My wife and I went to Guns Plus looking for a specific handgun that nobody else carried in town. I had my 10 yr old daughter with us who is a little curious about handguns. Not only did they help me find the gun I was looking for but they were very personable with my little girl. They're prices are higher then others around town, but because of their attention to my family and their kindness towards my little girl, I'll definitely be going back. Better places to purchase weapons and ammo. The store charges so much more than their competitors is incredible. Most of the guys want to make the business work and compete with competition prices, but if Martin is there you best leave, that guy watches all dealings like a hawk and makes sure they charge the highest price possible. Recently purchased a red dot sight from this location. Tried to return it less than 2 weeks later with receipt and they would not accept. The product wasn't used. After being questioned over and over again as to why I didn't want this specific sight. I politely asked if I could have a store credit and they said absolutely not. Come to find out the same exact sight is on Amazon for $100 less. Never going back. read more

Customer service is terrible, the counter assistants are rude!! They need a staff makeover. I called today to ask about pricing on a gun, I was told I would need to come look, I asked for a specific model of rifle. I refuse to drive 30 miles to look at a rack, when the guy who answered the phone could walk his lazy self out and see if it was in stock. Some employees are very helpful and knowledgable while others act like they are gods gift to firearms and talk down to you. The range is very nice and the prices are very reasonable. The firearms however are a bit over priced. I prefer them over Jim's pawn only because its not as crowded. read more

The indoor range was awesome, the ammo was reasonable priced and the man giving the range safety brief was short and to the point. The sales guys behind the counter knew what they were talking about and were very professional. Maybe I just caught the gunsmith on a bad day, but to replace my AR15 gas block he scuffed up the new one, and "forgot" to give me my scope back, and was unprofessional and did not inspire confidence in his skills or craft. Do yourself a favor and NEVER step foot in this overpriced hole in the wall. The employees are incredibly rude, very full of themselves, and just plain unhelpful. The old man that did finally grudgingly offer to assist me acted like he was doing me a favor by selling me a gun. this place was awful! the workers there are very lazy! they don't want to do their jobs at all. My friends and I were there today and the employee decided to put us all on the SAME tab, then at the end he wanted us to just divide the tab into three ways...which is unfair because we all purchased different things at different prices. The staff are a bunch of jabronies that act pretentious, but do not have the credentials to back it up; they might as well greet you at the door saying, "we don't like to make money here." Wish I could leave zero stars. I was referred to this business. I am very unimpressed at first when you walk in the door they make you feel very welcome and safe being a woman living in Fayetteville I took the time to take a few classes to educate myself on self-defense and weapons and that's why I sought out Guns Plus. So I decided to put a weapon on layaway made a few payments on it. Lost my job so I was unemployed. Called a few months after the six-month layaway period to discuss my options. The gentleman I spoke with stated that my layaway was still in order and I could just return to make payments whenever That's perfect I said. So then when I call today to make payment arrangements my gun is already been sold and was already sold before I called. I spoke with a manager and he stated that since I did not make contact (which in fact I did) that there was nothing they could do and that my layaway was forfeited and that there was nothing. I spent quite a bit of money on this weapon and they could've at least added my payments up and put it towards another weapon I will not do business with this company they are a rip off. read more

Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. Their prices are high and the staff are aren't necessarily top notch. I think they make a lot of money off the military base, basically ripping soldiers off on the daily. I personally got ripped off by them and called them about it. They didn't care one bit. All he could say is "I'd be hard pressed to find a shop around here that has a better price" and "what do you want me to do about it?" So I googled another store (I know, should've done that in the first place), first one I call has the gun for exactly 10% less. Do yourself a favor and research other shops. WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS!!!!! Extremely overpriced, unbelievably rude, and absolutely not worth your time. They have an "indoor range" that only goes to 75 feet (!) in case you want to zero your slingshot but yet they still act like they're the only gun shop in town. I wish I'd learned my lesson sooner but, unfortunately, I fell victim to them when I bought an HK MP5 from them on my first visit. Several months later, I decided the MP5 wasn't for me and I wanted to sell it back to them. The gun was BRAND NEW, IN THE BOX, but they only wanted to give me 20% of what I had just paid for it. Their excuse? It's just not worth more than that. WHAT A BUNCH OF A-HOLES!!!!! Don't throw your money away. Go ELSEWHERE. read more

