They (Eric) came in after hours to take care of my dogs who had flees and worked on both till late at night

2.5 stars is Generous for this low life establishment. Do not walk.. RUN from these people. GM called my wife at 730pm last night. Said a groomer would be out for a funeral and the other groomer would do both dogs and asked if we can be there at 8:30a. We woke got there as requested... the groomer.. said I have to go to the ER.... sorry... An hour later I drive by and it is open.. so I go in and talk to the RUDE GM Lance.... I said I was here as requested at 830am and you are grooming a cat and another person is washing a dog and my dogs who had the first appointment for the day and we were not contacted to bring them in. Then excuse after excuse with a condescending attitude.... RENEE KLEIN is the Owner... I need to talk to you Ms. Klein! This is a horribly run business and should be closed down.. A MINUS 1 is the actual deserved rating.... BOYCOTT this place and its rude employees. read more

Fantastic service and really friendly! Took my little guy here today for the first time because my vet's office currently has no groomers on staff. He's a little skittish and the vet groomers always had issues (claimed he was aggressive, bites, etc). Lance said he was really well behaved the entire time and they had no issues with him at all. Cooper looks great and wasn't stressed out or scared when I came to get him. We'll definitely be coming back! read more

We were very happy customers of Shear Delight in Warren but sadly and VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY handled , they closed their doors due to the owners health condition. I found out when I brought my dogs for their appointment and read the signs on the door. There was a flyer on the door saying that Claws and Paws was happy to help us Shear Delight customers that were left stranded with overgrown dogs. I called them immediately ( while still in Shear Delights parking lot.) Lance ( the manager at Claws and Paws ) was very helpful and understanding of the situation and was able to schedule both my dogs a week later. I did receive a text reminder and a phone call from Lance the night before our appointment asking me to call him. He stated that one of the groomers had a funeral and there would only he one groomer to handle both our dogs. He suggested we arrive earlier than our 9am appt so the remaining groomer could get a head start and stay ahead of the game. So far, we were impressed with the communication at Claws and Paws and thought maybe this would be our pups new grooming home. Claws and Paws is more money than Shear Delight but as my husband said, it's worth paying more if we are getting good customer service. We wake up early on a Saturday morning to arrive almost 30 mins ahead of schedule taking Lance's advice. THIS IS THE END OF OUR GOOD EXPERIENCE. We walk in . Ugh! My first reaction is the god awful stench of stinky dirty dog smell I'm greeted with. Ok, I get it. You're dealing w dirty dogs. But do something about the smell. I never had this experience before at other groomers thru the years. Next, our groomer is on the phone, hangs up and states she has to leave immediately to go to emergency cause she's not feeling right and maybe it's her heart. Then she states she could accommodate us on Tuesday?? What?? If indeed you are having heart issues, how can you accommodate me on Tuesday? You don't know that , right? HERES THE WORST PART: Less than an hour later, my husband drives by the business enroute to running errands, sees the OPEN sign on , 3 cars in the lot and walks in and sees 2 other animals being worked on. Why aren't our dogs being worked on? Why, after knowing what happened to us at Shear Delight the prior week, YOU GUYS PULL THE EXACT SAME THING ON US ? Then Lance leaves a message saying there's nothing he can do ? He has No groomers there? Well there were 2 animals getting worked on less than an hour after our appt??? My husband expressed his dismay to Lance was treated condensendingly to put it mildly. My husband asked for a number to contact the owner . Lance responded that there was 4 owners. Ok! Then that should be really easy! Give him one of the 4 owner numbers! Lance said he'd have someone call him. And let my husband know about his lack of understanding AGAIN in a condensending way. This place is a sh*t hole and they don't know what they're doing. It's been two years (right after this weird old man bought the place) we brought in my Australian shepherd and they ruined her cost, don't come here with any dog but especially with a double layer coat because they have no idea what a trim is for those breeds and will use clippers that take the coat down way to far. Honestly if there was some type of legal action I could take for RUINING the cost of a dog i planned on entering in shows and cannot now I would. 1 star is too high and also all the animals I saw here look absolutely terrified when in their care. read more

We have been going to this pet salon for 4 years. We will NEVER return. And please read to find out why.... Our Toy American Eskie was groomed here. She was always fearful to go and unhappy. The last time we took her in April, 2018, she came home with a different behavior pattern. She was nearly 14 years old, but after this groom she would not allow her leash to be put on or get in the car. She would become very aggressive. Even with medication to calm her, she would not allow a leash, even for a walk, which she loved. She was active, healthy, ate well, and a wonderful dog. When we took her to the vet, they questioned if she may have fallen from a table at grooming. I called and of course they said not. Since dogs can't talk, we never will know. End of this story is that our beloved pet had to be put down. We will never really know why, but will wonder what made the change that day. We then brought a Maltese into our home...6 pounds full grown. Today I took him for his first professional cut at 6.5 months. The complimented me on his cleanliness, grooming, and no tangles. They had quoted me when we got him $40. Today they told me $45. I told them to cut his face short..no mustache. However, I wanted the body like a Maltese...long and silky..about 1 inch cut off only. Just a good short face and butt. She said back to me "So fluffy?" I said, "Yes" Not short like you did our other dog. I want the length. My husband picked him up and I cried when I saw him. They cut all his fur off and gave him a short poodle cut. His hair is less than 1/2 inch long all over his body. He has a mustache. I called them and she got nasty with me. I was calm until she started to yell at me and say some degrading remarks and became a bully. Then I found out she took another $5 cash from my husband charging $50 for a quoted $40. And he was clean as I bathe him every 3 week, brush and comb every other day and he does not go outside at all..he is pad trained. I am done, finished, and complete with this place. It is the most horrible place I have ever experienced. I should have known better when I had doubts about my first beloved dog. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They say "Listen to your heart". And so I will. Not going back and I only hope this will help others to be careful. read more

This groomer injured a puppy and sent him home with a bandana covering stitches, they were placed by them not a vet, and did not notify the owner. The owner found the stitches once that got them home on a holiday weekend. They are not answering the phone or email messages. They are unethical and unprofessional. read more

Everyone is so friendly there. They took great care of my baby Bella. She is a Yorkshire terrier 3 month old with very matted fur, and they were able to give her a great hair cut to grow new hair and even a cute little bow! read more

A few months back on FB someone on here mentioned Claws & Paws and how they did an awful job. I think that is because it's under new ownership. We always take our dogs and loved it when the previous owner was around. But yesterday we took the dogs and they did an awful job. My dog has little cuts on his booty and they did a total hack job. I don't like posting negative things especially when it comes to local businesses. But this was horrible and they raised the prices. For what I paid I could have taken to a fancy dog boutique. I contacted the owner and got no reply. read more

My 12 lb Shih-Poo, Cashew, has been going to Renee for a few months now. I'm sorry that Sharon C had such a horrible experience, but I've only had good experiences there. Whenever I pick her up she's always happy. You can always tell when something isn't right because of your dog's behavior, as our dogs are like our children. I've used many groomers throughout the Madison Heights area, and refused to go back to any of them for several reasons. But PetSmart was the absolute worse!! Whenever I'd drop her off, I could hear her crying all the way in the parking lot. When I'd pick her up from PetSmart, she'd jump on me, shaking and practically digging her claws into me so I wouldn't put her down. Unfortunately, I can't say what could have happened with Sharon's American Eskie, but I only have praise for Claws & Paws by Renee. If you read the Google reviews, others feel the same. read more
