My boyfriend brought me here for a day date and it was pretty cool. It's right off the road so you can't miss it and they have plenty of parking. It's an indoor range with about 9 bays possibly. There was a waiting list so be prepared. We waited maybe 30min, but once checked in the process was easy. You can rent or bring your own weapon w/ bullets. Plenty of targets to choose from. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and my kind of people - that is they are pro 2 A and usually have military or law enforcement experience. Good selection of firearms. A couple of the reps were friendly and great to deal with. One gent was not that great. I have to start by saying I was planning on "buying" before i walked in, if the firearm I was looking for was available in the shop. First of all I asked if I could dry fire after a safety check and was told yes by one of the friendly gents. It was busy and the rep got pulled away. Another gent stood by at a distance and I asked if I could break down the gun. Mind you it was a simple Glock type striker fired pistol. It takes a total of 20 seconds to take down and re-assemble. This was a first gen gun and I wanted to see if any of the issues reported were taken care of by the manufacturer. Dude said "absolutely not". So I pitched him a couple of questions to kind of "de-ice" him. The only answers I got were along the line of "I carry .357 snubby..yadda, yadda. Thanks to the 2 guys that assisted me. For the .357 guy I hope you cheer up. Not everyone who walks in to the store is a "tire kicker". And if they are planning on dropping 6 or 700$ they may want to look "under the hood". Anyway if it's store policy that's ok too I just didn't see any signage saying so. read more

I came in to sell some old hunting rifles and shotguns that I no longer used. The first guy I talked to was low balling me by a very large margin. He grabbed an older gentleman that was the manager for that shift I guess and the older guy was giving me fair offers. I was happy with that deal. We shook on it and he let the younger guy cash me out. They younger guy rung me up on his lowballed price!!! He then proceeded to tell me that the deal included the cases I brought the guns in with!! He made excuses like my weapon was dangerous to shoot. All I did was refinish the stock! The older guy said it was fine too lol. All in all, I sold my guns and cases for the price of the cases, so these guys got 4 free guns from me. I didn't use the guns and didn't want them, but I used this as a learning experience. Never even knew about this place but it is worth the day trip! Hot days on the range are not fun when you are sweating.

GUNSMITHING: I had brought in an AR-15 to be assembled by their resident gunsmith. Included in the build was a superlative arms adjustable gas block. They returned me a non functioning rifle, without conducting a test to ensure it can even cycle (very dangerous as by design this was for home defense). I brought it back to be fixed and they blamed the gasblock, and then installed a $45 gasblock THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR, even though their smith couldn't figure it out. Unless you are going for a milspec build or just need a muzzle device installed, don't use them. SHOOTING LANES: Anything beyond controlled pairs is "unsafe". Long wait times. Lots of inconsiderate customers with mega brakes on shorties blowing your ears out on an indoor range. PRODUCTS: Just order parts and attachments online. Pricing is not competitive, it's not uncommon to see an optic or gun part that is $20-$50 written up. Not worth it if you could save that and wait 3-5 days on a mail in order. In summary: not coming to this store again. Staff is polite and knowledgeable to a degree but taking into consideration the ineptitudes displayed, it's clear they're not an option for me anymore. read more

