It is the kind of offer you don't get at most places of business, and greatly appreciated. I have been going to TNT for many years and the service and expertise of Tim and Amber is top notch. I highly recommend their business. Jerry Smith Okemos, MI

On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, I researched, online, a new pool filter valve to get a feel for prices…read more Called here for availability...had to take the valve in for identification. Owner found a replacement, couldn't/wouldn't say if it was a direct replacement or a substitute, or if he could get it next day for sure, & told me $196. I showed him the picture/info I had saved from my research & asked if it was the same one...if so, I could get one online for $100. I fully expected him to knock a few bucks off the price but instead he exploded, yelling at me that I'd wasted his time & insulted him by "googling" the info right in front of him & that he had a brick & mortar store and had to make a living. He used a lot of "f**king" & "f**k" in his tirade, and told me to "get the F**k out of here and never come back." If he'd of offered me just a little off, I'd of bought from him just to have it right away. Instead, I'll never go back here again...not for a bottle of chlorine or a test strip. I've been a customer here for 5 years, buying all my supplies here. I'm really sorry I already bought 2 cases of chlorine last week here. Last year, he gouged me $80 for a pool pump basket cover that I knew I could get online for $25, but I needed it right away as grandkids were in pool when it broke, and he had one in stock...so I paid it without complaint. Incidentally, I did order the valve online, for $114 & free shipping , got it the next day and installed it. If I'd been willing to wait a week for delivery, I could have bought it for $89. (I wonder what he pays wholesale for it if I can get it for $89) From now on, I'll go online or to Menard's for my supplies. I like to support local small businesses, but I have to "make a living" too and that involves finding the best values I can on a modest fixed income. I can't afford to support local business to the tune of paying up to 300% markup. Needless to say, I've told my 3 neighbors with pools about this incident.

2017 Update: After much discussion and several visits, we…read moredid receive a refund for the "extra electrical" that their subcontractor charged us on the spot, for electrical that was already included in our contract with Midwest. We also received a refund for the drainage repair we paid for after the Midwest workers crushed a large PVC drainage tube and then covered it up without telling us. Product-wise, we've been happy with the fiberglass pool. Granted, we've only had it open for one season. We also invested in a power cover, and although we're happy with the added level of safety, I'm a little concerned with the quality of the actual mechanics. We'll see how long it lasts. Here is some advice if you're planning on going with Midwest: 1 - Ask for a name and number of the Midwest employee that will be overseeing you're entire installation, and make sure they're at your house when the subcontractors are working. Most of our issues wouldn't have happened if their subcontractors were properly supervised by a Midwest employee. After all, that is what you're paying Midwest to do. 2 - Get everything in writing. Even if it's for something small. The labor to close our pool was already covered by an addendum, but we had to prove it on three separate occasions.

In 2020 the only thing our swimming pool needed was a liner, by the time they were done with it they had caused permanent damage to our property and our pool. They are currently using the photos of the destruction they caused as examples of their repairs. After months of rejection by other Pool companies due to the extensive damage caused, we were very blessed to find a pool company out of Ionia who was willing to take on the task of fixing all of the damage caused by them.

The next day my husband went into the shop and spoke to Theresa in person, she assured him that she herself would be at our house that evening to open our pool. Well needless to say another no call no show! Don't lie to people and say you are going to do something and don't. And to not even call with an explanation?! Horrible experience and would never recommend this business to anyone.
