This review is based upon the numerous years in which my husband has been going here for his haircuts. As per a previous review, she does her thing with men's haircuts. Teni does a great job on his hair. My husband loves that she even trims his eyebrows. The price of her men's haircuts are less than what you would pay at a franchised salon. If you're a female that is accustomed to the shampoo, cut and blow dry, you'll need to let her know. Otherwise, she'll just spray water onto your hair and start cutting your hair without blow drying it after the cut. Teni is very personable. read more

Most stylist have cut my hair as trained, Teni actually explained why I need certain lengths in areas to keep hair from popping up (straight hair, ugh!). Did I have to wait my turn? Of course! But I love not having to wait for an appointment to finally come around on the scheduled date. When I want to get my haircut, I simply show up. This local place reminds me of what the good old days of haircutting used to look like - you took a seat and waited your turn. Aside from being rude and taking less than 5 minutes on my haircut (i wish I was exaggerating), she ignored my request for "just trim it" and said "too long, I do #6". Sounds like candid camera or something, I didn't understand what she meant until she literally started chopping with her scissors. I went in for a trim and came out with a crew cut. I've been to a lot of places to get my haircut and spent up to $20 or $25 bucks, just for a hair cut. Ive been coming here for maybe a year and a half.I have to say that that for a cut and shampoo rinse for $12 bucks, this is great! My hair grows so fast that I'm here just about every 6 weeks and the lady who cuts my hair does an awesome job. She listens to how I want it cut. I like it short, 3 on the sides and 4 on top, blended in and with the back straight along the neck line. I've been here so many times that I don't even have to tell her how I want it cut. This is the place to go for men who want a good haircut & shampoo rinse for $12 bucks. Every time I get my haircut, it only takes about 20 minutes from sitting in the chair to paying. I use to come here for my layered haircuts, especially since it was conveniently close to my home. Plus, for $12 + tip, it was affordable on my college student budget. This Middle Eastern lady use to cut my hair. She would cut it, but didn't really style it to frame my face, and didn't really have any body or bounce to it. So yea, I got what I paid for. This place is pretty dead, I rarely see customers in here, except may be a lady coming in to have her nails done, but that's about it.