Has a ton of parts but charge around 30-40% of market price to cover "overhead". Not very good at establishing rapport with returning customers. Will lead you in the right direction as long as it profits them (won't recommend other shops where you may find parts for cheaper). Highly recommend looking towards some of the pawn shops around town that are smaller business but care about their clientele (quick money pawn, Rhudy's pawn shop, shooters supply, ace pawn shop, etc). It was early December 2019 and I was a few glasses of Pinot Noir deep and I accidentally made the mistake of telling my husband he could get a new AR-15 for his birthday which was coming up in a week or so. I was almost dragged out of our house to the nearest place to "go look" even though this man had already picked out the model and type and had a secret stash of attachments stored up in the office which unbeknownst to me he has been referring to as the "Gun Room." So anyways, we head on down and the shop is well stocked with a variety of guns, equipment, ammo, safety stuff and also some patches and clothing items from their shop and other popular brands. They also have coffee!! We obviously ended up purchasing the gun that day cause my husband looked like a kid who got his puppy taken away when I told the guy behind the counter we were just looking. The whole process was super smooth and the staff is knowledgeable and really knows their stuff!! So anyways, the coolest part to me is they had a fully operational indoor range in the back with rentals, and women shoot free on Wednesdays. They have lots of events, gun lockers, raffles and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Very bad service and would not recommend this place. I tried helping a small shop instead of a bigger commercial shop by bringing my business to them . I order a gun from the website to have them deliver to gun plus . I called the day it got delivered and they told me to call back in a day to get it checked in. So I called five days later and got an attitude about it having to be processed and that they would call me back. They guy sounded like an ass____. So I waited another week to call them again. They finally told me they had it so I went to pick it up. They told me that they couldn't reach me and that it's been sitting there a long time even though I called them twice. Well we start to do the transfer and the guy said that they changed the answers to the questions asked and I accidentally marked one wrong for not wearing my glasses , so they decided to cancel the transfer and told me they were going to send it back to the sender. All this time waiting on them and getting attitude from them and now this!!! Just go to a better shop . This business shop stinks big time. Extremely unimpressed. The first time I walked into the store, I was immediately met the condescending attitude from all three of the employees that were present. I attempted to check prices and availability of a Sig P938. I was told they didn't have it, but could order it and it would arrive in about a month. I told the employee no thank you, at which point he proceeded to attempt to sell me a layaway or payment plan for over 10 minutes until I finally walked away (after politely telling him I wasn't interested in either at least 5 times). I have been in the store 6 times since then and I have been lucky enough to see their horrible offensive condescending attitude each time--either directed at me or another customer. The simple fact that they offer and push the layaway and payment plans so hard combined with the fact that they also fix jewelry puts them squarely in the realm of an overpriced pawnshop that happens to sell new guns. Their cheap car salesmen! Go elsewhere. I would highly recommend Ed's guns as they have great service and amazing prices. Been there half a dozen times since I moved from NY in the past year. I'm more an archer but since my brother is more a firearm user I purchased one from another store and we come here to shoot our toys. The staff here are straight, informative...they know their shit. Staffs busy most times we're there and they conduct their business and service their customers well. So there's no time to mingle and talk guns unless your purchasing. Questions are answered and they're very polite. You wanna mingle, make friends?....go to a bar. Only reason I gave them a 4 out of 5 rating is due to their higher prices. Drove 35 minutes after i had already called over the phone to ask about a barrel being cut and a device being welded on and how much it would cost. Was told in a very short and rude tone that i needed to come in and speak to the gun smith about what i wanted done. I drove 35 minutes and when i get there they tell me that they cannot even cut barrels there and whoever i spoke to over the phone was incorrect and should not have said that. This Gun range/store has great employees, their customer service skills are exemplary, the collective knowledge of the staff about the weapons and accessories in the shop is excellent. I recommend this shop to first time shooters, and experienced shooters, I've even brought my sister with me to the shop. They are Military/Veteran Friendly, it's not a hey buy this or get out type of business, if you happen to make a purchase they will ensure that you will get the best value for your dollar. I liked this placed when I first walked in. But, the staff are kind of "I can't believe I'm this awesome" I wanted to order a Glock 34, well I did. The guy tells me it will be in, in a week. So, after the week I call them up and ask if my gun came in. He says it's going to be a month. Because of a police order had to be filled first. I call around and found one at Colfax Firearms, for $30 cheaper. I go back to Guns Plus to get my cash back, and the guy says no can do. I said, you told me it would be in, in a week. And it's not and then you told me it would be a month before it comes in. Come to find out they never even ordered it! I got my cash back and bought the Glock 34 the same day $30 cheaper. The range is pretty good, but they would only let me purchase 1 box of ammo for my 9mm. My friend had a 1911 I wanted to shoot also, they wouldn't let me buy a box of .45's unless I rented one of theirs. WTH! I will go back, just to use the range. And take plenty of ammo because their prices are to expensive. read more

Terrible service. Literally ignored so employees could brag about how awesome they are. I was accused of shooting the target system at the range as a reason why the targeting system went down. Been in SF for 9 years. Wouldn't do that. If you want extremely overpriced accessories, guns, ammo, and, range time, go to Guns Plus. Bernard is the only guy there with a great attitude.
