I was there for two hours for a 3D extra, consult with the 'lead' nurse, met with the doctor, and decided to move forward with the snap-secure option. I called today in follow up to a message I received, and found out that a)the lead nurse I worked with was out for 10 days. b)when we reviewed my records on the call, I was designated economy plus dentures!! The regular, everyday take out at night dentures. That's not what I wanted. The problem was that said 'lead' nurse kept being pulled away to other patients by what I can only assume were new employees, got my choice mixed up and we were heading down the wrong treatment path. The call I received was a generic call, and they were still waiting for cardiologist response to proceed with the surgical extractions, etc. What a cluster. If you decide to go, make sure what they write down is exactly what you want! You'll be at the front desk paying your portion and find out after that they are not affiliated with the other practices that offer permanent implants. I will not recommend anyone to take a chance with this office, and don't plan to move forward with my treatment/care. Luckily, I am getting a refund of what I paid. But alas, the X-rays and casts they took are not available to have. Oh, the staff were friendly, if not a bit in the weeds during my visit.

I called yesterday to pay my 3rd payment and spoke with Olga the office manager who accused me of lying in regard to the payment arrangement. I don't remember the receptionist's name who I spoke with originally to make the payment arrangement. She said nobody here would do that, but they did. The girl I spoke with on the phone the two times before was kind and professional, Olga was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. She said there was an account note that I called prior and I was very upset. I have NEVER called upset or mean in anyway. The only thing I did was when calling to make a second payment, I questioned why I received a collection threat letter after I had already made a payment arrangement with the office. I was in no way, shape, or form upset in anyway--even though the letter I received was very aggressive and abrasive. I have worked in the dental admin field for 15 years and managed two offices and would never speak to a patient like she did with me. She was laughing and being so nasty. And how stupid can you be to turn down money that a patient is trying to pay? Isn't $50 better than nothing? It would have been paid off by August, and honestly I probably would have just paid the balance off entirely next month, since it would have been less than $100 by then. She wouldn't take the $50 payment if I wasn't going to pay the $127 balance in full. Olga needs some more management training. The reason why he even had a balance in the first place was that we were misquoted on his treatment plan. Don't you verify benefits prior? We ended up owing $227(corrected) OVER what we were quoted. I like the doctors and other staff there but we will not be returning because Olga is absolutely miserable and awful. It's the principle of the matter, not about the money. Olga even said on the phone that they don't make payment arrangements even for patients that owe $1000. So you mean to tell me that when someone's insurance denies their claim and they have a huge balance that you won't allow them to make payments on it? In this day and time, that is a disgrace. Not everyone just has $800 or $1000 to give to you in one full payment. Shame on you! Also, I have referred many patients seeking a general dentist to this practice. The fact that I was treated this way when I was just trying to pay off our balance as discussed two months ago is diabolical.

Going in, I was hopeful for a good experience -- and Dr. Williams and her entire team exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, communicative, and genuinely caring. Even the associate who came in to review the cost of the procedure was delightful -- friendly, funny, and remarkably easy to work with. It immediately put me at ease. Bethany, the tech who stayed with me throughout the process, was outstanding. She explained everything clearly, reassured me at each step, and kept me distracted in a way that truly felt like having my own daughter there looking out for me. The extraction itself was far better than I anticipated. I'm sensitive to epinephrine in numbing agents, but Dr. Williams administered everything carefully so I never experienced the usual racing-heart feeling. The procedure was quick, not painful, and handled with exceptional skill. Dr. Williams talked me through each part of the process, and she and Bethany kept a warm, pleasant conversation going that made the whole experience surprisingly comfortable. They also provided clear after-care instructions -- both verbally and in writing -- and made sure I knew I could call with any questions. The level of communication, compassion, and professionalism was remarkable from start to finish. Given the circumstances, this was as positive of an experience as I could have hoped for. On November 15, 2022, I saw Dr. Danielle Williams for a consultation on my severe Torii situation…read more  She was kind and understanding.  They explained the procedure thoroughly and also the cost of the procedure.  On December 27, 2022 I had the procedure.  Dr. William and her staff are the most friendly, courteous, professionals with great senses of humor.  The experience was actually fantastic.  I did opt (and highly recommend) for the extended numbing agent that works for 2-3 days.  The headache following the procedure went away with sleep.   I did not need ANY of the pain medications at all!  Not even Tylenol.    The sutures were dissolvable, so there was not even the pain or stress of having sutures removed. Everything went perfectly and I was able to eat almost right away (soft things first, of course).  In 3 days I was back to normal. They even straightened my crooked smile!   I highly recommend Dr. Danielle Williams and her staff at Florida Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Carrollwood.     Sorry it took me so long to review, but I have other health issues.
