On our last stay we scoped out the cookware and tableware on arrival; one or two items were missing but a call to the office brought them quickly. Just bear in mind if you want more coffee pods or towels the office is 9 to 5. We just stocked up the first day. A nice grocery store is about one mile away so you can get your eggs and et cetera. So nice to cook breakfast on a sunny summer morning. The rear doors open to a little patio with chairs and table, right by the fishpond. Unfortunately there is not a screen door so if you want the nice breeze coming in, the bugs will come too. There is no awning so if it's raining and you want a smoke you need an umbrella. Very clean, notably the flooring and the carpet which feels great to walk on with bare feet. Plenty of electric outlets, but no charger ports, so plan accordingly. They have have this crazy "Xumo TV" with streaming services galore and it also picks up broadcast/antenna channels, but no cable. The rooms have comfortable furnishings and beautiful large photo prints of nature and the lake area. Full size dressers and big closets. Washer and dryer with provided detergent. The bathtub has one side grab bar for in and out. It's just one step up to enter front door but it is a small step (in atea) so a wee bit precarious. Surprised there is not a small rail. I believe there's at least one unit with no steps, for accessibility.

I'd heard the villas were really nice, but didn't know they were exceptionally furnished and comfortable down to the smallest details of dish soap, shampoo, etc. They were kind enough to give us an extra half day for packing all the baby necessities after his nap before getting back on the road. We'll be staying here again. Great people, great staff. All you have to do is ask, and they are willing to make your stay perfect. Highly recommend. A++++++++++++

Lots of walking space to stretch your legs or let your pets run and do their business. Please pick up after your pets though. It's quick off and right back on I-75 South. Very relaxing and just what this tired Mom needed. The Brighton room was cozy and peaceful, the bed very comfortable. I had peace and quiet and that was just what I was looking for. To top it off, I had ordered food delivery and after 2 -1/2 hour wait it never came and I had no dinner. One of the hosts, Jerome found me and I explained and he insisted on making sure I was fed and heated me up a steak and fried potatoes. I was so grateful and it was delicious and way better than the delivery that never came. In the morning I was fed the fluffiest Griddle pancake that was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside served with honey vanilla butter sauce and maple syrup. I also had cheesy eggs toast and sausage. It was all fantastic! I had to take half home it was so filling. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing night away. We moved away in 2012 it was fabulous back then. Upon checking in the Lobby is very dim/dark it needs some brightness to it. The man at the desk was not the friendliest. The lady who answered the phone when we called ahead was better at customer service so they may want to think of changing roles. The Lobby was clean. I do hate they got rid of the pool and put in a conference room. Even though we didn't bring our kids this trip. that's usually a sales point for us so we usually stay in Bluffton or Portland when we come visit our families. Our room was on the second floor and this hotel has not elevators so if you have limits make sure you let them know prior. The bed was clean no issues at first when I sat on the bed I felt it was going to be a hard sleep because the bed was way to soft. (We prefer xtra firm) but with that being said when we laid down it was actually pretty comfortable. you melt into the bed. Even thought they don't have an attendee during the night they do have an emergency number to call we didn't need the number at all. Down fall we went to the bathroom to take a shower and noticed that on the back of door their was some blue sprayed on the door (tooth paste maybe) along with the outside of the tub base had stuff on it that was brown. So we did have to clean the tub prior to using it. The water pressure is not the greatest but it did it's job. They don't have enough shampoo in the room for two people so make sure you ask for more or bring yours from home. Pricing: the price was great it was 1/2 the price we would of paid in Bluffton or Portland. But I would pay higher to have the bathrooms cleaner. At 10 am housekeeping knocked on the door to see if we needed anything or to remind us that check out is at 11am. Lol...When we went to leave the same attendant was working this time much friendlier. Their staff go above and beyond to insure groups receive access to desired sites. Before trips K&K representatives travel to each school to fully inform and prepare parents about K&K's process and policies including the option to purchase trip insurance to cover cancellations. In reference to other negative reviews due to covid cancellations, every family was given the choice to obtain trip insurance. If they lost money for a canceled trip, they obviously refused to buy insurance, a choice they made at their own peril. Overall, K&K Tours is the gold standard for DC trips.
