Jessica Givens was my assigned escrow officer. She did not communicate at all until week of…read moreclosing. Documents she needed signed and notarized spelled my name wrong. In reading the documents they stated that a wire could only be sent to my trust account, which I did not have and have never needed to buy real estate. They said they found a work around by doing extra verification and requiring me to spend 30 minutes with an app. My agent then texted to tell me that they couldn't solve it after all. I would get a check mailed not wired and I had to go open a new account. After 3 hours at the bank, I opened the account. Today, the check they overnighted is yet to be received. They now claim it was lost. I asked about a wire again since I spent the time to open the account and she ignored the question. She says a new check is going out today. So I don't own the property as it closed Thursday of last week and everyone has been paid but me, the owner. They have not offered any reimbursement or to refund for their unprofessional service. Do not use this title company. I've been in real estate for 30 years and have never seen such bad service and poor work.

During our search for a rental home in Mobile, I visited a couple of properties that Reeves Rentals…read moreowns. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and I liked that all of the properties and details were listed online. That is where the good stops. Both properties we looked at were in terrible condition. One was an adorable duplex in a nice intown neighborhood, but the toilet had clearly overflown all over the floor and not been cleaned up. There was mold growing on the ceiling (the fuzzy kind, not mildew). The walls were in terrible shape, obviously beat up and repaired poorly. The other property was a townhouse, and it was in slightly better condition, although it was dated and a bit dirty. In the storage closet off the back, there was mold all over the wall from the ceiling down, indicating a water leak problem. I just got a very bad vibe from both homes and felt that if they were not well cared for upon viewing, there was no way my maintenance requests and such would be handled properly if we lived there. I mentioned some of this to the receptionist, and she wasn't really surprised. I got the impression that that's just how they do business. I guess if you need a place to live that's one or two hundred dollars a month less than the nicer places in town, this is where you come. Me, I'd prefer to pay a little extra to be comfortable.