I have gone to Guns Plus three times - finally decided to add a review. I like the selection of guns in the store - they have a great selection of new and rental guns. I've used their gunsmith to install sights on two guns - no issues at all and both times they were done (no scratches) within 20 minutes. The salesmen are good - just have to pull them away from regulars who wish to chat away about the old days on Fort Bragg. I've been on the range all three times and the cost and condition were spot on. I'm glad they limit the lanes to 2 people - keep the kiddos from crowding. Lighting and circulation was good - even though I had a guy with an AK on one side of me and a M4 two lanes down...I added two layers of ear pro because of that. I wish it had more lanes - one side could be handgun centric while the other allowed long guns. Overall, a good experience. Only feedback is it is a bit cluttered with display cases and regulars tend to hog the workers. Thanks - will return soon. read more

Prices are crazy high but they try to make it seem like they are helping the military by offering a 10%.... They also know very little about WWII firearms but try to make it appear that they are experts. Tried to buy an M1 carbine but they couldn't figure out the difference between WWII M1 carbines and auto ordinance reproductions but tried to convince me that they were produced back in WWII. My dad transferred two pistols from my home state to NC and I picked them up from Guns Plus. I was hesitant to work with the employees based on others' reviews, but I had absolutely no issues getting along with everyone working there. The employees seem to have that dry sarcasm down, which is my favorite. I can see how their humor might rub customers the wrong way, especially if you don't understand dry sarcasm. Overall, excellent service for out-of-state pistol transfers. I will be checking out that indoor range soon and I'm looking forward to talking with the employees again. read more

I usually go window gun shopping on the weekends and one day I stopped at Guns Plus. I've been going there for years and although they have a very good selection of firearms, their prices are high so I said to myself, "I'll never buy a gun from there." Never say never because that day I was there, I found a 1911 45acp I wanted and whose price was very competitive​ with online gun stores when figuring in the shipping and transfer fee. I had the sales guy show me the firearm and he was very polite and respectful. I put 50% down on the gun and then later that day, I came back and got it out of layaway. The salesperson​ who sold me the gun must have left for the day and the guy I dealt with was just as polite and respectful to me. I recommend Guns Plus to anyone looking for a new firearm​. Beware some of the gun prices are high and if you take your time, you may find what you're looking for at a comparable price​ to what online gun stores offer. I forgot to mention, I had a Mossberg 500 with a Magpul forend and I wanted the Mossberg OEM heatshield installed and they did the install for me at a very reasonable price. Better places to do business. I don't know if the owner and employees realize they are not the only place to purchase a firearm. They have been rude and gave me the run around. My wife purchased a handgun for me as a Christmas present. The gun was used, spring was worn out, night sights would not work. Long list. I took the gun back and made them aware of the problems and the gun was not safe. They stated could not do anything because they had already sent the paper work into ATF. After a heated argument I was forced to purchase another gun. The manager turned around and pulled my paperwork out of the box. He had lied about processing. Decided to give them a second chance a few years later. left my weapon for a dura-coat job. Six months later still did not have it back. Was quoted 30 day turn around. Endless trips, and phone calls just to get an excuse. Employee problems, busy setting up another store, bad dura coat, humidity taking longer to dry. Finally, got it back. I understand things happen, but you take care of the customer. Could have offered a discount or even free range time. Something to keep my business. I took the gun to the range couple weeks later, jams. I finally took it to another gun smith and had the issues corrected. read more

My dealings with Guns Plus have not been bad per say. Most of the staff I have dealt with has been nice, but then again.. I have only dealt with a few. My problem with Guns Plus is they seem to hold onto being on a TV show, and their prices reflect it. The merchandise is fine, and what they don't have they can get a hold of. And the biggest issue is the price gouge on ammo. I went to Jim's, Shooters, Gander, and Jerry's looking for 9mm ammo, normal price is about $25 for a box of 50. Guns Plus was the only one that had ammo, and they were charging $35! That's how much my .45 ammo goes for. Then I went to Durham on business and found a gunsmith shop that sold me a box of 100 for $42... Range is nice, and the guy normally running the range is really nice and has been helpful in working with my wife when she goes to the range. I hear alot about how nasty the service is, and I have not had that issue. They will continue to get some of my business (Range, accessories..) but unless they come off prices I won't purchase ammo or weapons from there. read more
