanes shooting pistol and 8 of 8 rifle tables being shot. No one was waiting and it seemed busy enough but not with lines or crowds. Surprising for such a pretty day to be out!
