Nothing fancy and no extra perks (coffee, drinks, etc.) but worth it. It is small and has 2 hair styling chairs, 1 blow dryer chair and 1 chair for hair washing. I get the impression the owner is the only employee and she doesn't have business cards but this basic place is cheap and does good work. You do not have to have a appointment but with only one person it would be a crap shoot to get in without one. I would just call ahead. The main thing to remember is this is a 100% CASH ONLY place. They also do NOT sell hair products (stylers, shampoo, etc.) Parking is behind the store.

Experience: Came into the clean but VERY basic salon. Marina was working on a client so I thought.. "This place can't be all that bad if she has a customer." I came prepared and brought some photos of the way I wanted my hair cut and colored. She immediately told me she could not do that. "Okay, why not?" I asked. She barked at me, "I do not bleach hair. It damages the hair!" Me, looking down at the floor, mumbled: "Well.. umm.. it's my hair." Marina rudely said: "Look, who is the professional here? You or me? I have been doing hair for fifteen years. If you want your hair bleached, you can go somewhere else." Holy SHITaki mushrooms. I've been working in the service industry for years and have never spoken to a client like that. I decided to do my hair anyway against my better judgment because honestly, my hair was a hot mess. During the haircut, she got a phone call and told whoever was on the phone "Okay, I'll be there at 2 o'clock." It was 1PM and I hadn't even had my hair dyed yet. After the haircut, she quickly put some dye on my hair (didn't show me any colors or anything), slapped it between some foil, and told me to sit still for fifteen minutes. I asked her if after this she would put highlights in my hair. She told me she's coloring my hair and highlighting it at the same time. How does one color and highlight a person's hair at the same time WITH THE SAME HAIR DYE? Seriously, I knew she was rushing to get to wherever she had to go. If my mom didn't teach me to be well-mannered, I would have gone ape-shit on her about how poor her customer service. But luckily, she did so instead I can warn other Yelpers about her poor customer service.

Any high end salon would have someone else doing this besides the stylist. Why? Well... for one, the apprentices take more time to do it, and they make it a part of your experience. It's my favorite party, and I don't like rushing it! Two: you're paying for your stylist to listen to you and cut/color/style your hair. If you love your stylist and your hair... then you have what you paid for - which is a job well done. I always love my hair when it's finished. If I could afford to go more often, I would! I drive far just to go to this specific place, because I love what my stylist does. I wouldn't go anywhere else. In fact, I have gone to other places because I thought I could pay less, or because I was in a pinch, and I ended up hating my hair and regretting that I just didn't go to Peaches.
