Sadly, an unsafe place for animals. Our dogs had rec'd a rash from being shaved so close to the skin. When we kindly brought this to the owners attention, she became very hostile and aggressive and sent such rude texts to us. We are so incredibly surprised by this text behavior and accusations she made on the text message. Very sad, but have heard many of the same complaints and the turnover for groomers who work there seems to be high. read more

I have been going to Classy Canine for close to 20 years. Starting with my 2 rat terriers, Nikki and AJ and my rescue Chi/Dash mix, Piper. All of my fur babies love going to see the girls at Classy Canine. Some of the reviews I have read are very mean spirited. Dogs will bark and I have never seen anyone yell or be mean to the fur babies. Recently I got a kitten and didn't know she had fleas. Ann went above and beyond to help me clean her up. She was scared and I had to hold her in the tub so she could be treated. Ronnie is doing very well thanks to Classy Canine and I will continue to take her there for a bath. read more

But both of my dogs always came home with a smile on their faces after a bath, a teeth cleaning and nails clipped from the excellent, caring grooming crew at Classy Canines. Not only did I previously take my dog here but I have heard her through the walls screaming at barking dogs. I quit taking my dog when he was clearly afraid to go to his final appointment. He is so afraid of grooming I have to medicate him and work with my husband to get the job done. Particularly around his feet and face, I feel terrible for ever sending him here. She is kind, wonderful with animals and does an excellent job on the hair cuts. I USED to like this place. I would bring my dog at least 2x a year and I didn't want to change her groomers and the groomer she had was always super sweet to my dog. I was never told of any issues... but I've been calling and leaving VMs to never get a call back. If my dog did something, they could at least have the courtesy to tell me instead of just not responding. It's quite unprofessional. I went with my little shit-tzu for a haircut and bath. I was welcome with not much kind "if you cannot wait until I finished with your dog, look for another groomer." I stayed anyway because I had asked a friend to take us in her car. My puppy hadn't had a haircut before, so her hair was 6/7 inches long. This "groomer" did the cut not around 2 1/5" as I had asked her, but 1/50; 2.00; 2 1/2 and any long she wanted. More yet: she did not trim the nails; she said the dog had a hair tangle under the leg so she cut hair to the skin. What did this groomer think? If I could take out the tangle, why should I go to the groomer? As a result: the esthetic of a Shitsu ruined for an awful job, plus a rude welcome, and paid a regular fee for that?! I should have read the comments, especially the ones with 1, 2 , 3 stars, not the 4/5** for they are impossible to have been as told. Probably written by friends or family; the rudeness of a person doesn't change only with the face of a new client! Never again! read more

I have taken my dog here a few times. They do a good job on her cut. But I didn't appreciate my dog being kept almost all day when she had an appointment. I was slightly worried too about my dog not wanting to go back there. She cried, and peed on the floor. She did not seem happy to get groomed there and has not acted like that before . As far as the grooming, her hair cuts are nice. I haven't had an issue with call backs or getting an appointment. read more

Got our fur baby taken care of here and what a great job they did for us! Anna made special accommodations for us since she knew we were going out of town the next day and took our Panchito on her lunch hour! God bless her and she went above and beyond by taking a photo of him for us and showing us he was ok there for his first time. Took my dog in @ 9am, was told he'd be ready by 1, got the call at the wrong phone number @ 3pm. This shop doesn't have a dog run so my dog was locked up in a fairly small cage w/o a potty break or water. These people rarely answer their phones every call ( 5 attempts) goes to recorder. Paula (groomer) does a GREAT job but having my dog treated this way is NOT acceptable. Their customer service is under par AND at this writing, it's CASH ONLY. No ATM or Credit cards, notice on front door for two months at least. read more

My first experience with Classy Canines was by far 5 out of 5. I showed up on a busy Saturday before Labor Day without an appointment, but they still accommodated our scruffy pooch for the much needed groom. The staff was extremely caring in handling her as they took her back. When it was time to pick her up and to our amazement, our dog looked and smelt like a well groomed dog. Paula really, really had done a great job in gussying up my wife's most prized pet. I definitely will be back and will refer Classy Canines whenever given the opportunity. We have been bringing our dogs here off and on for over 10 years. I think there has been a change in ownership/management. Our dog had a very uneven and choppy haircut. His normal "teddy bear face" was a pointy shaved poodle face! We called to discuss and hopefully have him cut evenly and was told a manager would call us back, which never happened. Then we called a few days later and had to leave a message and again no one called us back. It has now been over a week and we have to conclude that they really don't care. If I could put zero stars I would. This place is horible. The only reason I went there is because I purchased a livingsocial.com deal. I have a 90 pound GoldenDoodle. I was told over the phone when I made the appointment that it would take 4 hours to groom my pup. 4 hours is the usual at PetExtreme, Petsmart and any other place I've taken him. I dropped him off at 8am, they told me he would be ready by 2. I informed them that I was told it would only be 4 hours, but I said fine. So 2:30 rolls around and I have not been contacted. Between 2:30 and 3:45 I called around 5 times and they never picked up. So I decided to go over there. When I walked in I was upset and asked where my dog was. The owner was there and told me he was in a cage, I asked to see him. He was wet and sitting in a cage that was about 2.5 feet in height. In 7 hours they had only given him a bath! I asked her how much longer. She said she didn't know, maybe 45 mins. So I waited another hour. When I went back in she was clipping my dogs hair and threw the clippers down and said "my gosh just take him!" I was really frustrated and decided just to take him. When he came out from behind the counter I noticed his tail was completely shaved, even though I told them NOT to touch his tail. I informed her, the owner, the customer service there was terrible and I wouldn't be coming back and she said "good" I was so angry I told her I would be reporting her to BBB and she said, "well we're not affiliated with BBB" oh ok well I see why not. lol. So I finally got my dog home around 5pm. He had not been given a bathroom or water break and it broke my heart. My husband called a dozen times before he got through to someone and he gave them a piece of his mind. They told him that they expect the dogs to urinate in the cage, unless the owner signs a release to let the dog outside. My dog WILL NOT urinate in a cage, he is very well trained. I was never given a release to sign. I submitted a complaint to LivingSocial and was fully reimbursed and they have dropped them from ever doing deals again. This place is awful and in my opinion should be shut down due to animal abuse. read more

My first impression was that the customer service was not very great. It was my first time taking my dog to their shop and I left the place feeling uneasy. I felt that they could have been more attentive to what I wanted for my dog. Upon pick up, my boyfriend felt the same. They did not explain how my dog did nor seemed appreciative of my business. I'm going to start by saying that I'm not from around here, but I do come down a lot for work. I bought a Groupon for this place thinking it'll be a great buy and my Lil pup would enjoy it. Well I've tried to get in contact with them and they never answer and the first time they did, they told me I had to make a week in advance appointment. That's fine if they ever pick up their phone or call customers back.. I've left a couple of messages and still haven't heard anything back from them. I'm going to contact Groupon and see if I'm able to get a refund. I'm not sure of the quality or skills of the groomers, but I had to leave this review just for the simple fact that they have poor customer service. Horrible, if I could of gave it a negative rating I would have done so. Beware of this place. Unless you are looking for cheap and don't care how your pet looks then please do business here. If you care about how your pet looks then this is the wrong place for you. My dog looked horrible. It was an easy short hair cut but when i received my dog there were hairs that were uneven, some large patches around his legs, and it looked like a 5 year old groomed him. POOR QUALITY!!!
