We stayed in the West Loft and there is a comfortable living room, a very nice kitchen / dining area, king size be and a washer and dryer with available detergent. We stayed 2 nights and my wife and I both said we wished me had stayed here the first night instead of the downtown Westin Indy. The lofts were 3 - 4 times bigger and much more comfortable. When I visit the area in the future, I will first check availability at The Lofts and plan my trip based on the ability to stay here. Accommodations like this were sorely needed in the area and I thank the owners for providing travelers this option.

The Lofts on Main are a new hot spot in Cambridge City, IN - located right along US Route 40 (The…read moreNational Road) and in the midst of an antique alley. With 2 lofts available, you can choose the west loft for a solo or couples getaway (sleeps 2) or the east loft for a group (sleeps up to 4). The lofts are newly remodeled in a historic downtown building. Each loft features a cozy & comfortable king-sized bed, kitchen, dining area, spacious living room, a washer/dryer, and full-size bathroom. You can rent by the night or long term. The living room was one of my favorite spots, with super cozy couches, pillows, a blanket, armchair, games, books to read, and a nice sized smart TV. The stocked kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook a meal or just have something simple. A Keurig and K-cups are provided. The candy dish in the kitchen was a nice, sweet touch. Cleaning supplies & disinfectants were made available in the loft as well. You enter the suites through the front of the building and stairs are used to access them. A backdoor with stairs that lead to the parking lot in the back of the building is available as well if need. A laundry closet features and washer and dryer, laundry basket, and other laundry accessories. The front windows look out unto Route 40, adding lots of natural lights and a quiet view. My stay was quiet and comfortable. It was a perfect little getaway. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Suggestions for cinnamon rolls at King's Cafe (walking distance) and visiting the surrounding shops were appreciated (and delicious).

I recently saw the negative review by a previous camper who wants to give a very one sided view of the campground and its owners. First of all, no one is evicted for a first offense. The campers in question had small children and would put them to bed early and stay up all night and sleep until afternoon while their children roamed the campground for hours in search of food because their parents couldn't get out of bed. After they were confronted they constantly harassed the people they thought told on them and tried to intimidate them to get them to leave. The cop that was mentioned did in fact break his leg but after he bounced a check to the campground and after given an opportunity to make payments again failed and was asked to leave. The campground owners will work with people but you have to be honest and make good on your promise to pay as they are running a business and not a charity. The owners have increased the fees but not every year. Some years up to $200 for the most expensive lake lot and nothing for others. The owners installed sewers with lift stations throughout the campground and pay tens of thousands of dollars a season to have the sewer treated from the Town of Wolcottville (who they tried to have meter the usage in hopes of getting the price down so not to pass it on to the campers to no avail). My family and I have made some wonderful memories here and love this place. The owners are wonderful family people themselves who will go through great lengths to accommodate anyone. I for one am grateful that the owners try to regulate the partiers so the kids and fisherman who get up early to be on the lake can also enjoy the park. There are also older people who come to relax. The bottom line is that you get what you pay for. This is a first class facility that is constantly being upgraded.
