He even ordered the Steinway Decal, which is not easy to get! He pays attention to such detail!

We were referred to Phenoyd by Erwin's Piano Restoration and he did an amazing job on our 100 year old Steinway Grand! He was very patient with our difficulty choosing a color for the stain. But the super part, was he insisted the piano be stripped twice, because it had been painted white at one time. It was such a mess when he got it! He discussed all the options with us and made suggestions, without any pressure to decide. He pays such attention to detail also!

Phenoyd did a marvelous job restoring my grandmother's piano, which now looks just gorgeous and basically like new.

The moment I saw this piano online I really got drawn to it, I was looking for something around 7' and this Kawai 7'-4" was just amazing. After some emails, Ben proceeded to send me some audios from this piano, and that made me realize this was the piano I wanted, the sound was perfect. I arranged and drove for some hours and I was able to walk into the store, all done remotely. I was very pleased by this experience since I really enjoy my time playing an instrument that you are looking to keep and play for a long time to come, and not having a sales person waiting for me right next to the piano and pushing for a sale was a great experience to have. The purchase was done by phone and everything arranged by email. The Delivery was flawless and the piano was cleaned and polished to perfection. This piano being from 1974 was brought to life, at one point it got restored and the job looks very well done. This piano looks like brand new, with such a warm and melodic sound. To make this purchase even better, I had an early 2000s QRS player system from a previous piano and after talking with Ben, one of this Techs. had this system installed. Now this piano is at home and its a delight to sit and enjoy playing its rich sound or to just put some good music and listen to it play itself away. From all the stores in AZ and SoCal, I can say Knauer Pianos was the best to deal with. Thank you

Having called ahead and being told they close at 6:00 I figured I had some time to look at different pianos and learn something about the instruments. At about 4:15 I was told ( by the one "Salesperson" working ) that he had "A meeting to go to" and that I "Knew how to find him if I was interested". The man working the floor wasn't even a pianist,. Business must be great for you guys. I advise everyone to think before going here. Overall a rather sad experience. Buh-Bye. I will never be back. I will be buying a piano but not from you. From what I gather the real inventory is at the store in Agora Hills.

They offer a very competitive price, zero pressure in the showroom, and delivered exactly what I had hoped for. Greg made everything incredibly easy--prompt scheduling, and has a depth of expertise that put me at ease. He does not rush you while in his store and even tells you shop around to make sure you select the right piano! Also Greg and Steve didn't just tune my piano multiple times before I took delivery; they treated it with the care and hired top notch piano movers who were really respectful towards not damaging anything on my property and most of all my brand new "Kawai 60th Anniversay GX-2". Their installation of the Genio non-invasive silent system was flawless--done with minimal screws and absolute respect for the instrument's integrity. You can tell they deeply understand the mechanics and soul of a piano! What really sets Piano Masters apart, though, is their red carpet customer service. They're very professional, and genuinely focused on delivering the best outcome for me as a customer. Their pricing is very competitive, especially considering the level of service you receive--something you would experience at a Lexus or premium car dealership. I definitely recommend Piano Masters! I wouldn't trust my piano with anyone else!

John Tudor gave us a tour of the place along with information & history on pianos. John's father learned his trade in Germany back in the days & passed on the knowledge & craftsmanship to the next generation. There are hundreds of pianos in this warehouse. Some are being restored & Some are being repaired. According to John. Most pianos nowadays are mass produced, & are made with a foam like material to cut cost down & weight. There's only 1 company left that makes pianos by hand & made with hard wood. Only 300 are produced yearly. John explains the difference in upright & Grand pianos. Within the upright, there's 3 different sizes. Upright pianos usually has 2 pedals. You may find some with 3 but it is not a Sostenuto pedal. It is a mute pedal. Sostenuto pedal is only found on Grand pianos. Steinway & Sons perfected this & patent it in 1847. It became a standard but is rarely used. There's only I piece (music) that has the usage of the Sostenuto pedal in play. The Grand Piano has several sizes & names. Baby Grand to Concert Grand! (Largest size, 9 ft long) Very informative tour. If you're looking to purchase a piano & would like a little bit of history & information on where to start in choosing the right piano for you or whom ever, give this place a try. They have "technicians" who could also tune your piano if you already own one.

There's a bit of bias here because Ivan Tudor and his crew happen to be my buddies-of-sorts…read more I'm not sure how useful this review would be aside from serving as a "shout-out" to let you Yelpers know about the existence of this place! Why? Because I'm not a fan of the piano as we know it today. This is Tudor's specialty--the repair, restoration, and sale of fine modern pianos (modern meaning post-1850 or so). He's won numerous awards for his work and has even repaired pianos owned by some very notable people. But anyway, let me tell you a little about why I like them so much. I repair harpsichords and early pianos as a hobby. Aside from his showroom, Ivan Tudor keeps a HUGE warehouse full of pianos from all periods in various stages of repair and disrepair. They're sort of my "piano junkyard" when I need a part for one of my projects. Several years ago, I bought every single harpsichord and fortepiano they had--totaling about seven or eight instruments in all. Evidently a few of them were movie props in the 1940s and 1950s because they had small metal plates on their undersides indicating they were the property of Warner Brothers. How cool is that? I actually found one of them--a piano from 1815--in a picture book of old pianos published in 1953 indicating the photo was furnished by the studio! Their on-site piano tuner and regulator, Vivian, does a very fine job and will come out to tune your piano for what I believe is a standard rate of $85. Voicing and other piano services are by quote. But yeah, the folks here are übercool and while I haven't made use of their restoration services or bought a high-end piano from them, I'd imagine that since this is their bread-and-butter business, they'd be just as accommodating in that regard as they are with my offbeat inquiries about obsolete instruments!
