I am applying for a loan and ran into tax questions I could not answer on my own . The IRS is so backlogged that I wasn't able to access their website . I was so fortunate to have found this place . The moment I stepped thru the door I was greeted with a smile . I had an appointment with a tax advisor in no time . Now I will tell you the rest of the story . My tax advisor was Donna Smith . She has been with Block Associates for a long time and is the most knowledgeable tax person I have met . She is also the most caring . She was able to answer my tax questions , they were not at all simple and took a lot of hard work and time to solve . When I left , with my needed papers in hand , I felt like i had been blessed to have found such an intelligent and diligent professional . I recommend Donna Smith and Block Advisors on Huffman to small businesses and individuals looking for advice on their taxes.

Long story short, I got some helpful information here, but because of H&R Block's outrageous filing fees, I ended up filing myself online. The woman I talked to was a bit strange (I felt more like I was seeing a fortune teller than a tax advisor), but she was generally able to answer my questions. Unlike the previous H&R Block employee I saw, she went through the filing process with me and told me how she got the numbers. And then she informed me if she were to file for me now, I'd be paying a total of about $300, which is ridiculous. Especially consider I could use H&R Block's online software to file for free, which is what I did. So, overall, this is a decent place if you need some guidance or have tax questions. But there's no way in hell I'm giving them my money so they can help the federal government take even more of my money. They already get enough out of me with student loans as it is. Note that this location is separate from the other H&R Block location on Huffman Road. This one is in a building near the Huffman Post Office.

Now we are in March of 2017 and we are STILL not caught up. I have given them all of the information they have asked for, answered all of their questions, checked in frequently, and still, my account is too confusing for them. I run a Vacation Rental Management Business. If you can do accounting for a hotel, you can do accounting for my business. WHY cant they get caught up? Oh according to them its MY fault because I'm not organized enough..... Isn't that what I went to them for? To help me stay caught up and organized? Did I not answer all of their questions and give them EVERY document they ever asked me for, RIGHT when they asked me for it? I DID! I would not recommend using them, let them screw up on a few more peoples accounts before testing them out. They obviously need more practice.
